Go ahead and use this topic to ask question, raise activity, beat your commander for assigning impossible mission etc.. 
I'd just like to give a little report while I'm here. More detailed report at this weeks meeting. Both stories seem to be moving very strong, I'm very impressed. Navy's got themself...errr I put them into a tough situation, it will be interesting to see what different techniques they will have to come up with. Army needs to get moving a bit faster on thier operations. They have a lot to do and enemy numbers will increase the slower they go. But overall both are doing good.
oh..wanted to say this earlier in the week but I have forgotten  I have gone through the army and navy rosters and did kind of an AWOL check through the training roster. I've taken out troops that have never logged in for about 2-3 months etc...
Please feel free to kill these members off while posting. Navy has more of a chance of taking advantage of this atm but soon the army will be losing numbers... Hey we gotta keep this real some how
Anyway enough talk...like I said I'll have more details this sunday at the meeting. Keep up the excellent work!!!

Hmm®..Army support craft are currenôly involved in missions of their own. Aiding you guys would be0seriously jeopardizing the safeôy of those troo`s. Also, looks like there's a lot you could do0with some well-`laced picket lines and use of interdiction fields.

Its the Offensive Fleet, that we never use.. we only use the Defensive Fleet. The fleet is probably gathering dust in Furys factory. Infact, he's probably sold most of em by now.. 
We'd have to assign a Fleet Commander if it does anything.. just one of the NHC members. -----------------------

1) Piett appears to be away, and the other officer in the Starighter Corps is you, the Wing Commander. How many other people does that leave to command the Fleet? Ahh, yes, the NHC. PJ, Claw, Daishi, Sythspawn, me, or any other advisors.
2) I never suggested anyone, so don't accuse me of it.
3) The Offensive Fleet is NOT used, and will NOT be. Period. However, for STORY purposes, it CAN be used. And its not me that assigns a commander.. its anyone who wants to. Thats the point of story writing. In the story, Claw is in command.. he never wrote that he was in command, someone else did. Duh.
4) Ranks and positions have virtually no authority in a story.. any half-wit can see that. Darkhawk could write that I disobeyed an order, Lonewolf could write that I got court-martialled, and Kain Rennok could write that I got executed. Theres absolutely nothing I can do about that, is there?
5) If you are going to act so blatently stupid on a post, in front of the entire Vast Empire, then at least have some sort of case in your favour. -----------------------

Oh, and one other thing.. If I feel that it moves the story along, I will assign anyone I like to that position. I expect EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of the Vast Empire Navy to adopt the same attitude, and to assign who they like to what they want, if it does the story some good.
Just because I have Lieutenant Commander under my name doesn't mean I have to do everything, capiche?
An example:
LCRW Joe Bloggs writes:

RA Claw picked up his tunic and rushed out towards his hanger. As he left, he shouted "Riel Fury is in command!".
----------
RA Claw did NOT write that, but RA Claw gave an order (even though the order was made up by LCRW Bloggs), and so it will be obeyed, period. Therfore, with that simple post, Riel Fury is now commanding everything, and Claw has gone to fight.. which will move the story along.
I've seen people in the story putting others in command. Claw is in command of the Navy IN THE STORY, so I have absolutely no authority whatsoever. Riel, you are in command of the Wing in the story, because you were put there. However, all it will take to get rid of you is if a member writes that you get shot down. And the same goes for me.

If you really want to get down to how the roation is supposed to go here it is:
Sythspawn has resigned which means PJ is supposed to be in command right now.
PJ has been captured and cannot lead the fleet.
Then comes little ole me. As the TAC I'm third in line to command the navy so if you actually want to follow the rotation, take it up with me.
But since I'm all for having fun I'll allow you guys to go ahead and decide who you want to lead you into battle(it's the same system I use with the Fallen Angels, it's a wonder they still want me to lead them).
I'll type at you all some more when I finish catching up. -----------------------

ok heres another question though my other one isnt really answered either way here it is: Who are we going after first i would imagine that we would go after PJ then take on the Impy wannabes but i would like to see what you guys would think or you could come up with soemthing else and post it up on the story. i dunno i just want to make sure i dont get people getting too angry about one way this goes rather than the other if idont get a good response and dont see an updated post then of course ill post soemthing to help move us along. -----------------------

Can someone give us a quick synopsis of what has happened with the Navy since this campaign has started?
I saw a reference to Naval assistance in the Army Storynet and I'm wondering how that all fits in with everything.

Well, I guess that one was kinda my fault, or whatever. I heard somethign about a blockade around a planet in the army story, and in the Navy story our fleet is doing hit and fades on enemy systems. So we stopped in your system for a bit and destroyed the fleet blockaded. It wasn't anything major, I just thought it would be nice to tie the two together, however minimally. -----------------------

Ok, Riel...that works and thanks for the update.
Here is where the army is:
FA and Wraith squad were in the Meridian sector on a mission, which has completed. They are at Tadath trying to pick up any survivors from the attacks there. FA has quit the battle and have gone off on a new mission, which is their perogative. Wraiths will head to Lopen to link up with:
Iron Horse, Dark Dragoons, and Raiders squads, onboard the Dominion, which should have wrapped up a mission around Sernpidal (most squads have, just a few members have some things to wrap up - quickly I ask). From there, they should deliver their charges to Lopen and link up and resupply.
Captain Cosmic has been conducting rescue and defensive operations on Tadath, which should be ending with a link up with Wraith squad. From there he will head to Lopen onboard the Scythe.
The rest of Army HC, including myself, are on the losing end of the Battle of Lotaith. The FES ground elements with us are badly bruised and we are moving to conduct small unit urban warfare with the capital city among others.
We will move in the Corps once we link up the various squads at Lopen and conditions allow for some air cover on Lotaith (no use losing another VSD in this campaign).

Hey I just deleted about 80 or so troops... So feel free to kill them off in your stories...doesn't matter which division your in... If you find that one of these ppl weren't supposed to be deleted, they were deleted for two reasons A) they are trainees that never logged in. B) They were members without divisions...If this is the case you can have them rejoin. Remember if there are clones made from current members both will be taken out of the VE.
