Maybe Opposites Don't Attract (Fayeena and Ken)

Ken and few troopers from Phoenix Company staff occupied the barracks' gym, maintaining their combat readiness. Ken was lifting free weights while most of the staff troopers used aerobic machines. One of them, First Sergeant Denn something, had opted for the weights, too. He and Ken talked a while, and both learned a bit of what it was on the other end of the Corps.

Both troopers looked over when the gym steward, a sour old Sergeant, stepped out of his office. He walked around the room, making sure none of the machines was broken and none of the exercisers was misbehaving. After a few minutes he stepped back into his office without a word.

"What's his deal? He's like the walking dead," Ken asked.

"Too old for combat, too dumb for command," Denn explained. "They stuck him here to get him outta the way."

"Sucks to be him. Sounds like a cushy job, though, sleeping in that office all day. And when the girls come in..."

As if on cue, a new trooper entered the gym. A tall, curvy Togruta woman wearing PT gear. Every man in the gym looked over, and some looked longer than they should have. Ken watched her enter, but didn't keep watching. Denn found her far more interesting.

"You see that?" he asked Ken in a quiet voice. "That trooper's built, that's for sure."

"She's an alien," Ken replied, "who cares what she looks like?"

"What? Don't tell me you're one of them. You really don't think she's attractive?"

Ken shook his head. "From the neck down, maybe, but I don't like legheads."

Denn grinned. "More for the rest of us," he chuckled.

The staff trooper watched out of the corner of his eye while the newcomer stretched in the corner, amazed that Ken wasn't interested.

"I don't care if you're ex-Imperial," he told Ken, "you're crazy if you don't like that."

Ken shook his head, smirking. Then, to Denn's delight and his bemusement, the Togruta walked right towards them. She picked up a pair of weights and sat across from the two men.

"Good morning, boys," she said cheerfully. "how are you today?"

"We're doing well, thanks! My name's Denn, and this is Ken. Pleased to meet you."

"Pleased to meet you, too! I'm Fayeena. Ken... Ken Alibak? Iron Horse?"

Ken finally looked up, but still didn't smile. "Alibek. That's right, what about it?"

"I just left boot, and they assigned me to your squad. You'll show me around, right?"

Ken knew he would be expected to help his squadmates, regardless of species, so he sucked up his pride and nodded.

"I guess I have to," Ken replied glumly.

Had Fayeena been the type to get shy she would have avoided the usually all man gym in the barracks and instead headed to the much larger one across the base.  But Fayeena wasn't shy, thank goddess, or who knew what she would have done when the door opened to the gym and all eyes were on her.  A casual grin crossed her gentle features and she walked casually in.  Weights, she wanted to lift weights, why?  Because she didn't like that the other mechanics were able to lift more then her.  That and a lot of the vehicle's controls were hard to control without a little muscle.  Dressed in a small tank top and shorts, Fayeena stretched her muscles before heading over to the bars.  Her face suddenly scrunched a little reconizing one of the men by the bars.  She was pretty sure she had seen him before...except she didn't think he looked so old.  Well more like a crabby old man and someone had taken away his favorite recliner.

Fayeena smirked again, introductions were made and the connection was solved.  He was on her squad, made sense, she had read over them a hundred times in the archives.  She couldn't wait to join them for their first mission, dang the tree day weekends!

"Excellent, we will have fun like two cabbages in a pod!" Fayeena grinned grabbing onto Ken's arm and pulling him to his feet.  She didn't stop grinning as Ken yanked his hand away as if she carried some disease and rubbed his shoulder.

"A little strong aren't you?" he asked dryly.

"No, not as much as I would like," Fayeena chuckled, "Now come give me a tour!  I am excited!" she cooed as they left the gym, eyes watching her as she left.  Once outside the gym Fayeena linked arms with Ken half pulling him.

"Seriously, stop that," Ken finally said getting his arm back two hallways down.

"Stop what?" Fayeena asked looking at him.

