I am going to start a story where me and a group of people will go hunting for ghost spyders on Kubindi. If you want more info you can read the Star Wars mission book The Hunt for Grubba the Hutt for more info on Kubindi and Ghost spyders. If you want to be a part of the story then email me at [email protected] and I can make arrangements for everyone to be introduced in the first post. If you want to be in it then email me by Friday night because that will be when the first post is going to be posted.

OOC: I am going to put the introduction about what we are going to do and who is going with us. Then you guys can introduce yourselfs pack and what not then get to the shuttle and I will start the trip with take off then if you guys want to we can have enroute things then I will put the landing post and we can start off. Also bring whatever you want within reason no big mechs or anything just some big guns if you want. Another thing is that the bugs I spell on here are correct i.e. spydrs & fliis weird Kubindi spelling. /OOC

FlyingKnight was walking towards the shuttle bay while going over a checklist for the Hunting trip to Kubindi to hunt Ghost spydrs in the Silver Forest of Dreams. I heard it is a very mystical place and it is also said to be powerful in the force he thought. He walked into the shuttle bay and found the sentinel class landing shuttle on loan from the VEA. Walking up the loading ramp he walked into the cockpit and found his droid R2-Z7 plugged into the ships computer. FlyingKnight greeted the him and inputed the coordinates and told R2-Z7 that they would be leaving soon and to prep the shuttle. He checked off on the list that he checked out the shuttle and saw that he already contacted Shazam, Sniping101, and Lukas Yuy that the shuttle will be leaving at 1300 hrs. Just as he did, his communicator beeped and the army's receiving department told him that the Arrow-23 Tramp Shuttle has arrived and is being sent to the shuttle bay to be loaded on the shuttle. He thought that The tramp shuttle will be perfect, it will be our mobile command vehicle that will hold all of our stuff and the game that we shoot. Then FlyingKnight headed back to the Raiders barracks to pack all of his stuff.

---------------------*5 minutes later*---------------------------

Flying walked into his quarters and pulled out a duffle bag to put his gear in. He put in a few adhesive grenades and other various explosives, then he put in his stormtrooper II carbine with other various grenades for the guns launcher. He also put in his comm. tech. utility kit and his stormtrooper kit as well. After putting his other assortment of guns like his M82A1M .50 caliber Rifle and his personal M90 8 gauge shotgun. Then he took apart his A280 AP Heavy Rifle which he only had a basic permit for he thought it would come in useful because of the large insects. He then moved onto packing his clothes he put in a jungle camo snipers veil and a shadow suit for good measure. Then as he was about to walk out he almost forgot his macrobonaculars and his infrared goggles which then he put in his pack and headed for the shuttle. He got there and checked on the Tramp shuttle speeder and R2-Z7 then put his stuff in the speeder and laid down for a quick nap.

Lukas walked over to his chest at the foot of his bunk and entered the digital combination for it to open. A few seconds later, there was a click and it opened up.

He bent down and picked up his Storm Commando armor Whisper sniper rifle, Mynock Q33 silenced pistol, Hieb & Stich knives, Special Forces Kit, as well as grenades. Then laid all the items down on a nearby table.

Lukas went over every item and checked and double-checked them to make sure they were ready to go. He walked over to a little container on his dresser and pulled out some small metallic sphere shaped balls.

He slipped them into a small pocket on his belt. Lukas packed his gear. Lukas looked over at his bedside table and saw on his digital clock that it was 12:45. He still had 15 minutes to get down to the shuttle.

Lukas walked out of his barracks and locked the door, then headed down to were the shuttle was. As soon as he got there he walked up the ramp leading to the main compartment.

He passed a man lying on the floor and read his name tag and saw it was FlyingKnight. He decided not to wake him and would wait for the others.

Snipes kicked open his footlocker, disarmed his security bomb and began unloading all his booze into a box to take hunting, Snipes couldnt live without his booze.

