I'll be posting mission objectives here for quick-reference.

OOC:

We’re moving into Death Valley! Woo-hoo! This will be a major turning point in our story, and when things really begin to pick up. So, now, mission-time.

Raiders - You’ll be getting flamethrowers (awesome, right?) to burn down this forest ahead of us. Don’t worry, Earth Day was like...three weeks ago. Anyway, you’ll be flushing out the natives, so expect lots of fighting as they jump out. Just gun ‘em down, if you can, but always remember...they are NOT cannon fodder. Don’t be gunning down thirty of them single-handedly.

Iron Horse - You’ll be leaving with an Alpha Platoon Scout squad (made of snipers) and using your whisper sniper rifles to set up a post on the cliff. Your job is to find a naviagable pass down the cliff for our half-tracks, and then set up a sniper spot to pick off as many barbarians as you can find. You may mention The Sniper, but you may not actually see him. Remember, we don’t know he exists yet. He’s using a custom, silenced rifle, so even if he started, I dunno, picking you guys off, you wouldn’t hear it.

Wraith - With arguably the most degrading mission, your job is to rush to the cliff behind Iron Horse, and make your way down as they find a pass. Once they’re in a sniper position though, you’ll be heading into the forest to try and lure out locals. Fun stuff. Don’t die

Just new intructions. Expect Page 3 scores soon-ish. And then 4 after that. God knows what I'll do when you people hit 5 and 6. Just...keep up the good work. I like the enthusiasm thusfar into the comp.

OOC:

A short (if somewhat...incoherent-ish) post to counterbalance my long, articulate last post.

Squad objectives are as thus:

Wraith: Take the mortar teams up the hill, avoiding outlying enemy patrols and rogue elements, and try to get some heavy fire down on the forces below.

Iron Horse: Repel, repel, repel. Get down into the thick of the action and keep them off of the convoy. Rember, these guys are tough. They are uber-humans, much stronger, faster, and larger than regulars. Think wookie-sized except more awesome. Heavy weapons should be applied liberally.

Raiders: They’re coming from somewhere. Find out where and find a way to stop it, if able. If not, well, take as many as you can out and find a place to provide sniper cover on the convoy.

Remember, we’re in the thick of a battle. This should be a short, battlefield mission. That means not too many posts and such. Details on an end date are TBD.

Also, while I have my soapbox, might as well clear up some misconceptions:

Barbarians ARE human. They are extremely large humans. They are well-muscled, beyond normal human ability, and armed to the teeth (literally). Think...Germanic tribes. Celtish. Uhh...the guys from Braveheart without all the mooning the enemy stuff.

The Army Regulars are NOT stormtroopers. I saw this more in artwork than writing, but I figured a few people had confused it. This is the army. Clicky. (just look at the pictures)

It's definitely not so neck and neck any more. Iron Horse and Wraith need to pick up the slack. Raiders is beating both of y'all in number of posts, and that's causing you to fall behind! Work! Post! Catch the lead! Iron Horse especially; at this point, it's mainly just the lack of posting that's holding you back (six posts down is not good!). That doesn't mean post filler posts. Just try to post more often.

Final ending post (of Doom) to be posted tonight, most likely. Most likely because, as none of you may know, I'll be out all next week starting tomorrow morning and, therefore, will have a bit of trouble posting the end post during that time. Yeeeeaaaaahh...more bad planning and keeping this story running for so long. Final grades should be out next week. Awards and promotions will happen that week or the week after, depending on how long it takes to sort through them all.

Our objectives were done Thursday with my last post. I went out of town Friday at noon, so anything that should of happened since then was out of my hands.
