The Dark Jedi all checked their pockets and belts for their lightsabers and they were all prepared. "Ok guys, lets go."said Japer All of the Dark Jedi got in their ship and Paan got into the pilots chair. The other Dark Jedi went around looking for a place to claim as their room. Japer had instruced them to consertrait on their obejectives and practice with their sabers, but Japer himself was told to instruct the two trainies on how to use the force in better ways. Cosmic looked towards the main window in the front of the craft and saw the stars all streaked out in space. No longer just little dots, but long thing lines that speed by. Cosmic had just entered the Vast Empire Dark Jedi Division, he felt that he had something, but couldn't pinpointed it himself. He knew that it probably was the Force but was very unsure. His first mission as a Dark Jedi Trainee was going to be a very exciting one for him... Cosmic felt that he would do well on this mission, he had formaly been training in the Martial Arts, and was trained by several masters. He was very good with his Martial Arts abilities...sure of himself. He knew that this would come in handy for him someday in the VEDJ. Journeyman Tylen Jaap had been in the VEDJ for at least a month or more. Cosmic knew that he could also learn a few tips from this comrade. Japer walked towards the both of them. "I am going to help instruct you in the ways of the Force. Tylen Jaap knows a little bit more than you do, Cosmic, but I know you'll do fine. I will help you understand what you are feeling...and eventually you'll be able to control them. One of our mission goals is to get as much information on their communications logs and computers. Paan was recrowned Headmaster and took a temporary demotion to Sith Apprentice, but was still at master level. Paan looked at Cosmic, and saw the raw force power in him. Cosmic spoke up. "Master, I wonder how you got to where you are." said the younger Jedi. Paan smiled at Cosmic "Cosmic, I won't lie to you. Traning to become a Jedi, Dark or otherwise, is not an easy challenge. It takes the deepest committment and the utmost discipline. Don't worry about how I got to where I am. Worry about how you'll get there and you'll do fine" Paan replied. Jaap nodded to Cosmic as Paan finished talking. But all of a sudden Japer got a call on his comnet. "Excuse me Cosmic, I have to answer this contact on my comnet, keep practing at throwing this ball at that target, concentrate on hitting above the center and you have a better chance at hitting the red dot."said Japer "Ok, thanks for helping me, I hope that I'm not to much trouble."said Cosmic "Thats ok"said Japer Japer walked out of the room and steped near the gunner turret and answered his call. "Japer, this is Kadann, Cosmic will not be allowed to go on this mission."said Kadann "Why is this? Cosmic is doing so good."asked Japer "He is uninitated, we will be sending a shuttle to pick him up, stop where you are, when he begins his path into the Dark Side."said Kadann "Yes Master, I will tell him."said Japer They both shut off their comnets and Japer went to the room he was training Cosmic in and told him to stop practing for a while. "Whats the madder Japer?"asked Cosmic "You are being removed from this mission. You are not able to use the force that well because that you are still uninated, you will be placed back with us when you start your path down the Dark Side."said Japer Just as Japer finished, they both heard Cosmic's shuttle arrive in the docking bay and Cosmic sinlenty walked away and Japer walked with him to the shuttle and watched the one of the best keys to success walk away right before his eyes. Japer knew it is going to be alot harder of a mission now... "Attention all dark jedi, our ETA for exiting hyperspace will be three days, and two hours, so I recomend that for those last few days that you rest up and practice with the force because you will need it on our mission."said Paan Japer thought that tormow he would get his sleep and keep practing hard tonight, he concentrated mainly on the basics, like pull, throw and running. He had always heard that the Dark Side was anger and therefore anyone who uses it must have anger in him. Somehow these "Light Jedi" used the Dark Side without falling to it. Talon thought that the only way to explain such a thing is Dark Jedi dressed in the traditional Jedi