He wore a pair of black pocketless corellian pants with a red flight jacket that had become his favorite. the 8-Gauge strapped to his side itched, it was a faithfull weapon he liked alot even though it lacked the neccesity of feniss he normaly admired from a weapon. he wore a harnes under his jacket that permitted him to carry an exctra, small, blaster and two knives. in his high leather boots where a boot knife in each;Snipes liked to be prepared for war.

after finishing with his booze and loading them up much to everyones delight, he went back and began loading a duffle bag full of guns, his deathwind Sniper rifle, his modifyed E-11/m, a E-11/H, and lots of other rifles and pistols. he loaded another duffle full of just grenades and another with large explosives and detonators and assorted peices. his last duffle held his stormtrooper utillity belt (holding six grenades of its own, along with a canteen of whisky, a cutting torch, a welding torch, a grappling hook and assorted items Stormtroopers need) a DL-44 blaster and clothes. he loaded the items on and went back to grabb a couple of items he would leave loose like a comm unit his datapad and 200 credits.

(Since, obviously, CH8 isn't going to happen this time around, I'm ganna go on ahead and post my intro.)

Shazam was extremelly excited to hunting with some Army guru's for the first time.  The most he did in the navy was get some run-ins with rufians and go onto rogue trails that led him into trouble.  At least there was no danger here.  When Flying Knight had asked him if he would like to go on the trip, nearlly dropped the box in his hands.  Of course, there was that uncertainty because he would be killing defensiless animals...  But Flying had been quick to disolve that problem and offer a solution.  He had said," Number one, those basterds arn't defenseless, they'll rip you apart...  We're just fighting back.  Kind of."  With that he gave him a smirk.  Shazam wasn't really sure how much hunting would actually be done.  Especially since Sniping was coming along, he was a cool character but really liked to drink.  Who could blame him.  Shazam shrugged off the thought and went to the Weapons Depot where he stored his weapons.  He had two bags with him when he got there.
Shazam had gone out of his way to get some hunting equipment, not ever going hunting with his dad hadn't been disapointing because he got to see alot of cool stuff instead, but might as well get something out of this experiece since he couldn't get it in his childhood.  The officer incharge of the depot gave him a weird look when he started requesting his hunting equipment.
"PO2 Shazam.  I need my Defending Sporting Blaster, my EXP-7a Hunting Rifle, Model 3287 Luma Flare, OmniNode Communications Set, Ryyk Blade, Sport 7 Sporting Blaster Pistol, and my Holorecording Macrobinoculars.  I think that'll do.  Oh, actually, get me all of my Nacht 5's, yea those ones," Shazam said indicating the shelf.  The depot man retreived his weapons and Shazam carefully slung his rifles over his shoulders and put his Comunications set on his back and then his pistols into thier hoslters.  Opening up one of the sacks he put in several grenades, about twenty Nacht 5 Smoke Grenades, and then quickly zipped it up.
Alrighty, he thought to himself, next stop...  The super market of course, he would need rations, he joked with himself.  He eyed the surplus store, then started walking over.  He must of looked as if he was going to rob the place, but he still got his favorite galactic Chip, Coruscant delectibles, he got about three bags of that, and then bought a case of beer.  Just in case Sniping ran out, who was he kidding, he wouldn't run out.  Might as well get my kind, he said and retreived a slightly more tastier less strong beer.  Not quite cheer-beer, but good.  He stuffed these "rations" in his bag, filling it so that he had to pack the rest of his chips in there.  Then remembering that he hadn't packed deodierent, he went back and got some of that.
Making one last stop at his cabin, he picked up his suitcase with all his emergency supplies, then headed towards the vehicle depot.  He grabbed his Skybird swoop and put all his supplies on it.  He check his watch...  I have five minutes!  He panicked and instead of walking the swoop, he jumped onto it and pushed the throttle.
He arrived at Flying's little ship and put his swoop into the cargo area.  Then as he was walking over to put his supplies where they needed to be, Sniping gave him the weirdest look when he saw all of Shazam's luggage and weapons, then said," First time hunting?" and he smiled and took a swig of beer.  Then kicked Flying in the side, awakening him from his dreary sleep.

