  Flensor: Naval Surgeon (Tier One)

Flensor walked down the TIE Shuttle's ramp and looked around, seeing a small Imperial camp. It's fenced in with three grayish buildings that housed two stories within it, flanked by cargo containers leaning onto the walls. In front of him was a chain linked gate that was currently open. Flensor walked inside of the fenced in area and continued to look around, at the edge of the fences there was a tower with two men in woodland camouflage Scout trooper armor equipped with E-11s Sniper Rifles. After examining the rest of the camp he walked into the first building closest to the gate, the building was on the right side of the camp. He walked up the small ramp and walked through the door as it opened, inside the room was a empty class room. There was no one there except Flensor, he walked up to the desk that was all the way in the back and on the left corner of the building. On the desk was a medical dummy that accurately resembled a Human. The dummy had a wire leading from the back of it's neck, specifically where the spinal cord and brain meets, to a machine that was showing it's vital signs. The machine showed the dummies vitals which was: Core Temperature: 37.0 °C/98.6 °F BPM(Beats per minute): 70 Blood Pressure: 112/64 mmHg Respiratory Rate: 15 breaths per minute. From the data shown the dummy was a average human male who was over the age eighteen. His vitals were perfectly fine, the core temperature was at the universal standard, his beats per minute was also universally standard. The amount of milimetre of mercury, abbreviated as mmHg, was applying a healthy amount of pressure on his blood. As for his respiratory rate, it was a perfectly good amount of intakes of oxygen per minute. The door opened again, Flensor turned his neck and saw a group of people started to walk inside of the room and then more followed the group inside. The class was starting to arrive.

Thirty seconds after the first classmate arrived, after Flensor had walked in, a man cladded in a black naval uniform walked towards the desk that was positioned so that the person standing in front of it would be looking at the students. Flensor hadn't noticed this before but everyone but him and the supposed uniform was wearing white colored scrubs, they must've had a on the field exercise before coming to the class room. Flensor wasn't in any field scrubs because he had passed his field exercise a few days ago, he decided to take the test now and not when he just finished his exercise because he had a urgent matter to attend to.  The instructor scanned the room and then looked down onto his desk, instead of a dummy it had a giant holographic screen with a desktop like box next to it accompanied by a, what appears to be, keyboard. The instructor said, "Well, you've gone through your classes, did your field exercises and now you're ready for the test. You all have a mediSimulator dummy in front of you, I will load up the simulation program which will randomly decide the fate of your dummies' wounds. Each program is unique, therefore you cannot cheat, so all you pansies that didn't study, you have a shit storm heading your way. The test starts.." The instructor tapped at the keyboard keys with his fingers and the holoscreen started to show the data of all thirty two dummies. "... now." The instructor pressed a single key on the keyboard and the dummies gave a low pitched hum and stopped as quickly as it appeared.

The monitor infront of flashed: "NECK INJURY", Flensor knew what he had to do. The dummies neck had to be completely straight as he turned it around so that it's back was facing the ceiling this is a extremely important procedure to do because if the neck is moved in the wrong direction the victim may be faced with paralysis or even death, but one problem, he had no one to help him with that. The instructor looked at the holscreen and then said, "Desk Number Thirty Two, I will be helping you with the turning." The instructor walked up towards Flensor's desk and placed his two palms onto the dummy's head, his palms was placed right above the ears. Flensor looked at the instructor and said, Flensor grabbed the dummy's right forearm and the dummy's left arm, he looked at the instructor and said, "On three, one.. two.. three." Flensor rolled the dummy as slow as possible as the instructor aligned the dummy's head to it's virtual spinal cord, after fifteen seconds of slow and percise moving, the dummy was on it's back. The instructor continued to hold onto the dummy's head, still keeping it aligned to the spine, Flensor crouched down and opened the desk's cabinet compartment that was attached to the bottom of it. He grabbed a small towel which was already wrapped up and placed it under the dummy's chin, which made it's head level to it's spine. The monitor glowed green and displayed: "Stabilization Portion... Complete." Flensor nodded at the instructor and he went back to his desk, overseeing the rest of the class. Flensor looked around the room and saw the students doing many other different things, one was placing a triage tag on the dummy and another was dressing a dummy's leg. His monitor hummed, indicating the next part of the test had begun.