"Touching me."

"You are not liking, me being close?" Fayeena asked curiously taking a step closer to Ken, making him take a step back.  They continued the game until Ken's back hit the wall.

"would you back off?!" Ken said holding back a yell.

"Me being so close, is uncomfortable?" Fayeena asked her voice turning into a husky whisper.

"YES!" Ken replied, "I mean aren't you Togruta poisonous or something?"

Fayeena replied by giving Ken a long lick on the cheek, "If you die from that, let me know," she commented and giggled her white pointed teeth flashing in a grin.

Ken grimaced at the sight of her teeth. He growled quietly. "I have to help you, OK? Don't make this worse. Give me some space."

"Oh, you'll be fine," Fay said as she grasped Ken's arm. "Show me the barracks?"

Ken seethed as the alien laid her hands on him yet again. He wanted to strike her right there, but as with Saphira, he knew that starting a fight would probably get him thrown out of the Corps. So, without a word or a gesture, he began walking for the barracks.

Ken explained the building's layout as he and Fay stepped into a stairwell. "This building has a bunch of barracks stacked on top of each other. Ours is on level five, toward the south. It's a lot like the Academy barracks, but not as crowded. Our level has the barracks, latrine, showers, a game room, utility room... Most of what you need is right there."

"I see. What is everyone else in the squad like?" Fay asked.

"You can find out for yourself," Ken suggested. "We had a big shakeup, anyway. I only know two of the guys that stayed on."

"Really? That's too bad," Fay replied. "Can't fight with strangers, right?" She shot Ken a wink, knowing just how to push his buttons.

"Save it," Ken commanded. "You know I'm not interested."

The pair finally reached the barracks, and Ken opened the door. He didn't bother to hold it open, but Fay didn't seem to notice. She was more interested in looking around the barracks. Liam was in his bunk with a few tools, disassembling some damn thing. Ken pointed at a door next to the barracks entrance. It bore a nameplate that read PSG GIOVANNI BRYDEN, SQUAD LEADER.

"That's Gio's office," Ken said, stating the obvious. "You'd better check in with him. Maybe latch onto him instead of me."

"Do I have to? I'd rather stay out here with you."

"YES. I'll see you later, OK?"

"Promise?"

Ken gave an exasperated sigh. "Yes, I promise."

Fay waved goodbye to Ken as he quickly fled the barracks, hoping to find someplace the Togruta wouldn't find him.

"Boring, I have all next week to bother him!" Fayeena announced turning away from the door and taking off down the hallway.  It was obvious, too obvious, that this Ken fellow wasn't comfortable around her and in turn that made her want to be around him even more.  Now the question was, where was he hiding?  Whistling innocently she hacked into one of the information computers and tracked down where Ken's room was.  Still whistling innocently she made her way to his room.  The lock was simple enough, she had broken into harder, well actually smashing the consult with her fist didn't count as hacking.  She let out a last low whistle as she answered and looked around.  Lots of things to snoop around in.

"Crap, crap, crap, crap," Fayeena murmured as she went through drawers and threw stuff over her shoulder.  "Ooo nice shirt," she said stripping off her tank top and putting on one of the blue shirts she found.  Creatively, she easily tied half of the shirt in a knot right under her bra before digging through the clothes again.  "Boy jeans awesome," she added putting on a pair of baggy cargo jeans and letting them sag on her hips.  "A bit too baggy though," she added pulling out a nice leather belt and putting it on.

"Well I am, dressed for success as they say," she grinned looking in the mirror and approving before continuing her search.  Shoving her hands in her pockets, Kayeena found a pair of sunglasses and put them on as she walked down the hallway, "Now lets see, if I were a paranoid guy where would I hide?" she questioned quietly leaning against a wall to think.

Ken crept up the stairway toward his room, hoping not to run into Fayeena before he could retreat inside. He checked the hall, saw nobody, and stepped out. He walked hurriedly inside, finally reaching sanctuary. Then he saw the smashed door console.