OOC: Here we are going to start yay I am going to post the takeoff and if wants to they can post some in flight conversations and such. I don't know for sure when I will post the landing but it should be soon. /OOC

Just after Shazam kicked Knight, he fell off the seat he was napping on and shook the sense into himself. He stood up and said, "You guys get ready for takeoff and secure all of your stuff." He then walked up to the cockpit to check on R2-Z7's progress on the preflight checklist. The door opened to the cockpit and Knight walked in and his R2 droid greeted him with a whistle. He checked his datapad for the translation of what his droid was saying and it seemed that the ship was ready for takeoff. Knight jumped into pilot seat and started to power up the engines. As he was powering up the engines he turned on the repulsor lifts and the ship rose slightly off the ground. The engines were ready to kick in and Knight got permission from the tower that they were clear for takeoff. The ship then blasted out of the hangar as Knight pushed the throttle. The ship started to exit the atmosphere and R2-Z7 started the calculations for the hyperspace jump. Knight checked on his droids progress and saw that he was done and inputed the coordinates and spoke over the PA that the ship was going to enter hyperspace. He then flicked a switch and the cockpit glowed blue as the stars rushed past.
"Great job Z7 tell me when we get close," Knight said as he walked back to the lounge area.

(Just making a short little intro to the ship...  I like to think of Shazam as a know-it-all, but doesn't say anything. He, he...)

Shazam had been automatically intersted in how the ship flew, being in the Navy and all, he supposed.  After having a little talk about when they would be getting there with Knight, Shazam walked into the cockpit.
Examining they're flight path for further information, he made a slight adjustment to get them there faster.  Also, the type of monitors that they were using were slightly different from those of the Navy.  They were easier to fly, and only needed two screens to know where you were going.  Basically, a good ship for newbies.  It was more of a "I'm not really much of a pilot, but I can fly this for fun' ship.  Just like Shazam's cruiser.  They flew slowly, but had a very comfortable feeling.
Most of the instruments for navigation were self-ran, not needing much attention, they simply worked themselves.  That also meant they weren't specific, Shazam noticed.  Not keeping his mind on this, he went to the pilots chair, and the controls were similar to that of a small regular cruiser.  But this was an 'Army' cruiser, the two divisions always had a slightly different taste for how things were done.  The controls had to hand holds on the bar, definetly made so it would be easier to control the lift.  They might as well of been playing a video game, nothing was really controlled, all kind of auto...  Oh well, that's what you get for being in the army...  But then again, those army men in the back could more than likely tell him a thing or two about cutting a man up, so Shazam would keep his mouth shut for the time being.

"oh c'mon Shaz, believe me i can fly" Snipes pleaded

"no, no way, you've had just a bit to much" Shaz sat  in the pilots seat forcing Snipes back.

"what? havnt had that much? whats the count now Fly, six?" Snipes said turning his head to FlyingKnight while still pushing lightly against Shaz.

FlyingKnight just looked at the pile of emptys rolling around the cargo area "I'd say more like ten, but still under your limit"

"no,no,no hes not flying! you gotta be joking, he'll fly us right into a star" Shaz screamed back while fighting against Snipes and his ever present smirk.

FlyingKnight watched Snipes and Shaz go back and forth, back and forth untill something in Snipes eye caught his attention, it was the Twinkle that entered Snipes eye just before he did something tricky, something very tricky indeed; then it happened, in a quick pulling, twisting motion, Snipes managed to smoothly pull Shaz out of the seat and place himself in the pilots chair. Shaz stood ther stunned for a second.
"its ok, its ok, im just messin around, jump in the co-pilots seat and if i start scaring you i'll give you control back"But Snipes still smiled
Shazam Nodded merrily and ploped himself down in the co-pilots seat.

Snipes Sat behind the comtrols of the scary army Shuttle they where flying, put together by the lowest bidder of parts scavenged off Tatooine.  Snipes punched a few buttons and the ship shuddered.

"Maybe letting you drive wasnt the best idea" Fly said nerviously.

"mind if we take a small detour, it'll only take a sec?"Snipes asked
"err. . .long as it isnt to. . .uh long."
It wont be, it wont>" Snipes Smiled evily and dropped the ship from hyperspace.
Snipes diverted all his power to the engines, first he took them for a few standard loops, then a dive at a nearby astroid, then they started going faster then slower, faster slower, faster slower, careening twards nearby objects and weaving in between, Snipes laughed hystericaly as everyone except Shazam Grabbed thier stomach, now it was time for the grand fanale, something realy great, something that would make them all sick up, something truly amazing, Snipes accelerated to half speed and hit a few buttons and readyed his fingers over two more, he was about to show them what flying realy was, a small trick picked up on his home planet of Corellia; then as they got into a les debris filled area of space, snipes hit full throttle and spun the controls just. hitting several other buttons and they rocketed into a severer spin, spinning across space like a top, but extremely fast, they spun with such force Snipes felt himself sucked into the back of his chair as he laughed hystericaly, he laughed harder as he haerd the twin sounds of Flying and Lukas puking in somethig Snipes hoped wasnt his helmet. Snipes could hear Shaz laughing next to him, after several minutes though Snipes pulled them out of it and he and Shaz fell out of thier seats laughin with the adrenaline rush, but it was a sick looking flying knight that told them
"Im never letting you drive again"
Snipes laughed and when Shaz inquired asto the skill Snipes only told him he was from Corellia, a place noted for its fine pilots.