Robes in an attempt to fool Light Jedi and Dark Jedi alike. Seeing as most Dark Jedi would attack each other without caring if the other was Light or Dark, the robes meant nothing to that group, but to the Light Jedi, it could at least prove to be a visual trick. After failing to find a better answer for some time, Talon woke from his trance to see Paan in the pilot chair, seemingly asleep. He had just been chosen as an apprentice to the powerful Dark Jedi. Talon would soon fight side-by-side with him with whatever faced them on the other end of this long hyperspace jump. The shuttle wasn't too bad as far as comfort goes, but this has been a long trip. The datapad in his hands outlined the planet they would be on in their mission: -=[ Sumirta Sector - Flax - Page 3 of 4 ]=- Flax - located in the Ptera System of the Sumitra Sector, Flax is home to the Flakax race of insectiods. It is tectonically active, and is covered alternately by oceans, incredibly-tall mountain ranges, and deserts. The Flakax live underground in hives. The planet was overrun by the Empire, and the Flakax were enslaved and used to mine ores from the planet's crust. -=[ Imperial Technologies Inc. Datapad ]=- Some pictures and town names were included in the information as well. It looked like the perfect place for someone who didn't want any attention. Luckily, the intel report that the Dark Jedi Order had been given pinpointed the location of the bunker that their targets are in. If these people were able to overpower Atrus and Ghent, then it is likely they too, are Jedi." Paan said, confidently. Paan was beginning to show signs of the power he'd always had. Talon too,however, was beginning to eclipse most of his peers. It was only a mere matter of time, before they would lead the group straight into battle and win. Be careful guys, the pirates could have invaded the transport and be waiting for us. I suggest we all be careful here." Paan watched as his fellow Jedi climbed down into the medium transport and then climbed down himself. Paan is my wingman, so start picking."comanded Japer minute later... Japer and his squadron have all gotten in there sith figters and disinbark from the transport. "As you all leave the hanger you must take cicular formation. Then wait for further orders."said Japer Japer watched as his squadron leaves the hanger one by one and takes the formation of one of the most jagged circles he had ever seen in his life. "Ok everyone, we are going to patrol around the planet looking for any ships or stations at all, if you see one, we will all move in to inspect it, if it contains pirates, we will attack."said Japer The squadron started patroling the planet of Flax, looked like a normal everyday planet, Japer's brother, Gadboa, was the senotor for Flax when the Empire started colonizing it, he was the one who passed the bill that gave a portion of the planet to the native aliens, he coulndn't think of the name of there race of hand, Flaxiens or something like that. All of a sudden Talon spoted somehting moving out of the corner of his eye. Talon adjusted his grip on the flight stick.  He was glad he had brought a TIE Advanced from the VSD-II Griffen with him.  The thought of flying anything less didn't strike him as too fun.  The fighter that he went after was nowhere to be found... odd.  Talon about jumped out of his flight harness when he glanced at his rear scope.  There were many different types of ships, none matching the Dark Jedi's ships, back where he had just been. -= Back in Japer's Sith Fighter =- "Frak, frak, frak, fra.."  A blast from the side cut off his string of curses.  The R-41 did not want anyone but Japer, it seemed.  It was indeed heavily modified and could keep pace quite easily with Japer's Sith Fighter.  Another laser knicked his aft shields and dropped them to 45% but they held.  A split second later, Japer could hear Paan's voice over the radio, "Your six is clear.  Watch it next time, eh?" -= Talon's TIE Advanced =- So far, only one X-Wing broke off to attack Talon, which quickly fell in on his tail and never left.  Talon tried everything he knew and still couldn't figure out how to get this pesky fighter off of his back.  A smirk formed on Talon's face as he nudged the pilot's eject button with the Force and watched in his rear window as the pilot floated farther and farther away from his still speeding spacecraft.