"What the hell..?" Ken grasped his work tool and unfolded the knife, then used what was left of the console to open the door. He dashed inside while he still had the element of surprise, and came face to face with...

Nobody. He looked around his room and found Fay's clothes on the floor, his drawers opened... He stalked out of his room and walked down the hallway. He turned the first corner and found Fayeena leaning against the wall, wearing his clothes. Ken's face turned white.

"Fayeena! Dammit, who do you think you are? Why did you break into my room?

"I was looking for you! You promised to see me later, right?"

"Will you leave me alone, already?! And get out of my clothes!"

"Undress? Now? But we barely know each other!" Fay giggled.

Ken's fists clenched, knuckles turned white. He crouched down, picked up Fay's clothes, and stalked back to his room while Fay followed. He flung them into the bathroom. With barely concealed rage, he pointed at them while staring Fay down.

"Go change in the bathroom, now. I'm not putting up with any more of this. Any more crap and I'm pulling those damn tails outta your head with my bare hands."

Fay could tell he was serious, so she walked into the bathroom without a word, closing the door behind her. Ken laid down on his bed and took a few deep breaths. How could he let this alien get to him so badly? He thought, as he often did, of Corulag, where you could go days without seeing an alien face. Even when you did see a non-human, they knew their place. You could shove them in the street, and they wouldn't say a word. Half the time, they would apologize for getting in your way! On Tadath, Ken could barely go an hour without seeing a dozen aliens, and they were so damned arrogant! Ken put his hands over his face. When will he get to go back home?

Suddenly, a sound from the bathroom caught his attention. What was Fay doing in there?

Innocent whistling, and there went the shirt down the hole, the pants on the other hand...Fayeena would keep those on, they were too comfortable to give up.  She bounded out of the bathroom and plopped down on the bed next to Ken.  "Sorry, your shirt is ruined, and these pants are too comfortable to give up," she purred happily resting her chin on his shoulder, her montrals vibrating a little.  "OOOoo you smell like human boy.  You know that's the funny thing about humans.  You have such interesting smells, and bodies.  Very soft and squishy bodies.  I mean how do you guys survive infanthood without anything to protect your heads?" she asked poking and prodding Ken's head, her chest occasionally brushing against the back of his neck.  "Not only that how do you know who id part of your tribe, you have no marks on your skin?"

"Would you stop that, I don't like you, now what did you do with my shirt?" Ken demanded jumping to his feet, his face bright red.

"Currently, its clogging up your toilet," Kayeena commented casually looking amused as she laid back on Ken's bed, "Oo this bed is comfortable, like thunderstorm, right?" she said fluffing one of the pillows and making herself comfortable.

"Get off my bed!" Ken demanded before rushing into the bathroom, splashing footsteps and cursing followed a few minutes later as Ken rushed out holding a shirt in front of him and dumping it in the trash.  Kayeena whistled a little as she listened to him wash his hands and then charge back into the room.  "Where do you come off?" he yelled his knuckles turning white in rage as Kayeena sat up on the bed.

"What do you mean?" she asked innocently blinking a few times.

"I don't like you, I hate everything about your kind!" Ken practically screamed.

"Hey now it's just a shirt!" Kayeena said getting to her feet and standing in front of Ken her eyes narrowing.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Ken's fist flew out towards Kayeena's face, that is until she moved, her horned head butting into Ken's stomach, and then her long legs sweeping him out from his feet.  Without a word she grabbed a cup of water that was nearby and dumped it on Ken.

"All better?" she asked leaning over Ken smiling before standing up straight and sitting on the bed, "now go take a shower, cool off, we're going to a club."

Ken remained on the floor a while, struggling to find a way out of this predicament. He couldn't just do whatever she said, he couldn't fight her until he was calm, and he couldn't call the MPs or he'd be the laughingstock of the platoon. What could he do? He could stay on the floor and think this through.