(OOC: its not my best but i was bored and decided to do something with the smuggler side of my char /OOC)

Chip shook his head. Snipes was definitely a nut case. And the Army actually trused this guy with guns? Good Lord. Chip liked Snipes, he was halarious at times, but the VEA must be desperate for any storm troopers they could lay hands on.

"Okay, okay. Shaz, gimmee the controls. Neither of you two are flying, because that puke smells disgusting. Will somebody clean that up?"

Snipes giggled, then ran back to the hold to drink more beer. Poor FlyingKnight and Lukas were stilling clutching their wretching stomaches, but they'd live. Chip slid into the pilot's seat, figuring he'd just make sure that this rattle-trap thing hadn't wrenched any important parts off. "Shaz, gimmee a check of all major components."

"Engines, okay. Hyperdrive, okay. Stabilizer... Uh... Stabilizer..."

After clutching his stomach Knight said, "Ok guys I think my droid can handle the flying. I can see that the stabilizer is out of alignment so I will fix that before we can go into hyperspace. So everyone please get out of the cockpit."
R2-Z7 beeped angrily at everyone as they left. FlyingKnight walked out toward an access panel and pulled out his tools. He popped it open and started to align the stabilizers. After he confirmed that they were aligned within parameters with Z7 he replaced the panel and radioed his droid to enter hyperspace after calculations were done. Then Knight radioed everyone else that the ship was going to enter hyperspace in a few moments. The ship roared forward and then after the gravity was back to normal he walked into the lounge. "Okay everyone I am transmitting to everyone's datapad the plan of where the ship is going to land and where we are going to be hunting. By the time the ship lands I want everyone's arsenal and supplies to be on the tramp shuttle and stowed away." Knight said as he walked into the tramp shuttle to check the systems and to put away his stuff.

OOC: I don't know if you guys checked in our bios, but me and Lukas are a part of a mercenary group so I don't think that we would get sick because I am a professional pilot, but it doesn't really matter. /OOC

(Ah yes...  Nothing like a good sick manuever or two...  But in real life, I'd be the one puking the most...  I'm actually more of a army commando than a pilot.  But I suppose Shazam is my alter-ego)

Shazam hadn't expected a Judo move to be used on him...  Either Snipes had past experience in marshall arts or he was one sneaky, sly son of a bitch.  Next time, Shazam would have him on the ground.  But he had lost all thought of this as soon as Snipes had gotten through with his little fun.

Shazam was the first person to get his stuff loaded up, he had jumped over the puke and made way for his equipment.  It had only taken him about five minutes for him to get his equipment aboard the thing, though.  He was still anxious to get hunting.  Since Chip had decided to jump intot he transport at the last second, Shazam was a bit more comfortable around these characters.  They were a bit rough around the edges, but they seemed pretty well filed down.

Chip had gone out of his way to make sure everything was okay before he let the droid get in control of the ship, he wasn't so trusting of it.  "What if it breaks down er something?" he had complained.  Shazam only worried about this a bit, but then again, practially all of them knew how to fix the ship if somethig went wrong though.  He had simply shrugged it off, and continued to load his stuff up.  After words, he sat back, still anxious, and listened to Snipes tell his drunken stories to the rest of the crew.  Shazam hadn't spent much time outside of the Navy, and one of the only vacations he'd had in the Navy so far, ended up being a bit more than he thought they would be, leaving several dead as well.  But Chip had been there, and Chip was starting to be able to predict what he was going to do, and vice versa.

Maybe the two of this sensed this in eachother, but Shazam also had some trust in his new found ship mates.  He'd never gone hunting, and these men would be his ears, eyes, and mind...

