The RPG is a fairly simple concept. Inb essence, you are a character that you create. You get into the mind of your character, and then you play in a world that your game measter (GM) creates. The GM controls the world, as well as everyone but you and other players. In the world, you can try to do whatever you want. For instince, if you were in a garrison surrounded by rebel troopers, and you decide that your character wants to tap dance, then you will tap dance. This is a grossly exaggerated example, but it should give you an idea of how the game works. Now, if you try to do something, it won't automatically work. You will roll a die, and see if your die roll, plus other modifiers that are dealt with in the main rules, exceeds whatever your GM decides is the total that needs to be passed. I can't get into a more detailed description now, because I am not entirely sure what rule system we are using. There are a few published systems, put out first by West End Games, then later by Wizards of the Coast.
