This would be GREAT if this would become and official platform.
This is for those of us army fella's who own an Xbox. Anyone that owns an Xbox has undoubtedly either played or heard of the megahit game "Halo: Combat Evolved". This is BARNONE the best combat game I have ever played, it has won the following AIA awards: and Outstanding Achievement in Visual Engineering. Three of those are the three major categories of the awards! And now thanks to Gamespy Arcade or Xbox Connector we can play this marvelous title online with any other XBox users that own a copy.
All in all I feel this would be a most excellent addition to the Army's platforms (and the Dark Jedi's as well), and for the people that would argue that it is a "non-Star Wars" title... this club plays StarCraft, that's "non-Star Wars" as well.
Tell me what you all think! Xbox users, show your support, please! Thanks everyone, I hope this becomes a possibility!

I would sayyyy.. if you can find about 5 people with an X-Box who also play Halo, and they become active members of the Vast Empire, you stand a much better chance of getting it implemented. Of course, I'm just a lowly corporal, so don't listen to me  -----------------------

Hmmm, I like the idea of just PC gaming, since I don't have an Xbox, and plus, I like my comp.  But that's just my opinion. -----------------------

1) I've already found a couple of members for support, and a couple of people that are willing to join if it's made a platform.
2) WHEN the PC version finnally comes out I've heard that the two will be compatible to play with each other as well, for those of you who DON'T own an XBox.

 I would like to know one thing, IF we do support that for the Army, how would we play MP games? Would we call each other up and give out directions to perfect strangers as to where our house is?  No, I don't think so. I think the best idea is if you want to support this platform, find a place that has XBOX roms and emulators for download. Then we can play MP on the net instead of having to go to people's houses.  -----------------------

Hey, Jedi.. In case you didn't read the first post carefully enough I'll repeat myself...
YOU CAN PLAY XBOX ONLINE RIGHT NOW! I DO IT OFTEN.
You ask how? Download xbox connector or gamespy arcade and tunnel software. hook ur xbox to ur computer, modem, or hub, and you're ready to go. This software on ur computer "tricks" ur computer to thinking its playing on a LAN with other XBoxes system linked to it through ethernet cables.
To learn more just go to gamespy arcade's page about the tunnel software. -----------------------

hmm,... i think not all Army ppl have an X-Box (that's why i nag to 3 to buy me one  )
so.. i guess it cannot be a general platform for Army Gaming System... uhh..what the hee i've talked about here. -----------------------

I'd say if you can get a list of 10 people who would like it to be a VEA gaming platform (meaning they own it), then it would be accepted. I played it in EB once and it was pretty fun, although I prefer the mouse/keyboard mix for first person shooters. -----------------------
