I can see the logic behind your ideas, AlanRJ, and they're good because it shows that you're thinking and wanting to make this a better community. However, many^100 ideas have been proposed in the passed, and have either been denied or integrated into our system. Basically, most
general ideas concerning ComNet have already been established, have been removed from discussion, or are currently in development.
One of the primary reasons for keeping old posts is to use them as reference, as Sniping has mentioned above. They are there for looking back at old campaigns to verify information, etc., and just to kick back and laugh at how we (individually) used to do things.
You won't get "flamed" for posting on something that's over a month, two months, or even three months old, but the way it's looking and sounding, you are posting on topics that haven't been replied to in some
years. The only way to do that is to go back a page or two and then reply, which nobody does because even going back one page can get you back one year. If you're interested in a topic for dicussion, go ahead and post it in the Lounge ComNet. If there was already a topic on it, it would be revealed in that first page, not the second (because it'd be too old to raise from the dead).
