First off I'd like to thank everyone for being patient and giving us a great week: I've really enjoyed watching you become active and grow stronger as teams. For such excellence, I'm going to create a bit of a review and introduce some new material to you folks.
Promotions and Awards
First off I'd like to congratulate everyone on their promotions. For those who didn't hear, Raigen was promoted from SCRW to PO2, Cyleaf from CPO to WO2, and Dredj from LCRW to SCRW. As far as your commanders and I are concerned, they're late and you have certainly earned them. We hate to look like we're just promoting people everywhere, but a lot of these are long over due and we need to catch up a bit.
Also, last Sunday, Arturus promoted Tokijin a single position, so congratulations to her.
This week we had two new recruits come through our system, Evil_Clown, who passed her aviator's with distinction and was promoted to the rank of SCRW, and Xena Warmare, who also passed her aviators and was promoted to the rank of LCRW. You'll note that both of them completed Basic Training in under five days, so, I hereby reward them with the Star of the Academy [SoA].
Lastly, for their contributions on the creation of our Naval Skills System, Commander Arturus has received the Legion of Merit [LoM] and Raigen has received the the item: CompForce Armor. Lol- that sounds kind of bad, but really the contributions varried from a simple idea to a series of sessions that amassed hours of hashing and are only now coming to end. Also, I believe giving actual 'things' as opposed to promotions or medals every time is a good step in the right direction with rewards.
Positions and Skills
I'd just like to let everyone know that Jaden has stepped down from the Nazgul Commander position and Trevor Evenson has taken over. He will need to choose an XO fairly soon and let us know of any roster changes. Jaden has said that he'd like to stick around, but feels that his current real-life capacities simply do not allow him to participate at the level or with the same fervor as some other members. Thus, he and I will discuss what role he can continue to play in our organization, or atleast enjoy. This is yet another display of how we need to keep our commander's in check, though. Not to say Jaden is burned out, but there is a time and place when commander's want to move on and lose the 'want' to be in a squadron. For some it may never disappear, but that doesn't mean they can't be overworked. I'd like to possibly work out a way to alternate commanders over a period of time or further re-inforce our CoC. More on that later
Also, the Naval Skills System is pretty much complete, so expect to see some stuff from Art and myself very, very soon. Did I forget anything? Please, everyone update your profiles and wiki pages. Thankyou