"You OK down there?" Fay asked, looking down at her squadmate.

"I'll be OK... someday..."

"Come on," Fay insisted as she bent down and pulled at his wrist. "Get up."

Ken finally relented, climbing to his feet. He needed a shower after his workout, anyway, and maybe it would give him some time to think. He grabbed a duty uniform from his closet and brought it into the bathroom while Fay looked on.

"Why a duty uniform?" she asked with an infuriating smile. "We're going out, remember?"

Ken didn't say a word. He just closed the door behind him and got undressed. He stepped into the shower and turned on the water. He forced himself to ignore the fact that Fay was probably going through the rest of his stuff and concentrated on his other problems.

I can replace the door console easily. Same with the clothes. I'll just make her pay me back later... But how do I get her out of my room now? I'm sure as hell not going to a club with her...

Ken shut off the water and stepped out of the shower. He dried off and put on the duty uniform, then stepped into the bedroom again.

"You'll have to go without me, Fayeena." Ken said, calmly. "I've got some cleaning up to do. First of all, I've got to find the supply sergeant and get a new door console."

Before Ken could react, Fayeena tackled him to the ground, rather harshly at that and sat on his stomach, "Please, you can do that stuff later, all I'm asking for is like what?  Three hours of your time, we'll go out dance, drink, then come back and go our seperate ways," Fayeena said pushing Ken back down as he tried to get up.

"I just like the seperate ways part," Ken growled.

"Fine," Kayeena responded digging into her pocket and pulling out a crumbled piece of paper, "I didn't want to have to do this, but you've been chosen to be my sponsor, to show me around, and make sure I don't get in trouble.  Which means if I get in trouble, you'll get in trouble too."

"There's no way I'm going to the club...what are you doing with that candy bar?" Ken demanded right before Fayeena smeared the half melted bar on his uniform.

"Well you can't go to duty in a dirty uniform," she said matter of fact standing up, looking around where to wipe her hands and then did so on Ken's bed sheets.  "So I'm going to meet you here in an hour, and we can leave for the club.  If you're not here then I go find you and tail you the entire three day weekend.  At least in a club we can loose each other," she said before leaving the room.

Ken sat on the floor, stunned. He was her guide?

"Shit, someone must really hate me... What did I do to deserve this?"

He sighed deeply and took off his uniform tunic. He threw on another one, then tore off the bedspread and tucked both soiled articled under his arm. Whether or not he went with Fay, these had to be cleaned soon or he'd have to replace them. As he walked down to the laundry, he frantically thought about how to get out of hanging out with an alien. Unfortunately, his brain was firing on all cylinders -- but couldn't get out of first gear.

Maybe if I stopped reacting so much she'd back off... Probably. Maybe I should just act real friendly... Pretend she's human!

Ken grinned as he walked into the laundry room and crammed his soiled items into a washer. Fay clearly thrived off his disgust, so if he took it away... It's worth a try, anyway, right?

Ken still had plenty of time before Fay'd get to his room, so he went from the laundry room to the supply sergeant. Getting the new door console was easy, but convincing the sergeant that he didn't need help installing it was the real challenge. After a short argument, Ken was on his way back up to his room. He went inside to grab his tools, then set to work replacing the console Fayeena had destroyed. It was only a simple wiring job, and Ken had it finished, tested, and cleaned up with time to spare. He returned to the laundry room, moved his stuff to a dryer, then went back up to change.

He cut it close, getting dressed in his civvies only moments before Fay came to his now fully-functional door. With his hair still damp, he answered the door.

"You ready to go out?" Fay asked cheerfully.

Two can play that game, thought Ken.

"Sure am! Come on, Fayeena, we'll take my speeder bike!"

There was a knock to Kayeena's door, she smiled looking at her reflection one last time before answering the door.  There a damp looking Ken stood, his hands in his pocket and looking less then pleased.