(OOC: oh ya, oops, must be the bios i havnt gotten too, ahwell, that maneuver is ment to get ppl sick, but i like to think of Snipes as a Boozer/Conn artist,)

"Oh, C'mon guys, this is my only helmet" Snipes whined holding up his puke filled helmet
"Paybacks a bitch" Flying Smiled at Snipes
Snipes grumbled and walked over to the lockers, opened up FlyingKnights and tossed the puke filled helmet it, quikly shutting the door before anyone saw. Snipes Snickered Sinistarly.
Snipes pulled out his duffles and packed them into the shuttle then moved his box of precious booze into it, altogether his stuff took up more room than anyone elses.
"Snipes you gotta do something about that, theres no way im standin up. especialy if you ever fly again" it was Lukas motioning at Snipes pile of stuff.
Snipes smiled "I'll stand, besides, you can never be over armed"
Lukas just shook his head and walked away, still looking slightly green, but recovering quikly.
Snipes thought sat in the main transprot area and looked at every one else, he had run missions with FlyingKnight and Lukas_Yuys, although not directly with Lukas, and Snipes liked the Navy guys, even if they did seem a bit higher class than the Army guys, but Snipes smirked to himself and figured army guys had it harder, all the running, jumping shooting getting shot, that bad food, the horrible clothing, and officers with sticks up thier nose. Snipes had found Navy guys knew how to party though, he had always found Partying with Navy guys fun.
the Ship shuddered. "Are you guys sure you dont want me to dirve?" Snipes asked harmlessly.
A corus of "Yes"s asnwered Snipes, Snipes retreated back to his corner and pulled out his hip flask, best whiskey in the Corps, his own moonshine.
"Im guessing we're there?"
"yup" FlyingKnight said fataly opening his locker "SNIPES! THATS SICK"
"Paybacks a bitch"Snipes said slyly

After throwing the puke filled helmet back at snipes, Knight walked toward the cockpit to check on the ship's status and to land the shuttle. He walked in and the first thing he saw was the black and white coloring of Kubindi. He thought about the ash like planes and the silver and white forest trees they will about to embark upon. Being dazed for a few moments FlyingKnight was startled by his droid making a funny noise and saw that the ship was approaching on the planet's atmosphere. He slowed the ship as it descended into the atmosphere. There was some gravitational pull backwards as the retro boosters kicked in some more and then it stopped as the ship entered the biosphere. Then a crackle and a robotic voice came over the comm, "Welcome to Kubindi where is your destination."
"The Silver Forest of Dreams and the outling areas around that."
"What is your business."
"Various hunting and exploring."
"Thank you...you may land at docking bay 604 in the city near the forest of dreams."
Knight wondered why the city didn't have a name but dismissed it as he headed for the Forest of Dreams. The ship approached the city at a fast pace and he pulled the throttle back and saw it did no good as he saw that the city was pulling them in with a tractor beam. As the ship started to approach the bay he lowered the landing gear and got up to start to unload the ship...

OOC: Okay guys we can mill around the city a bit and get a guide or something and then we can go hunting first for the large fliis or something. /OOC

Chip unzipped his huge, green duffel bag and made sure that everything was still there. Good, he had his flechette launcher, an absolutely wonderful 8-gauge shotgun, a bi-polar BMC-150 carbine, an E-11/H heavy blaster rifle, an LJ-90 blaster sniper rifle, and his TI-47 deathwind slugthrower sniper rifle. If anything got too close, Chip had brought an IM-44 heavy blaster pistol , RLW-77 wrist lasers, and his beloved Mynock Q33 slugthrower pistol. Heh, lots of guns. Cetainly made for one heavy duffel bag. But he knew nothing about these ghost spider things, though he figured they were probably big, disgusting things. He'd seen plenty of horror holos about giant spiders that were nearly impossible to kill, so Chip figured it wouldn't hurt to be prepared.

There was another bag filled with other gear, things like extra clothes, medpacks, rationpacks, a comlink, macrobinoculars, various things of that nature. Chip sat down on the floor, ruffling through the handful of books that he had brought. Let's see, Rifles for Watie was good, so was The Killer Angels. Chip had thought about bringing his autographed copy of God's and General's, but that was better left in his lock box to preserve its condition. They had based an action holo off of that book, but it had sucked beyond all comprehension. The historical portrayals were all wrong, and it focused so much on one character that it had been nick-named "God's and Jackson." What was stupid was that it portrayed Stonewall Jackson as being a good person, and that his troops loved him. But in reality he was a complete jerk, and was absolutely despised by his men. They hated his guts. But that was the problem with action holos. They cared more about political correctness than historical facts. And political correctness sold better. But anyway. Back to his gear. Chip was shining the stock of his shotgun when Shazam walked in.