Follow it at least 3 km behind him so that we can not draw much suspition."said Japer All of the fighters took back into their formation started following the small fighter. Once they got the report that he had entered the hanger, they all increased speed and flew to the station. "Ok everyone, we are about there. Now, when we dock, we are merchant escorts that were driven off by a pirate attack and we need to repair our ships here. They will most likley offer us a room of some sort, take it but be wary. Everyone but Talon and I will go to the room. Talon and I will search around the station and try and find those special Jedi. If we need you we will contact you via force."said Japer "Attetion all ships please identify yourselfs"said the voice

As Paan stepped into the corridor outside the room, the force tremor he had been feeling became magnified. Instinctively, the young Dark Jedi warrior ignited a single dark green blade of his lightstaff. "Japer, Talon, look out!" said Paan as a rogue Jedi warrior came running at them. Talon ducked, but Japer suffered a hit in his side. The cut began to smolder, but Japer was able to heal it to a managable degree. All of the other warriors ignited their sabers and began to fight. Whoever these guys are, thought Paan, they were trained by someone good. Paan began to remember what Atrus told him about fighting.  If this was what his sense of these force termors had meant, then this would be Paan's ultimate battle. A fight against not only the killers of his greatest teacher, but against Paan's own inner demons. The last challenge he would face before pleading to the council to take the Master trials again. Paan looked over at Japer and the rest of the team, and then joined the fight. It was time to avenge Atrus.

As Talon was fighting the jedi with the strange lightsaber, Japer was attacked from behind by a jedi with a gold saber. He stared at Japer just like the one with the white saber stared at Talon. He just came at him strong with a gold saber and Japer was barley able to ignite his saber to block him before he was struck. Japer made a huge jump and got behind him and swiped with some quick attacks but they were quickly and eaisly blocked by the strange jedi. Then the gold jedi just stood there, and looked at Japer. Japer could sense that there was something he just wasnt picking up about this strange jedi, but what. Then Talon let out a strong yell of success. He knocked the saber right out of the other jedi's hand. Talon ran straight at him and prepared to strike but all of a sudden the jedi dissapered and Talon ran into the wall. Then Japer turned around and found that the jedi he was fighting had also disaperad. "I can tell that these are most likeley the ones who planned the attack on Atrus and Ghen."said Japer "No, they are most likley here, and these are DEFINETLY students of them, but they are not them. The messages that Kadann intercepted where much more advanced jedi than these.Lets keep looking for some weak jedi's. Maby we can, convince them to tell us where these jedi's  are."said Talon "Well, lets keep going"said Japer

The younger and less powerful Jedi led the team through a series of hallways. Eventually they came to a great room that seemed to be some kind of throne room. The man sitting on the throne looked remarkably like Jerec, though he could see, and did not have the tattoos on his head and arms. This man also had a full head of medium length hair. He introduced himself in a menacing tone. "Greetings, fellow dark brothers. I am Lord Alchamir. It was I who killed Atrus, and his uncle Ghent.  You will find destroying me in his honor will not be easy. You will have to fight my legion of Jedi Guards before you have a chance to fight me. I suggest you be careful in choosing which one of you gets that honor."  The man then pointed towards the Jedi who led the team to the room, lifting him in the air with the force. "As for you, you will be a demonstration for what punishment I give to those who betray me. DIE!" he said crushing the man's neck with a immensely powerful force grip. Paan echoed through the force to his team so that Alchamir could not hear it. "Guys, Alchamir is a Dark Jedi Master almost as powerful as Kadann, his guards are all my rank, Sith Apprentice, and the captain of the guard is a Sith Master. Use caution, and be cunning. May the force be with us." said Paan

    Talon's black blades reflected off of the walls in no color in particular.  The effect always seemed to be weird to him.  The fighting that had been going on was making him drenched in sweat.  Another guard lined up on Talon.  These warriors weren't as good as they seemed at first.  They may put on a good show, but they did not bring much to the table.  Talon sighed and brought both saber points together, making an X and blocked the shimmering orange blade, pinning it to the floor which seemed to be impervious to saber strikes.  Using the Force to shove his opponent, Talon held the saber to the ground, disarming the man.  A quick jumping slash made him a threat no longer.  The saber diactivated behind Talon a moment later.     Glancing over, Talon noticed Master Paan suspended in the air by the Dark Jedi Master Alchamir.  He seemed to be toying with Paan.. Testing not only his skill but his patience.     Talon sidestepped just in time to watch a dark red saber blade fly past his face and hit the ground in front of him.  He had not been paying much attention to the fight around him and was lucky he was still alive.  Talon rocked back and kicked the attacker in the ribs very hard, doubling him over for a moment.  Talon launched an attack to the man's exposed head, but he recovered in time to block.  He returned a blow, but to Talon's shins, which he hopped and returned a strike to the man's midsection.  As soon as the red blade clashed with his black blade, Talon brought the other around and sliced the Dark Jedi's head off.     Looking to his left, Talon saw Japer struggling with a Dark Jedi.  His previous wound was hindering him and he was quickly being overwhelmed.  Talon stretched out with the Force and gave him a quick boost of strength.  After a moment of confusion, Japer took this sudden burst of strength to his advantage and sliced his opponent across the chest.

