Ok here's some infromation I dug up.
SPEEDER BIKE
These small, fast personal transports appeal to teenagers looking for thrills, military forces that require effective scout vehicles, abd law enforcers needing swift pursuit craft. Speeder bike races are popular in the Core systems, where thry are viewed as more refined than the extremely dangerous podraces. Still, speeder bikes emphasize speed and maneuverability over safety and protection.
The Nightfalcon series is popular with civilians, racers, and militray forces. (Models made available to the public are not typically equipped with weapons.) It can achieve a maximum altitude of 10 meters, which is standard for most speeder bikes. Speeder bikes occupy an area 2 squares long by 1 square wide.

SPEEDER BIKES AND SWOOPS
Though they could technically be classified as groundspeeders or airspeeders, speeder bikes and swoops are more often thought of as a sparate class of vehicles. They all follow the same basic design idea - a repulsorlift generator with one or more turbothrust engines, with a seat and some controls attached to them. Such vehicles are generally fast and dangerous, making them equally ideal for sport racing, impressing your neighborhood friends, or military scouting.
In general, the most basic and simple designs are referred to as speeder bikes, while the more complex are refered to as swoops.

The 74-Z is a basic speeder bike designed for military scouting and urban patrol missions. It consists of a powerful repulsorlift engine with two small trust engines, a long forward control vein, and a small blaster cannon in the rotating mount. It is designed for a single pilot but has room for a passenger as well - both straddling the engine block of the vehicle. The 74-Z has a maximum ceiling of about 10 meters, typical for most modern speeder bikes.
The 74-Z was the speeder bike of choice fo the Empire, which generally deployed them in four-bike "lances." Lances were assigned to scouting or patrol missions, allowing just a few troops to search a large area. Actual combat missions were generally performed by infranty troops backed up by walkers as needed.

IMPERIAL SPEEDER BIKE
Soaring at amazing speeds on reconnaissance and patrol duties, the Imperial speeder bike is a slim, single-person repulsorlift conveyance. The lightweight bike can attain speeds in excess of 500 kilometers per hour. A quartet of small directional steering vanes on twin outriggings afford the speeder its maneuverability. Imperial biker scouts use two shoulder-level handgrips to control elevation and direction; a pair of rocker-pivoted pedals controls acceleration.
Located just fore of the speeder's saddle is a panel of toggle switches and knobs that control communications and other vital systems. Slung beneath the speeder's frame is a single laser cannon.

Hear alittle about the men riding the speeders
The stormtroopers designated as scouts wear lightweight armor that is considerably more flexible than the standard uniform. Much like their infantry counterparts, scout troopers wear a black body glove covered with white armor. Scouts often work in conjunction with light reconnaissance vehicles, such as Imperial speeder bikes. For this reason, they are often referred to as biker scouts.
