If you haven't seen it yet, LucasArts is developing a new game. It uses the Flash/Shockwave plug-in, but it looks good. It's called Star Wars Galaxies; you can find out about it at http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com. Could we possibly use this as some kind of competition? Right now it focuses on individual planets, but the expansion (which they are already developing) will include star ships, space combat, etc. Galaxies' due date is sometime in 2002. |

Red5, some of us, including myself, have already downloaded the Demo. But as of now, we have no competition, but I'm sure we'd like to play you. -----------------------

Ah.. Star Wars Galaxies... a very good game indeed. 
Another game modified using the famous EverQuest engine. Its actually been "public" for 7 months but its now only getting public notice.
Cant wait until it comes out. You can build buildings, fly your own ship, run your own store, become a Imperial Sargeant... since they scrapped users ability to become normal stormtroopers, for obvious reasons. It looks very good. I have over 70 screenshots from various sources that Im sticking on the FES site when I can get that section running smoothly.

I've been a member of Star Wars Galaxies website for a while now. I've read through most of the FAQ, and I have high anticipation for the game. I wish it was coming out sooner, but I'd rather have a near complete, and amazing game, than get crap right away and have to get a bunch of add-ons and expansions. Either way, I can't wait. -----------------------