"Excellent, I'll have to drive because you probably have no idea where we're going," Fayeena commented as they walked down the hallways a grin etched on her face as she linked arms with Ken.  "No offense but were we're going doesn't really seem like you type of scene, but you shouldn't have trouble fitting in.  Most people don't unless they try.  Oh, nice bike," Fayeena commented walking around the bike, even looking underneath it, "Impressed, I didn't even take you for someone who would know a thing about bikes."

"I could say the same," Ken answered back throwing a helmet to Fayeena, only to have her throw it back.

"Remember, I'm from a species with extremely hard heads," she said tapping one of her montrals.  Jumping onto the bike, grudingly, probably to the fact that someone else was driving his bike, Ken sat down behind Fayeena and then had to grip her waist for dear life as she took off, merging into heavy traffic, with ease she slipped around the people stuck at a stand still.  They had been riding for about fifteen minutes when Fayeena pulled off into an alley and parked beside several speeders.

"Mostly people just walk," Fayeena commented hoping off the bike and taking off the jacketr she had been wearing to reveal the small top, black in color she was wearing and a pair of black pants.  "Come on Ken, don't just stand there," she chuckled kicking off her shoes at the doorway and heading inside.  Heavy drums vibrated around the room, other instruments joined in with the drums bouncing off its rythmn.  The club was packed with dancing people all all species.

"This is the life no?" she asked pointing to the stage where people were taking turns beating on the drums, neon paint splashing on their bodies from the tops of the drums where paint was slowly dripping to add to the scene.  "I love this place!" she added her toes curling against the hard earth underneath them, "A small tribe of Togruta's run it!"

Ken dismounted the bike and hung his helmet on one of the handlebars. He shook his head, disappointed in the Togruta's driving skill.

"Come on, Ken, don't just stand there!" Fayeena called from the entrance.

She's got no idea how to drive that thing, Ken thought as he followed her inside. I'll give her a good scare on the way back...

He stepped inside and found a scene offensive to all his senses. The deafening, amelodic noise attacked his ears, the garish colors and bizarre species offended his eyes, and the smell of sweat and various other unpleasant odors assaulted his nose. He quickly decided that this was not a place he wanted to be. He had few options, though, and decided to make the best of a bad situation.

"This is the life, no?" Fayeena said. "I love this place! A small tribe of Togrutas run it!"

"That doesn't surprise me a bit," Ken replied. "Which way's the bar?"

"Ooh, gonna buy me a drink, huh?" she said with a wink. "Follow me!"

Fayeena grabbed Ken's hand and dragged him to the bar, where an Ithorian tended the bar. Ken heaved a sigh of relief. Ithorians were one of the species he'd dealt with on Corulag, and every single one he met was very, very polite. He expected this bartender would be a breath of fresh air compared to Fay. Fay sat at the bar while Ken sat two stools away. The bartender stepped toward Fay and spoke.

"Good evening, miss," he said in his species' unusual accent. "What can I get for you?"

Ken smiled, glad that this hammerhead appeared to be as deferential as those he'd known back home. His smile immediately disappeared when he heard Fay order two expensive drinks, claiming he would pay for them. Ken slapped the bar loudly enough to catch the bartender's attention.

"No way!" he exclaimed. "She can buy her own drinks!"

"Yes, sir, I understand perfectly," the Ithorian said with a nod. He turned back to Fayeena, who then made a more reasonably-priced order. As the bartender filled a glass for her, she turned to Ken and gave him a pout that would drive an alien-lover to beg forgiveness. Fortunately, Ken was thoroughly immune to her charms. She turned back as her drink was planted before her and the Ithorian came to take Ken's order.

"Good evening, sir. What can I get for you?"

"You know how to make a Thought Bomb?" Ken asked.

"Certainly, sir. Just one moment, please."

The bartender mixed Ken's drink in no time and placed the glass on the bar in front of him.

"That will be eight credits, please."