"Hey Shaz. Congrats on being made CO of second flight."

"Thanks. Yeah, it's cool. Brought the ol' shotgun?"

"Yup. Looks some of the army guys have the same thing. Course, there's don't have the Navy emblem I carved into the side. Heh. Oh, I got it finished, by the way. Used some of that wood finisher on it as a protectant, and maked it look like a profesional job."

Lukas leaned his head in. "We're landing."

(I've read the book Rilfe's for Watie...  Not bad, one of the better Civil War books of it's time.  As for the movie 'Gods and Generals...'  Your are correct about the fact that his men didn't know whether to love or hate him.  BTW, I'm using one of my ideas from my book in this little bit, thought it would make it more interesting.)

Shazam hadn't the chance to sit next to a window when they entered the bay, so his sight had been lost.  But once they arrived in the hanger, Shazam was the first off the ship, full of glee and ready to get into hunting.  However, Knight was needing some extra time to load stuff up, so they had a little time to walk about the town.  Chip went with Shazam, the others just broke up and went where they pleased.
As he walked out into the check-out center, it all seemed so familier.  Dejevou'...  Hadn't had that feeling he thought, as he looked out the squeaky clean windows looking off into the distance.  His first impression was lots of space, but he looked closer and found that the entire area was filled with city.  Domes and the points of buildings spiraling towards the heavens in a vast array of blinding light that made Shazam stammer.  The light here seemed to radiate pure white energy, leaving him seeing spots.
When the two imperials first stepped out into the unshaded sun-light, Shazam had to bow his head, Chip doing the same, trying to adjust their eyes, and looking for the nearest store to seek refuge.  Shazam saw a building with the words 'The Arch' carved into the top as if on a rainbow.  He took his chance and signaled for Chip to follow him, the two of them scattered away from the intense light and made way for the building.
He slipped in, and the light was replaced by a golden glow, letting his eyes level out, comfortable again.  The atmoshpere was comfortable as well.  Looking around the little shop, dark glass tables went all around the building, Shazam had just realized it was a full arch.  He kind of shrugged off the thought, but then he realized the windows around him were moving.  Moving?  Naw, that can't be right, he told himself.  Looking closer, he walked over to the window and put his hand against it.  It was cold and dark, like the rest of the shop, but the glass still had the appearence of movement.  A voice came from behind him...
"Welcome to the Arch!" Shazam jumped and glanced around for the voice.  Finding a fine slender body with a waste covered only by an ornemental dress, Shazam had shivers.  The womens hair was long and dark, made into a bun, revealing her large brown eyes that would melt ice.
Chip instantly recognized the look and stepped in as if to say,' Don't get her into anything."  But Shazam suddenly had an interest in the woman that clung to him.  Of course, there was that uneasy feeling of how she might die in their next adventure, but Shazam had grown used to this and let it go.
"Well, what can I do for you, I noticed that you were touching the windows, you must be tourist," she lifted an eyebrow, then explained further.  "You see, this place is called the 'Arch' because, not only it's curved figure, but it's pressence and look as the last remaining link to the Forest of Dreams.  Water spills over the windows to give the appearence that it's raining.  The place is also sometimes referred to as the 'Rain Room," She said.  Noticing that Shazam was still examing her, she guestured towards the podium for service.  The two men shook themselves from her beauty and made way for the little desk like feature, sitting in the very center of the room.
If Chip wouldn't have been there to talk and divert her attention, the women would have instantly realized Shazam's gawking.  However, if Chip hadn't been talking, he'd 've been gawking as well.
"So, what can I do for you two?" She said with some spirit.  Her smiled revealed nice clean, white teath that made her eyes come alive.  Shazam was back into the trance...
Bringing himself back, Chip quickly answered," What did you mean by this was the last link to the Forest of Dreams, it just so happens were heading there..."  She tilted her head just a bit, examing his face for signs of something.
"This is the spot where the first tree was chopped," She said without the least hesitation.  "The people felt guilty about destroying part of the forest, referring to it as a place of lost dreams and became restless.  Thus, this little cafe' slash restuarant was brought up, recantered, and is the only building in the city two have a wild growing plant in our midst." She guestured towards the window behind her.  Dark glass surrounded it, just shaded that is, and revealed a single tree with roots purged out of the ground with several different rope like vines hanging around it.
"Like we said, the last link to the Forest of Dreams," She said, her eyes watching them, as if hanging the last word for more of an effect on the two.  Chip nodded his head as if, OOH!  Now it was Shazam's turn.
"Intriuging, we'd like to be seated then, we have about an hour and a half of wandering, this is only our first stop.  Any interesting places that you'd think would be one to put on any travelor's list," he said explicitly.  She reguarded this one as a real question.
"Well, you are a tourist, you should probably now that most people have got some kind of shades to protect themselves from the bright light, it doesn't really hurt your eyes, it's just near impossible to see.  There are two shade's store nearby, one down the street, another across town, both easilly recognizable due to the fact that they both have a red circle on the tower of each.  You'll be seated just over here," She finished and led them to a table.

