When pictures are located on other servers, expecially free hosting servers, those servers don't want to spend extra bandwidth sending out pictures that are accessed (displayed) on other web sites (this mostly occurs on free hosting servers as they set them to do that). As a result, those pictures won't be displayed in your browser and will just show the dreaded "RED X OF DOOM", as Tycho put it.  -----------------------

Homestead.com or freehomepage.com may or may not use that mechanism. They would tell you if they did though. Their servers may also be slow during that time you tried to access the picture resulting in a timeout and the red X of doom. You can always preview your post to make sure the picture will show up, and/or show the link as well. You could also create the picture as a hyperlink, incase it didn't show up. Once you view the picture at that link, it should be stored in your cache so you'll be able to see it on the page instead of the red X of doom.

Actaully, I can only see Stormy's, Cos's shows up as the Red X of Doom. One problem Stormy, we refuse to even put on the armor, much less become Stormtroopers