Ken nodded and dug out his credit chip, handing it off to the bartender. He glanced over at Fay, who was already engaged in conversation with another Togruta, probably one of the tribe that ran the place. Ken groaned, suspecting that they were collaborating to make this night even worse.

"What are you doing here," A Togruta hissed sitting next to Fayeena, instantly Fayeena's body stiffened knowing that tone, "People like you should be here."

"I have every right to be here," she mumbled into her drink.

"Not only are you here outcast, you bring a human with you, what are you a human lover too.  Want to add more insult to our species?" the Togruta added.

"Listen I came here with a friend to dance, drink and play the drums, you can't tell me where I can and can't go," Fayeena hissed her eyes narrowing at the Togruta.

"How does it feel anyway?  Being shunned from your tribe, being worthless," the Torguta grinned.

Fayeena's hands balled up into fists, she glanced over at Ken, grinding her teeth.  She wanted to fight with this Togruta, but couldn't risk getting Ken hurt or in trouble, "Forget it, you're not worth it," she said casually letting the angry rush out of her.  She got up from her chair and turned to head up to the drums.

"Don't turn your back on me tribeless!" the Togruta yelled grabbing Fayeena by the shoulder and spinning her around, before she could block or dodge the Togruta's fist contacted with her lip, scrapping the inside against her teeth.

"What's wrong you're not going to fight me, what about your human mate there?  Too afraid?" the Togruta laughed.

"Come on Ken, lets go," Fayeena hissed grabbing Ken by the arm and dragging him out of the club.  Once by the speeder Fayeena spat a mouthful of red blood onto the ground.  She then let out a fustrated yell of anger and punched the wall.

"Smart going there," Ken commented as Fayeena shook her fist, "So what happened trouble at home?"

"Hardly," Fayeena murmured darkly, "Just another Togruta who thought he was better then me because he was still in a tribe."

"Tribe?"

"We Togruta live in a tribe society where the strong survive and the weak are left to fend for themselves," Fayeena said leaning against the speeder and sighing, "Ken, what's the first thing you notice about Togruta?"

"Other then...well never minds, probably your headworms and horns," Ken said shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Exactly, the gods played a cruel trick on me and my head tails and montrals never grew, my tribe deemed me as weak and cased me out with stones and sticks.  I wasn't as weak as they though though, I survived on my own and here I am," she said smiling her pointed teeth stained with blood, "But I'm less then nothing to other Togruta, tribe is everything, we are one, and one different could kill the tribe."

"Barbaric, even fore aliens," Ken commented.

"Yeah, we're pretty messed up, least with humans you have pity and compassion," Fayeena said rubbing her hand again, "That's why I like you Ken, I know you hate me for being an alien, for being different, you don't hide it well, but you do.  At least I know where you stand, anyway lets go home, I guess I won't get to play the drums tonight."

"You're not going to cry are you?" Ken asked raising an eyebrow.

"Nah, I don't cry anymore about that stuff, what's the point?"

Ken stood outside the club with Fayeena, trying to decide what to do. He knew Fayeena just wanted to put the incident behind her and leave, but Ken wanted to settle the score. Fayeena may be an alien, but even a mascot demands a certain amount of respect. That Togruta 'man' had insulted his entire squad, and that was unacceptable.

"We can't leave yet," Ken declared. "I need to settle the score here."

Fay grabbed Ken's arm and shook her head. "It's a mob in there! Don't be stupid!"

Ken raised his arm reassuringly. "Relax. I'm not gonna start a brawl. Stay by the speeder and wait for me. I'll be back out here in no time."

"You don't understand! You can't fight him one-on-one. Togrutas just don't fight that way. If you hit him, you'll wind up fighting four or five."

Ken looked out of the alley toward the street. He clenched his fists, supremely unhappy being stuck between a rock and a hard place. He trusted that Fay was telling him the truth, and had to admit that, no matter what other advantages he had, he would never win a fight against five Togrutas. Considering how much aliens care for law and order, they would probably murder him, too. All was not lost, however. Perhaps he could get the rest of the squad to come down with him and pound that leghead into the pavement. In any case, a nice relaxing drive at breakneck speed would take his mind off the indignity.

