  Roworth Hunters Agency-Introduction

“Welcome to Roworth Hunters Agency men….and woman,”

With a firm, friendly yet confident smile, Aeos stared at the small crowd in front of her. Her voice rang clear through the small half-empty and undecorated conference hall. In front of her stood a small crowd, perhaps twenty or thirty people. Most of them were men with only a few women.

Go girl power she thought to herself with a wry smile.

She coughed into her hand politely clearing her throat before continuing.

“I don’t have much to say on this topic. I don’t look into the business of the clients that approach me, nor do I look into the business of the hunters that takes a job. My only concern is whether the hunter performs as he should. You have been warned. Mess up the job and the next bounty might be on you. With the first job you take on, you will receive a standard issued data-slide which you can connect with you computers, datapads or communicators at all time. This slide will be updated with new targets regularly. Whoever delivers first gets the cash. You work here at your own risk. We don’t do funerals, thank you,”

No applause followed as Aeos left the small make-shift stage. Only silent murmurs of voices sounded with the sharp screeching of chairs that mingled in between. Aeos grabbed the dark gloved hand that waited for her as she jumped off the small stage.

“You did fine,” a voice murmured into her hair. Her whole body trembled as his deep voice continued to rumble.  Aeos sighed and suppressed the nervous laughter that threatened to burst from her lips. Jegora gently squeezed her petite hands in his giant hands, and pulled her into a deeper hug.

“Yeah, Yeah, I’m just hoping it works out. Thank for doing this with me,”

“Hi, I love your cooking; I ain’t giving that up,”

Aeos grinned up at Jegora who smiled back at her awkwardly, his face clearly not used to the expression even if she grew accustomed to it. Not even asking where Jegora was leading her, Aeos just followed the tug of his arms as it leads her through the exit.

One very good lunch later, and they were both back home, this time Aeos’ condo.

Jegora was murmuring something about Holonet, flicking from one squad briefing to the sports channel and back while Aeos spent her time at the dinner table, cluttered with datapads, notes and papers.

Aeos sighed, and rubbed the bridge of her nose.
She was really nervous about this whole business. Selling stocks and buying buildings whatnot else was a very daunting task. They were supposed to open in three weeks, and nothing was near from being ready. Luckily she has already managed to garner some bounties and with those bounties completed, her reputation would hopefully spread to receive bigger jobs.

A loud grunt of frustration vibrated across the open plan house, causing Aeos to look up Jegora didn’t seem to realize the volume of his frustration as he continued to shake his head at the screen in front of him.

“Your team lost?” she asked to him, while looking back to her work again.

“No, nearly scored, but the new team manager is from the Coruscantan, those idiots no nothing about-“

“That what you said the previous five sweetie, you might have to accept it. Your team sucks,”

Jegora said nothing except uttering another grunt causing Aeos to smile, her eyes focused on the numbers on the datapad again.

Jegora promised he would be stepping in from time to time to help out, but right now, Aeos would be doing the most work until a balance could be worked out. The building they had bought was in the capital city, a bit run-down and broken but repairable. They were not big enough to occupy the upper floor, but Jegora convinced Aeos to buy the whole building, and just use the first floor. Luckily they were able to afford a bit more on their budget, allowing Aeos contact some construction workers and designers to patch the building up to a cheap it acceptable presentation.
Only time would tell whether their money would be going down the drain or not.

“When are you going to Tatooine?”

Aeos looked up again and groaned.

“You forgot didn’t you?” asked Jegora, his eyes fixed on the screen.

“Yeah, I’ll leave tomorrow; since I’m not in the Army anymore, my time is pretty much free,”

“Neither said anything for a while. The strange incident when Jegora arrested Aeos was still fresh in their minds but it failed to damage the young relationship they shared. After her demotion, Aeos had decided to leave the Army.

“What’s the story of this guy you’re going to see?” Jegora asked after taking a sip from his tea. Aeos’ obsessive tea drinking had finally had its effect on him as well.

“I’m one of the few people in the galaxy that he owes a favor, usually it’s the other way around, he could be a powerful contact to have on our list,”

“And what is his name?”

“Gulla, Gulla the Hutt,”
