Daishi looked out over the fleet.  Things had been a bit strange lately and he found himself rather redundant.

Without a fighter and without purpose Daishi was finding himself thinking more and more about his wife Tina.  He was getting old and with the short lifespan of people from his planet he wouldn't be around for much longer.  Soon he would retire from active duty and be by her side for the rest of his life, raising thier child.

But what of that child's future?  Would it be filled with the order and discipline that he had long stood for or the corruption and decay that he had faught against for so long.

Daishi knew that he had something left to do and it was well past time he did it.

He still held a few VEEC credentials and had more then enough authority to do what he was about to.

Daishi began filling out the paper work to gather the parts and personel to rebuild the TIE Horror, but this time two would be built.  One for him to use until he retired then to be pased on to Kuroishi and one for his kid, but that particular detail Daishi decided to leave off the request forms.

Daishi and Tina had decided that they'd rather be suprised then allow the doctors to tell them what gender thier child would be.  Either way Daishi was looking forward to being a father himself.

The VEN still had a few years it could claim from Daishi before he retired but from Daishi's perspective and his inordinately long military career that would be nothing.

For today he had found himself inspired but with few directions to go.