(This little bit where the water is falling from the windows, in my story that I've created, there is a room known simply as the 'Rain Room' and I just thought that it would bring some interesting aspects to this place.)

"Will these work?" Chip took out his magnetic clip-on sunglasses and fixed them to his eyeglasses. They didn't look too bad with his camo baseball cap. Heh. Chip loved his camo hat. Yup, camoflage and shotguns, two things critical to hickdom.

"That will work just fine. You mentioned that you were going to the Forest of Dreams, may I ask why? I'm not aware of any tours..."

"Hunting. We plan on bagging a few ghost spiders, though so far I haven't a clue what they are."

"If you don't know what they are, then how do you plan to hunt them?" She smiled, almost a flirty smile. Chip grinned. He could see that Shazam was drooling over this women, and kind of jealous of Chip for the smile. Well. Chip had no interest. He still enjoyed a woman's company, prefered it, but couldn't bring himself to be more than friends with any of them, after what had happened to Sarah. He was still too heart broke. Chip would have been happy to let Shazam have the girl, except for a certain vibe she was giving off. It was a little uncomfortable, sort of unnerving.

"Well, I plan to leave that up to my pals. I figure they probably know what we'll be facing, so I'll just tag along."

Shazam managed to break his trance and say something. "Yeah, we came with several guys from the Vast Empire's Army, but we're in the Navy. I'm a TIE pilot!"

"Oh, so you're military..." This seemed to displease her, she evidently didn't like fighting men.

"Yes, ma'am. We managed to get a few days leave, which was almost imposible what with the upcoming Chapter 8 campaign. But it's nice to get a few days away from the usual grind. Say, you wouldn't happen to have any SunDrop here, would you?"

"SunDrop? I don't belive I've heard of that..."

"Ah well. It's a kind of soda. Well, I think I'm going to see if the others need help unloading. Coming, Shaz?"

(Now...  I was going to mention to you, to have her flirt with you, glad you had that instinct with you.  It'll make the story more interesting for my character, but don't worry!  You'll have some stuff in yours as well, my friends!)

"Naw, I think I'll tick around." She said, his eyes still on her, but now a bit more romantic then scanning.  Still transfixed Shazam took a chance," What's your name?"  Her smile became a kind of curiousity; Chip was still watching, as if the whole thing was a show.  The two eyes were still locked, he was trying to stare her down, but her eyes were literally melting him to the core.
"Stacy, everyone calls me Stace though."  Shazam nodded as if saying,'Oh that's a nice name.'  They were both quiet; Chip slipped away like he always did.  Then the most awekward thing happened, the vibe changed.  Oh yes, the ever important vibe, and essential in Shazam's mind.  Chemistry was always needed to start something, and apparently her uncomfortable state had lifted, and she was now perplexed infront of him wondering what next.  But she sat down across from him, still staring right at him.
"You from here?" Shazam said, using his normal catch line...

(I'm ganna have some fun with this chick...  He, he...)