"Who am I to argue? You know Togrutas better than I do. Let's get outta here."

Ken fished the speeder key from his pocket and jumped in the driver's seat this time, to Fay's mild chagrin.

"Hold on tight," Ken advised. "I'm gonna show you how we drive speeders on Corulag."

With a quick check around the alley, Ken drove the bike carefully out onto the street. Once there, he went for broke. Ken concentrated on speed for now, since he wasn't back in familiar territory yet. He streaked past sluggish landspeeders, diving through gaps in traffic with droid-like precision. Ken could easily boost the repulsor power and float straight over the rest of the traffic, but was having too much fun showing off.

When Ken returned to the familiar roads closer to the barracks, he decided that he'd show off the bike's maneuverability. He let off the throttle as he approached an intersection, then leaned hard over and made an extremely tight left turn. He followed it with a hard right, laughing as Fayeena held on for dear life.

He coasted as he approached the base's main gate, reaching his left hand back to take Fayeena's ID. He handed both cards off to the gate guard, who spent a lot more time examining Fay than Ken before handing their cards back and waving them in.

As he drove the bike into the base and headed for the barracks, Ken called back to Fay.

"Enjoy the ride?"

"That was...so cool!" Fayeena said her eyes light and wide with excitement as she hopped off the speeder.  She stumbled a little, Ken catching her and steadying her.  "Thanks," she said, 'Look my hands are shaking, I was so scared going that fast, but it was so fun!" she said practically dancing, "We have to go out more just for you to drive."

"You like scaring yourself don't you?" Ken asked his lips twitching in an almost smile.

"I'm in the army what do you think, I'm addicted to the rush!" Fayeena giggled before crossing her arms looking at Ken, "You almost smiled!"

"No I didn't," Ken denied.

"Yes you did, keep that up and I might think you enjoy my company," Fayeena said winking at Ken and then grabbing his arm, "I wanna show you something, but you have to swear not to say anything to anyone," she said not waiting for Ken to reply and dragging him to the bike garage.

"This isn't some sort of alien trap where you kill me?" Ken asked with raised eyebrows.

"Nah, you're in luck its just seduction so I can have your babies," Fayeena said rolling her eyes.

"Seriously?" Ken asked his eye narrowing in suspicion.

"You wish, but no, you're not my type anyway, I like more alien friendly guys," Fayeena chuckled opening the door to the garage and heading over to a small room.  She pulled a key out of her pocket and unlocked the deadbolt to the door and walked inside, "Well come on, don't be a wimp."

Ken walked into the room only to be faced by a big object covered in a sheet, "What is that, and why am I swearing to secrecy?"

"Because I don't want to be embaressed if I can't get this up and running," Fayeena said pulling back the sheet revealing an antique speeder, "The frame is good, I'm rebuilding the engine so its just as fast or faster then modern speeders.  It needs a paint job of course, but the work has been slow."

"Money?"

"Nah I have enough of that,  just like bumming drinks off of people.  Mostly cause of training, missions, etc etc," Fayeena murmured patting the speeder affectionately, "Not only that this thing is wired competely differently then the modern day ones, so I have to figure it out as I go."

"May I?" Ken asked and Fayeena nodded letting him examine the bike, "Not bad, I see you got a little creative with it, but I've seen worst."

"Wow the great Ken almost gave me a compliment, end of days!"

"Quiet you," Ken grimaced.

Fayeena let out a yawn, "Well I'm gonna get to bed," she said as they walked out of the room and she locked it up, "Thanks for the not so great, but surprisingly not your fault time," she said turning suddenly and kissing Ken's forehead, "You can furiously scrub your face now," she added with a chuckle as Ken did so, "Nite!" she shouted to Ken as she bounded away towards the barracks.
