I was wondering is there any difference in IRC Java Chat and mIRC. Is mIRC something you just download or something?

mIRC is a client one may download and connect to IRC servers without having to use a web browser based client.

How do you download it? I was thinking it was just something you downloaded, I just don't know how though.

mIRC is downloadable at www.mirc.com. There is then a IRC tutorial on the main page you can look at (or pop on JavaChat, I'm sure someone will be able to help you set it up).
