i can get it working i went on it then wot when i try to connect to the server it wont let me any1 can tell me how to do it?

Joshua, does it say any types of errors when you are trying to connect?

1) Open mIRC. You'll be looking (should be looking) at the mIRC Options window now.

2) Fill in the following information:

  1. Full Name: Joshua
  2. Email: Email here
  3. Nickname: Joshua
  4. Alternate: Josh

3) If you have the newer version of mIRC, there should be an icon with a sun right next to the Connect To Server button. Click on that icon.

4) Click ADD

5) Fill in the following information (should be at the Add Server window):

  1. Description: StarWars
  2. IRC Server: irc.vastempire.com
  3. Port(s): 6667
  4. Groups: Leave blank
  5. Password: Leave blank


6) Click ADD

7) You should be back at the mIRC Options window again. Under IRC Network, select ALL from the drop-down menu list. Also be sure that the new server you added (StarWars) is selected, and then press the sun icon again.

8) Click 'Connect To Server'

You'll see various green PING? PONG! text and some other text as it logs on to our server.

9) Several scenarios may occur. Choose the scenario that happens:

1. Nothing happens, and you're left looking at the PING? PONG! text - in this situation, click on the window's command line and type in /join #vast_empire

2. A window pops up titled mIRC Favorites - In the command line under 'Enter a channel name and click join', type in: #vast_empire and click ADD. Select #vast_empire from the list and click JOIN

Well, Earth has one "excuse" for this which Zar does not. At the time Earth posted his post, Grand Moff Kadann did not post the "READ BEFORE POSTING" topic. Even so, that's not an excuse really.

vint, you missed something Jak said, the topic was over a month old before zar brought it back, notice the difference between June 3 and July 4? So yea, it was old.
