Well I've put this off for a long time, but it just keeps bugging me...

In my opinion the main page for the VEwiki is too plain, it has no pictures, no icons, and no banner... I realize that simplicity is efficiency, but would it really kill us to put a nice banner across the top of the page that we can all feel proud of?

Here's what I suggest: a contest. Whoever designs the best banner that symbolizes the VE best (with some wiki-ness about it) gets to see their banner up at the top. Perhaps if there are more than one banner that is acceptable they could be switched every now and then (using a picture of the day template or such)

Maybe the higher ups could throw in a few perks as well? I really think that we need something there...

Personally I think it stays a little more organized without an image, but I guess a well done image could help, although I dunno how many possibilities actually exist.

What I would like to see however is a more creative logo for the wiki, perhaps actually using the VE insignia rather than the 'standard' Imperial one.
