"All units! Get your ass in line, right now!" Shouted the commander."We have been have just received a distress signal from our reckon base on Ren-var! A Siege force of Mandalorian raiders has caught our reckon base off guard." "The attack occurred when the switching of the guard was happening." One soldier asked " What Intel do we have on the siege force?". "A good question" answered the commander. "From what the scanners show, they have amasses a good sized force". "They have about 15 light scouting vehicles and 4-or-5 stolen AT-T walkers." As well as 200 to 300 infantry men."

"Though they are not very organized they are extremely reckless and are not to be taken lightly." Another unit asked "How are the base defenses holding up and what are the casualties? The commander answered" Well, we aren't certain about the losses, from what they have told us about 3/7 of the units presently at the base have been wiped out, not to mention that about 1/7 of their forces were currently out on patrol when the attack began. The defenses are holding steadily but they won't last for long." So we need to get there ASAP!

"One last question!" Shouted a new recruit, "What is the mode of insertion?" "Well" said the commander "We were going to try a hot drop tactic using 7 or 8 Jadthu Landing craft". "Using their anti- personal turrets we can clear a safe landing zone for our troops."
"We will also use their anti-vehicular lasers to knockout any vehicles that engage our troops and vehicles." "You will hot drop from the Shadow-Star assault ship that is orbiting the planet, so suit up and report to your assigned ships!" "Everyone be careful and fight till your either dead or incapable of fighting, which is dead!"

DISMISSED!

Then the troops dispersed to the armories and weapon lockers. They dawned their snwotrooper gear and prepared for what was soon to be one of the bloodiest battles ever to take place on the surface of Ren-Var. Dredj contemplated what his unit would do when they touched-down. He and the other squad leaders had discussed multiple tactics but as they were well aware nothing went according to plan in war and that the Mandalorian raiders were going to fight like regular soldiers. So he prepared for the worst. He would continue to contemplate the matter further when the time came.