Flensor's monitor displayed: "Please place dummy back into default position.", he grabbed the towel and placed it back into the opened compartment, after that, he placed the dummy back into it's original position. The monitor emanated a green glow and displayed: "Minor cut on the patient's right palm three inches deep, please dress the wound." The skin on the dummy's right hand was torn off by small bots within the arm and the space that was once skin turned red and started to ooze blood. Flensor remembered from his classes that he had to let the wound bleed a little so that it can remove any loose dirt particles, but since this was in a controlled environment, all he had to do was wash the hand off with clean water and soap to remove any bacteria or dirt. He grabbed a small bottle of water and a bottle with a pump attached to it labeled: "LIQUID SOAP". He sprayed the liquid soap and rubbed the soap around the wound, he placed the bottle back into the compartment and opened up the water bottle. He poured the water over the wound, causing the blood to mix with it and flow down the dummy's hand, dripping onto a plate that was next to it's hand. Flensor grabbed a small roll of gauze bandage and a bacta bandage that was around the size of the wound from the compartment and placed the bacta bandage onto the wound and afterwards wrapped it around the dummy's hand, the gauze and bandage that was covering the wound turned a pinkish color, contrasting from the white gauze around it. The monitor glowed green again and displayed: "Dressing Portion Complete, please leave the gauze on the dummy's hand and prepare for the final stage."

He looked at the monitor and examined it's vitals, he had not noticed this before but the BPM and mmHg had risen. This was probably due to the fact that the heart was trying to compensate for the loss of blood by pumping out more blood at a faster rate. The monitor glowed orange and displayed: "Final Portion: Triage, you will be displayed five scenarios and you are to place the proper triage tag on the dummy when told so. Please grab the triage tags from the compartment and then press the red button when ready." Flensor grabbed four tags with a electromagnetic layer on the flip side of them, the tags were all colored in a different color, one was Green one was Yellow, one was Red, and the other one was Black. Each color had a different meaning, Green symbolized those who had minor wounds, aka the "Walking Wounded", Yellow symbolized those who required medical attention within six hours or their condition would become life threatening, Red symbolized those who were in need of immediate attention, their wounds were life threatening and if they weren't treated immediately they would die.  The last color, Black, symbolized the dead, pretty self-explanatory. Flensor pressed the red button on the side of the monitor and it glowed orange as it started to display text.

"Victim has been subjected to minor blunt force to the arms and legs, victim appears to be breathing and blood pressure and beats per minute is normal. Assign the victim a triage tag." Flensor gave out a "pfft" sound and placed the green tag onto the dummy's torso. The monitor glowed green and then displayed the text: "Victim has been hit by a slug point black in the windpipe, victim does NOT appear to be breathing, further vitals cannot be displayed." Flensor pondered for a moment about his choices, he could choose the Red triage tag but the victim may have already died due to lack of oxygen to the brain, or he could of chose Black but the victim may of still be alive and of been left there to die. He sighed and placed the Black triage tag onto the dummy's forehead, the monitor glowed yellow and the text showed: "Your answer is correct, either the Black triage or Red triage would of been appropriate for the situation, due to the fact that the creators of the test failed to include vitals and the freshness of the wound. If the wound was fresh and the vitals had shown the heart was beating, your answer would of been wrong, but if the wound wasn't fresh and the heart was NOT beating, you would of been correct." He chuckled at the monitor, knowing the instructor was typing this out to him and pressed the red button, the monitor glowed orange and displayed: "Victim has been shot in the right upper leg, victim appears to be breathing and it's blood pressure and bpm is high. Assign the victim a tag." Flensor knew this one easily, although the wound appears to be minor, it could become infected and become a serious issue. He placed the Yellow triage tag onto the dummy's right leg and the monitor glowed green. It then displayed: "Please remove all triage tags from the dummy and prepare for the final scenario." Flensor easily removed the tags from the dummy and placed them back onto the desk. The monitor then displayed the following text: "Victim has been subjected to moderate blunt force to the head and neck area, victim's breathing appears to be shallow and the blood pressure and bpm is abnormally high." This victim may have been subjected to damage to the windpipe, causing breathing to be a bit hard, and the damage to the head may of caused a blood hemorrhage which causes the heart to try to pump blood to the wound to try to stop the brain from shutting down. Besides all of this reasons for putting the Red triage tag, it was also the only one that wasn't chosen. Flensor grabbed the tag and placed it onto the dummy's neck, the monitor glowed green and displayed: "Congratulations Senior Crewman Rogers, you have passed the Corpsman test, head towards your instructor for your documents."

The instructor looked up towards Flensor and then looked back down onto his desk, he started to write in a datapad. Flensor walked away from his desk, leaving the triage tags where they were, and towards the instructor's desk. The instructor handed Flensor the datapad and said, "Congratulations, you get to get shot at while trying to save a man's life." Flensor chuckled and grabbed the datapad, giving him a sloppy salute and walking out of the classroom.
