The Galactic Empire is dead and only Imperial factions remain - renmants of the Empire scattered about the galaxy. For many years (and perhaps since the initial establishment of the Vast Empire), the VE has used the classic Imperial logo as it's insignia during competitions, stories, etc.:



We are not the Galactic Empire - we are the Vast Empire, and we should have our own mark of pride. So, I bring before you four emblem/insignia prototypes that all of the VE can vote on to decide which one will become the official VE Insignia.

For the insignias that didn't "win", we may be able to use these as insignia's to represent the divisions of the VE. I can tell you right now that if the first insignia prototype isn't chosen, it's the new STC Academy insignia.

Refer to them as numbers from 1 to 4, so they will be in this order:

I personally think that 2 looks more like a Navy/DJO design, and that 3 definately looks Army :P 4 looks more like the VEEC for some reason.

In all honesty, the complexity makes it hard to draw, customize, and add to images. The GE emblem can at least be created from scratch.

That said, I'd like to ask if maybe:
1. We can input our own designs.
2. Maybe we can vote on certain aspects of it.

otherwise...I'll go with the bottom one.

Responding to the "hard to draw/complexity/hard to add to images" comment, I'm not really understanding why they'd be difficult to do those tasks.

These are made in PhotoShop, so I have the layered versions. What I'll be doing, once one gets voted on, is probably have prototypes without the shadows so it'd be easy to cut certain colors out.

By looking at these, which do you think is better? If the vote drastically changes, I'll have Kad reset the poll, and you can all vote again.

My opinion, 2 is the best looking one for multiple background colors.

Most definitely number one of the four in the first post.

Number three looks too...well, cliched and amateurish.

Number two is just a bit much, and honestly, number four doesn't do it for me.

Now, of the ones in Cosmic's most recent post, the first one in either black or a dark blue would do nicely.

Numero uno. The original logo was simple and too the point, and I think #1 adds on that really well while still keeping the same spirit.
