Let us all pray the rest of those people will be rescued and they will get those scums! My prayers go to the victim's and their families. Situation update: President Bush is in an underground bunker in Omaha, NE. The nation is at Threat Status Charlie. New York is at Threat Status Delta. Two warships (a missile destroyer and a cruiser-class warship or better) are in the New York harbor to protect it. Fighter jets are cutting through the sky. All bogies now accounted for. Current death toll (as of 4:22 EDT): 289. At least 2250 wounded (as of 4:22 EDT). Part of the Pentagon is destroyed, both towers collapsed. The need for blood is EXTREMELY HIGH (if you are eligible to donate, please do so). All airports in the US closed indefinitely. All airports in Canada are also closed. All flights from the UK to US and from Germany to US and France to US canceled. No flights will be going over Central England. Bush promises that we will hunt down those responsible and punish them. Most/all Massachusetts Guard Units put on alert, many being sent to help with search and rescue efforts.

First off, as I know some of you are aware I live near NYC, I should like to let you all know that I and my family are all ok AFAIK. My mother may be stuck in the city for now, but that's better than she being dead or seriously injured. I live in NJ, very near NYC. I was at school and could not believe what I saw on the school TV as I came outside from breakfast. This is an unbelievable tragedy, and when I find out who is responsible, by God, I will sign the papers allowing me to shoot them legally.  I have been debating taking a short leave of absence to try and get my self calm. However, I will not be doing so.  I must, however, ask that everyone bear with me if I take a little longer than usual to respond to inquiries. Thank you

Well, I may not be religious, but I still extend my sympathies to the victims and their families in the plane crashes. Also, I've got a more recent update than Tychs(they let us watch the news in school). Both WT Towers have collapsed, over 20,000 are officially dead. The Army Division of the Pentagon was destroyed(light casualtys cause it was being renovated at the time). Another plane crashed into a Pennsylvania forest, apparently, its intended target was Camp David. Arafat and the Taliban have already condemned the attack(not that that means anything...), and the Taliban has said that Bin Laden couldn't have done it. A Palestinian terrorist group claimed responsibility within a half hour of the attack, then denied it ten minutes later(coincidence?). Islamic nuts are dancing in the streets all around the middle east. A fifth hijacked plane is still assumed missing. SGT MAJ Argon Viper

We've also witnessed something 'Historical'.  I mean, all of us, old and young, have been in a situation where the United States was first attacked by Terrorists. We are living in a today that will someday be in history books that the younger generation of the future will someday read about...we will have the sweet sorrow honor of letting them know that "I was there. I watched the news of the horrible crisis of Terrorists.  I know how people felt...I was there.."

I agree with all of you...Hope that your cousin, War woman, is in safety and alive. Hope that for so many people....my girl friend got an aunt who worked in the World Trade Center....Very low chance she is still with us
