We're moving now to the new speciality system. No one has actually made any effort to help me with the new system so it's going to be something of a gradual roll out.

Edit your squads roster so that you are on (I have shown an example and done Raiders. You need to tell me what you think you should be awarded based on your existing specialities and what you want to work on next. post this information on here as well!

One you have done this I will let you know what you have been awarded, which can go in your ID line in the format shown on the spec table e.g. (1.1) for urban combat.


Not all the spec pages are done and the Prestige classes are still being worked on. As you request specs I will work on them in that order.

I will remind people now that as a stormtrooper you get a standard load out of weapons, if you want anything else you need to spec to go with it!

Right, we're currently going through and finishing things off as we go, as well as reorganizing the mass of information currently on the wiki. So, some new links for you.

You should visit the Army Specialization Program homepage before you do anything else.

Then, as Raziel said, check out this page on getting started.

Once you've read both those pages thoroughly, and assuming you don't have any further questions (which you probably will), go ahead and edit the trooper's specialties page appropriately.

Everything else previously stated still applies. As Raz said, any questions you have should be posted here.

Beta has requested A3 Pilot: Shuttles.

He has completed the requirements (I am deciding this on a case by case basis atm) and may start the story requirements immediately.


You should all take your time with the new stories and have them proof read if possible. In the old system you could chuck up tonnes of piss poor posts to get your spec. No Longer.

As you do more spec stories I expect to see progression, for example I dont expect your first ancillary spec story to be an epic, but I will come down hard on mistakes to a prestige spec story.

Firstly, the story post requirement. Does it mean that for Ancillary specs you have to do 5 story posts before your first story, and then ten more or simply make your total number of story posts 10.

And how do we translate our current number of story posts into what specs we can begin? If I have done, say, 40 story posts, can I do an Ancillary, level 1 and level 2 already, because the total posts needed for the three stories is 35 altogether?

And the weeks begin from the previous spec. being finished, correct?

Every set of requirements is from the point when you qualified for your previous speciality. I'm only counting back as far as the start of the hsc, but any previous specs can be translated to the new system

I think I have the answer, but i thought i'd check this.  May we use certification-requiring equipment in the story which we need to complete for it (eg. use flash grenades in the urban combat story) or do we just gain the ability to use them after the story?

EDIT: also, when are the rest of the specialty pages on the wiki goin to be completed?  I don't really want to choose a spec until i can compare all of them.

It'll be a fairly slow process, which specs were you looking at? The main combat ones have at least a basic outline.

And to answer your first questions, yes

Ancillary skills are minor skills. Essentially they are complementary skills that go along with the regular specialty. Some of them don't exactly involve combat, but they help to round out your character and make them more specialized for non combat situations. Hope that helps Mox. I'm not exactly the holder of knowledge on this, but it's how I see the ancillary skills.

My character has significant experience in Heavy weapons and Sniper rifles in his backstory. Does this contribute to his current skill set, or do you have to get the Heavy weapons and Sharpshooter specialisations before you can use them in stories?

Well, my character has a long history of Slicing experience and she would Slice on missions even before she got the official certification. But then again I don't even know if I was allowed to do that. No body said anything, though >.>

I noticed that A12 (animal handling) doesn't have activity Requirements so I presume it’s a level 0 correct? Also there is nothing or very little in the Description, Skills Gained and Equipment Certifications areas. So how am I to proceed from here?

1. I would assume that it would be level 0, yes.

2. Either make it up as you go along, or, well, make it up as you go along. If you do decide to do that one, it'd be helpful to add what you know to the wiki to flesh it out in case others happen to try that spec in the future.

Hope this helps a bit. If anyone else knows better, feel free to correct me as I'm not exactly knowledgeable in this area
