No, I said you COULD use an NPC, but this is for whoever you want to.
Write with your main character if you want  In only said that I don't want stories to take place in the past, much like our squad stories, this is present time. Not ten years of 5 years ago.
Ibram, Category 2 is for writers who compete with eachother for one story. 5 people for example will email me the same story, and I will choose the best one. You can compete in both obviously, the categories is just 2 ways of doing it, category one will be easier, that

WHICH REMINDS ME. in order to ensure fairness, you can only post one bounty story a day. You cant post two targets/stories. This is to make sure that those who signs on late or is on other time zones, also has a chance.

Everything takes place in the ambiguously gray area between chapters. Where it happens in your characters timeline, or if it does at all, is mostly dictated by how you want to run your character.

Personally, I think NPCs are better because what if your character was never a bounty hunter / smuggler and never had an interest in such? Alright, there have already been some questions involving varying aspects of the Category 1 bounties, so let's see if I can't clear some things up and/or make some stuff up on the spot.
For starters, can you 'call' a story? Yes and no. Feel free to post a 'place keeper' on the StoryNet, but your story better be up in 24 hours, otherwise it's free game. And while we're on that subject, you DO post your stories on the StoryNet.
Don't forget the word limit! All Category 1 stories must be at least 500 words. And watch your spelling, as that can also lead to reductions in the bounty you receive. Horrible grammar -may- also result in fines, it just depends on how whoever reads your story feels.
This post will be edited with clarifications as questions arise, so keep an eye out. If you have any questions/comments/concerns, feel free to PM Aeos or myself or catch either of us on IRC.
