We need a Guild Logo of some sort for SWTOR. I was cruising the wiki and noticed a rather nice one for another guild ( http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/File:SL_Flag_3.png) and realized that having a good image will be important for us if we want to use SWTOR as a recruiting tool. Not having the photoshop skills to do it right myself, I thought I'd see what better artists can come up with. How do we want to go about it? Do we go the elegent and simplistic route like the one linked above, or something more like our ComNet banners that's more evocative of the Vast Empire itself? I know we've got a couple of threads around somewhere in which we created logos for the VE that differed somewhat from the true Imperial Crest, but couldn't find the critters. We might use those ideas as a base. I'm taking on the guild wiki page as a personal project, though help is very much appreciated. The coding is somewhat different on the wikia site, though, so it's difficult. As for the guild logo....is this something we can actually use in the game? Or just on our own sites? If in the game, do you know dimensions?
Any other examples of logos you can find?

I'll look into the logos some more. Don't know if they'll be used in the game or not, but I suspect they're at least good for the guild home page on swtor.com. That's probably in the Admin options there, though. (A link to the wiki page on the guild home page would be good too, I think.) I'm really loving the second and third 3D models that Cosmic posted, both on Page 2. The guild is taking place in a time long before the Galactic Empire, so I think using an obvious version of the Imperial Crest is just a bit...meh. WHy not go with something rather similar, but unique in its own way? I'm posting those two versions below:   What do you guys think? Both are superb! I would have to throw my support behind the second of the two. The top one is a bit too... elongated, too tall, almost makes me think of the Old Republic emblem (and I despise the Republic!). The second one is far more Imperial, so I just love it! Do we have anyone who could rotate those two symbols so they face straight forward and then add decent text to them? Just "The Vast Empire". If possible I'd like to use one or the other as at least a temporary image to put up on the wiki and possibly the recruitment thread until we figure out a permanent logo. (Well, and I'd like to see them arranged like that to see how they'd work as a permanent logo, but don't have the skills to do so myself.) Compensation available if desired.

I've got no way to get them, I'm afraid. Raigen (not Cosmic. I'm an idiot) posted them both, but he hasn't logged in since June. Otherwise I'd try and ask him.
What about the first one in that style? It's in the last post of the first page. I dunno if there's a file for it, but it looks as good as those two do.

I'm going to pipe in and say that I think that whatever logo is decided on, should really become the official logo of the VE as a whole. I think that the referenced thread should really be resurrected to select a logo if none has been as of yet. Judging by that thread alone, it seems that one was never decided on, so I think it would be beneficial to do so.