Snipes felt the jolt as he flew out of the cantina and hit a nearby wall. he did so hate gettring thrown out. but by the time he was standing the door had shut and the shotgun in his hand was of no use. Probably for the better, he was a visitor and didnt think much of going jail on a alien world. instead he turned around and began brushing himself off, the alley was short and it wasnt long before he had to replace his imperial issue sunglasses because of the blinding light. snipes liked the dark, gloomyness of bars, the sound of dice and the feel of cold liquer on the back of his throat. but this tossing was just too much for Snipes and he decided to he might aswell help FlyingKnight load stuff, Snipes wasnt much of a site seer, he had no intresst in it, but on his way back to the hanger Snipes happened to look down a particularly dark alley. he saw down it about halfway was a grimy looking sign and a door beneth it; Snipes natural curiosity came over him and he sauntered on down the alley, he kept his hand close over his shotgun, he didnt trust anybody, ever. He kicked his way threw garbage and refuse, the smell was nasty and the heat felt sticky, but the worse it got the more determined snipes got.
after kicking his way threw he came to the sign and door. he reached up, the sign was above even his head, and cleaned off some dirt and grime, it read: Bolos' fine Blasters and accesories.
That intrigued Snipes enough for him to open the door and step inside, the inside was dark and  grimy, just like the outside, no sun got it and Snipes had to take off his sunglasses. there where three dirty looking thugs sitting around the counter that sat farther to the left. they where speaking in low voices in a language snipes couldnt decern.
"ello, this palce Bolos?" Snipes said, hand on shotgun.
"may be, maybe" the tallest and dirtyest of the three said standing up, all humans, but this man was speaking ryl.
"sell shotgun ammo" Snipes spoke in ryl
the man looked disapointed because of snipes understanding but still replyed "just leave, before we make you, fool."
"im kinda like it here, nice and dark" Snipes switched languages to Rodian
"just shove off, and speak something i know" the man started walking twards him, the walk looked millitary.
"i wouldnt screw with me, you dont want to end up dead do you?"
the tall one laughed and his two compatriots joined him.
"so you wanna play tough? i'll teach you tough" the tall one jumped at Snipes but Snipes deflected him wich a quik blow to the side of the head. The two lacky advanced at some speed, but they where no problem, a few quick twist, turns and swings sent them back to thier master, who was surprisingly still concious, although barely, Snipes had seent he same blow kill a wookiee, Snipes must've missed, it was all he could figure out.
"tricky bastard are ya?" the man said in a daze "fine, i'll show you tricky" Suddenly there was a holdout blaster in his hand, but mere seconds later the hand was gone as Snipes shogun blew it apart, the man screamed and Snipes left.
he trudged threw the alley back out to the street, he did so hate idiots, and that man was an idiot.
it was starting to get late and Snipes figured he had better get back and help Fly, but as he walked out into the street he realized just how far away the port was and just how much he didnt want to walk, he needed a speeder. a few minutes and a walk around the block found him what he wanted, a brand new open top speeder, just waiting to go for a joy ride. Snipes hoped in and reached under the dash, pulling out a group of wires, he found the red and orange and conected them, the engine whired up, this thing was definately fast, Snipes hit the accelerateor and sped off the the port, taking a few detoures first, of course.

FlyingKnight heard the sound of a land speeder before he saw it, and when he did turn to look he was surpirse to see Snipes sitting in the cockpit of a good as new racing speeder; Flys jaw dropped.
"how. . where. . .what?" was all he could bring out as Snipes stopped and jumped out with a TA-DA.
"well ya see, it was just kinda sitting there. . ." Snipes started abit sheepishly
"you didnt?"FlyingKNight said horrifyed"you didnt steal it?"
"i prefer to think of it as borrowing"Snipes said with a grin, apearently the sheepishness was just mock.
"you could get us in some major trouble you know"
"ya, its possible"

(OOC:this isnt my best piece, but its a good indication of the kinda person Snipes is./OOC)

Chip shook his head. He had come running when he had heard the shotgun blast, only to see Snipes saunter out and hot wire an expensive speeder. Great. Just great. not only was Snipes shooting the locals, but he was stealing speeders as well. If that didn't get them in trouble with the local security force, little else would. It might actually be a good idea to stay away from the hangar for a little while, just incase people came looking for the Imperials. Well. Where to go?

Chip wandered about for half an hour, finnaly finding his way back to the place where he had left Shazam and that girl. "Well, I think it would be best for us to lay low. Snipes has gone and done it again."

Shazam didn't seem to even hear Chip, he was much too busy talking with that girl. Chip chuckled to himself, sat down at a table in a corner, and read one of his books.
