I'm not sure I really understand what you are talking about. Where are you clicking on a topic from?

If so, it does not list out the "RE: " subjects for the new messages that were just posted....and if you just clicked on the topic name, it would take you to the beginning of the topic.
If you were clicking on the 'Go to first unread post' image next to the topic name, that will take you to the first post that you haven't read. Once you view the last page of the topic, it will mark all the posts read up to the last message that was posted.
So basically if you haven't read a topic for awhile, it's possible you might not go to the last page by clicking on that link.
If that's not what you are doing, then you'll have to give me some more details.