Rage poured through Talon like the blood that was hammering its way through his heart.  As Talon advanced on Alchamir a scream could be heard coming from his mouth that sounded more like a Massassi doing a death charge on an attacker than a human.  The thought of losing another Master to this man was too much for Talon.  Without even hesitating, Talon swung his sabers with all of his might.  The Dark Jedi Master seemed surprised, but blocked and countered all of Talon's shot with skill.  One attack came very close to Talon's head, but it was batted away with his left saber. The fighting was coming to an end and some Dark Jedi had the chance to watch Talon and Alchamir's duel.  Dead Jedi were strewn all over the floors of the temple, each with a cauterized gash.  Some were cheering for Talon, others just watched in silence as the two traded blows. Talon could hear nothing but his own breathing and the hums and clashes of the sabers.  He had never hated a human or otherwise as much as he hated the man that stood before him.  He had killed two Masters and one friend.  A slight cackle turned into a roaring laugh as Alchamir chose to just block Talon's attacks.  The laughing stopped and Alchamir said "I had no idea that Ghen was in the shuttle as well. I figured that the leader of two divisions was enough, but a High Colonel is an added bonus.  Now I have a Headmaster to add to the list." with a twisted smile, showing his sharp teeth.  Alchamir swung down toward Talon's head with all his might, forcing Talon to cross them just to hold the saber back.  Alchamir shoved back even harder, opening Talon's defenses.  Using this hole, Alchamir put the back end of his saber into Talon's right shoulder, rendering the entire arm useless and making Talon go into shock. His two sabers lay next to him, still burning.  Talon echoed through the Force, I'm sorry Atrus.. I've failed you, friend.  The world seemed to slip away and Talon felt like he was floating through the air.  The Dark Side of the Force was thick as mud here.. wherever "here" is. Talon felt a calmness fall over him and a deep, quiet voice said, Get up Talon.  You have to fight Alchamir.  You can defeat him if you let your hate for him flow through you. Talon could tell who the voice was without a doubt.  Atrus was trying to get Talon to finish Alchamir.  "Master," Talon said, "I tried.. I failed.  He's too strong.  I'm just a Krath Priest and he's a Dark Jedi Master." Atrus's voice still stayed calm as he said, You have the power to kill him.  Use the hate that I see inside you.  You have a more powerful weapon than he could ever wield.  Now go! Talon's eyes came back into focus and he was back in the chamber of Dark Lord Alchamir.  The man stood over Talon and roared in laughter, daring any other Dark Jedi to face him.  Talon slowly got to his feet and raised the only saber he could, his left.  Good thing he was left handed.  Talon drew in on the power of the Force and launched an all out attack on Alchamir.  His speed amazed even himself as well as the power behind the blows.  Alchamir seemed to have a hard time blocking this onslaught.  He tried falling back on the Force to constrict Talon's throat, but Talon countered its effects with ease.  The power of many Dark Jedi was with Talon in this fight.. he could feel it.  Talon attacked high, then low, then low again, only to come back to the midsection.  Talon drew back and struck Alchamir's saber with all of his might.  The saber broke out of Alchamir's hands and spun away, shutting itself off before it hit the ground.  Alchamir stared in surprise.  He knew he was finished. Talon brough the point of the saber to Alchamir's throat and growled, "Beg Atrus's forgiveness." Talon nodded and then shook his head, as if to clear it.  He was still exausted from the fight and his injury was making him want to pass out.  Drawing in on the Force for strength and healing, Talon headed down the first pathway he found. Paan called after him, "Talon, this way to the turrets." Talon grunted and shuffled back to where Paan was.  They weren't out of this yet, and even if the Deathscythe's weapons were as strong as Paan had bosted, this was going to be a heck of a fight just to get out of the system. The chair sprung back under Talon's weight, almost vaulting him out of it because he had jumped into it.  The turret seemed to be new.. or at least kept in great condition.  Four barrels poked out of the transparasteel opening in the side of the ship.  Talon strapped in and powered up the controls as well as the radar.  He also put on a headset that linked him to the intercom for the ship.  "I'm in." called Talon as he tested the reaction of the seat turret.  The control was stiff, but very easy to aim.  "This is going to be fun." Talon thought to himself as he watched ships come into range.

