i'm a newbie to this site (less than a month) and i don't know what the heck RPGs
are except for that it stands for role playing game. how would i get started? looks and sounds interesting.

One type of RPG is text-based RPG. This is where x-amount of people meet in a channel on mIRC and watch as the Game Master(s) unfold the story. You then describe what you want your character to do, and you roll a dice (a script) to determine how well your character proceeds with the action.

Another type of RPG is like the SWMOD or SWMUD. :P Not too familiar with that. That's also text-based.

And the RPG that Rizzit is talking about takes place in JO.
