Hello, I'm General Cosmic, Commander of Training of the Stormtrooper Corps.
Let's get it straight for our current members as well: we do not "play Vast Empire" :P
The Vast Empire is NOT A GAME, so let's stop trying to make it sound like one.
The Vast Empire is a Star Wars forum-based role playing club/organization. We are NOT a private server of any kind for any game.First off, as a rule of thumb, try to post as properly/grammatically correct as you can. Posting with a bunch of exclamation marks or question marks will make you look "immature" and foolish - and you'll probably be treated as such. (Just a general hint)
How our club works is simple: we are a forum-based role playing club, so basically 99.99% of our activities revolve around fan-fiction of some kind. You participate by completing Basic Training (and that's by working with your Drill Instructor). You should have received an email about what you need to do (Biography Outline). If you haven't, let me know and I'll set you up again.
Making money is simple, and it comes in different forms:
1) Monthly pay checks - as a soldier of the Vast Empire, you receive a monthly pay check based on your current rank and position within this club. As your rank/position increases, so will your monthly pay.
2) Pay Per Click - this is probably the quickest way of receiving ICs. If you go to the domain (www.vastempire.com) and click on Pay Per Click under the General heading/category, you can click on the "Vote For Us" buttons and vote for the Vast Empire on the Top 100 Sites listings. Your votes help us increase our club's rank - the higher the rank, the more people will see us and potentially join.
3) Stocks - stocks are quite simple too. There are two forms of stocks:
1) Stocks that require 0-holding days: these are the kind that you can just buy and sell right away. There's no holding period.
2) Stocks that require x-amount of days prior to selling: other stocks require perhaps a 90-day holding period before you can sell them.
That's basically it for stocks: you buy them, wait until your returns are greater than your initial investments (in other words, you want to see nice shiny green text and not red text), and then sell the stocks when the current cost of the stock is more than when you initially bought it for. That's basically how it is for a real stock market as well (in blatant terms).
4) There is "fighting", but perhaps not in the terms you're thinking of. We do not have a "3d environment" for you to play your character and run around on the screen. Basically all of our activities revolve around stories, so it's all writing and the "world" you're playing in is basically your imagination (which I like better).
Anywho, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask or email me (