Talon brought the target over another ship and watched as it was ripped appart by the quad lasers.  Adjusting the radar, Talon said, "Paan, I'm picking up a lot of fighters coming in fast.  Range is 75 and closing..  Kinda far out, but they won't be for long." Paan's voice came through the speaker in Talon's ear, "Copy that.  Stay sharp." A single Y-Wing slowly floated by Talon's vision.  It had been hit hard, but it still seemed to have weapons functional.  Talon pumped bolts of plasma into the hull of the flying turtle, reducing it to space dust.  Pain burned through his shoulder once again.  Talon tried to focus and beat the pain, but he could not do it.  There was nothing from stopping him from passing out this time.  Before he did, Talon reached out through the Force and called Paan's name.  Talon went limp in his seat. Paan tried to jump out of his seat, but was thrown back into it by the harness.  Cursing, Paan unbuckled it and ran to the turret on the other side of the ship.  There he saw Talon slouched down in the turret's chair.  Paan put his hand over Talon's wound and let the Force flow between the two Dark Jedi.  The room seemed to glow a light green color for a few seconds, before dying back down to normal.  Talon's eyes fluttered open and Paan stepped back.  "Stop slacking off and shoot down some ships."  Paan said with a smile. Talon smiled back and nodded.  The burn hole was still in his tunic, but the skin below it was normal.  It didn't hurt anymore either.  Paan headed back to his turret and Talon gripped the handles on his.  Three X-Wings flew by his crosshairs and Talon let them have all four barrels, destroying two and taking most of the shields off of another.  Paan would finish them both when them came around to his side.

Japer was on the bridge with Ori when he got a message from the space station. "Hahahahahaha"said a strange voice "Who is this?"asked Japer "Hahahahahahaha" "Im gonna check to see where this thing is coming from, OH SH**!!!!!!! Ori, watch yourself up here, I am going to go talk to Talon" " Ok, be carful Japer started running full speed to the turret where Talon was despretly fighting when he was thrown hard against the wall. A torpedo must have hit the ship. He had to tell Talon what was happeining before it was to late. He rushed down to the turret but before he could get to the turret he was getting another message on his comnet. "It is over. Resistance is futile"said the voice "What do you mean?"asked Japer But then the message was over. Japer was still running and nearing the turret when the ship got hit with another torpedo. This one wasn't as bad as the others but still, it hurt. Japer was just able to get to the turret to explain to Paan what was going on. "Paan! Tell Talon to conentrat your firepower on that fighter over there! It is where all of those torpedos are coming from" said Japer "Thats imposible, its too small and far away to get those over here!"said Paan "Its a illusion! Its really a captial ship of some kind, im not sure what. Both of you, attack those, just trust me. I'm gonna start trying to repair some of this damage to your ship."said Japer "Ok, I guess you know what your doing."said Paan "Talon, see that fighter patroling the permiter over there? Good, target all fire on that. Just do it, its my ship."said Paan As soon as the first beam hit the fighter, a huge Corellion Corvet appeared. Paan was shocked while Japer, who was fixing a mass jumble of wires just grinned and become very pleased of himself.

"Hey Jap, hows that wound doing?"asked Paan "Ok I guess, its still hurts pretty bad though."said Japer "Here's some more bacta, we are gonna get back to base pretty soon so that they can give you some better healing."said Paan "I can't wait till I grow stronger in the force and am able to heal myself."said Japer "It will come in time"said Paan

Paan looked down at the Griffen from the COM chair of the Deathscythe. He shook his head and turned to his wife. "By Palpatine that's a big ship, Ori." said Paan "Not so big as her captain, my dear. Talon is a very capable leader, don't you think?" Ori asked, smiling. "Yes, yes he is. I think he's ready to face the trials again." Paan smiled as he took one last look at the Griffen before she drydocked.
