  Albino's Personal stories

Albino walked into the hangar. A droid Tri-Fighter was floating, repulsors engaged, but not engines. His blasters were rotating slowly. They centred on Albino and the Tri landed, a harsh, synthetic voice sounded;
"Albino! I’ve been waiting for an age, can we get going yet?"
The reply came from Albino,
"Yeah, we're off now, you feeling any better?".
The Tri made a noise which sounded like something between a growl and a low pitch howl,
"no, and why did you let that fool engineer... upgrade me?".
Albino looked at the floor during this scolding, and muttered passively
"He seemed to know what he was doing... anyways, let’s get going, Bane".
The central ball in the fighter split open, revealing a chair and a few computer screens. Albino Climbed into the seat, and fixed his flight helmet on, he then strapped numerous belts over himself, making sure he was both secure and comfortable. The belts were lined with polyester, and the seat was lined with the same material. A voice crackled over the intercom just above his head,
"Are you in...OK, closing".
And with that the sphere snapped shut. The screens flashed on, and the seat hunkered down, and made a series of clicking noises, like locks shutting. The Whole ship shuddered, and then lifted a few inches off the floor, then accelerated. Once it had left the hangar of the Star Destroyer, it slowed down, and a voice came over the intercom.
" Where are we headed?".
There were three buttons on the side of the arm of the chair, one red, one blue and one green. Albino pushed the blue one, and from the other arm of the chair, a keyboard and fingerpad pops up, and rotates to sit on front of him, another support emerges from the first side of the chair to hold the keyboard still. One of the monitors in front of Albino flicks to a white screen with a series of different icons. Albino scrolls to and clicks on the icon that looks like a small map and a picture of the galaxy takes over the screen. Albino typed in 'Balmorra' in the search box and a small information box popped up with co-ordinates, and an ETA, Which Albino read aloud into the intercom. Albino then pressed the blue button again, and sat back in his chair. Once the keyboard was away, albino double-tapped the red button and all the monitors locked back and turn off, a neck rest also protrudes from behind Albino, and he shouted
"Ready, whenever you are, that's definitely the place".
Upon this there was a muffled response from Bane, and the fighter accelerated, faster and faster. the stars visible to Albino were now a blur, and suddenly, everything he could see slowed down for a millisecond, and then flashed past, all merging into one single blur. Albino loved watching the stars as he entered hyperspace, and then the sleep gas that has hissed out during the jump kicked in, and Albino slumped slightly, and his eyes shut.

Albino woke up as the fighter braked suddenly, he felt his whole body push forwards against the safety belts, innards and all. They were in front of a medium-sized planet, with a few orbital shipyards visible. As they had emerged from hyperspace, two Vulture droids had taken position on both flanks of Bane, and they didn't seem to notice Albino sat in the central sphere. After a few seconds of interaction, the two vultures took up a reverse arrowhead position with Bane, and the three flew towards one of the orbital shipyards. Albino inquired through the comm channel
"What was that all about and where are we going?”.
The reply came smugly back
"they wanted to know who i was and why i was here, so i relayed them all the relevant information. We are en route to the repai..."
Bane had been cut short. Albino thought it was due to the two Lucrehulk carrier ships. It wasn't. Albino soon realised why. His eyes followed as the 2 fighter escorts peeled off, oblivious to the fact that they had completely forgotten about Bane and himself. When bane followed suit, he realised what was going on. A Mon Cal Cruiser had just hypered in, possibly following them from Vast Empire space. it was covered by swarms of ageing Z-95 Headhunters. His first thought was New Republic, but he realised they used T-65s now, and A-wings, so who were these people? Bane’s scanners soon uncovered the truth. The ships were marked as one of the Hutt cartels. Here we go thought Albino, and he knew why they were here. For him. It was a revenge killing, as he had betrayed them to the Vast Empire during his training. The various neutral droid craft were on an intercept course with the fighters, and as Albino watched, on one of the screens that had now activated, behind him, the Lucrehulk carriers opened their hangar doors, and weapons emplacements emerged from hidden positions. These droids were taking no chances. A voice broke Albino's concentration;
"The cruisers have told me what is what, Albino, and the ships want you! Unfortunately for them, however, the operators of these droids wish to take a look at me, so they'll give us a hand."
Albino knew why they were really doing this. The fighters would most likely attack them as well, so they could have access to a fleet of droid starfighters. This help would also mean that Albino would owe them a favour. He had dealt with their type before. Bane continued.
"We are to dock on one of the operator's carrier ships, where you will be given a fighter more what you are used to. We will then help engage the enemy fighters. during the dogfight, we will attempt to engage the Mon cal cruiser with our bombers, leaving the remaining enemy fighters without command."
Albino agreed with this plan, and they throttled toward the closest friendly carrier ship.

The fighter albino was given was a TIE Interceptor. The interceptors piloted by this group were modified, sporting a new paint job, as well as no missiles. no missiles means less weight, which means more manoeuvrability, and faster speeds. Albino was fine with this, he rarely used missiles anyway. He accelerated out of the hangar, accompanied by Bane. They boosted towards the dogfight that was going on. Suddenly, over a private com channel, a mechanical voice shouted
"Albino! Bandit on your tail!"
Albino and Bane split apart, and then quickly crossed each other in the shape of an X, which gave Bane a chance to fire a flurry of repeating blaster shots at the Z-95, obliterating it. Excellent Albino thought Albino. They needed to be on the same page to survive this. Albino and Bane then completed the turn, and were met with yet more fighters. One flew between them, closely followed by one on either side of them. Both groups then turned to face each other. Albino boosted towards the Headhunters at speed, while Bane swung in low underneath him, to cover his alternate side. Albino squeezed off a round of laser fire, which tore one of the ancient Headhunters apart, then peeled off to his right. At this point, Bane also turned, and rose up as he loosed another volley on the underbelly of the second bandit, piercing the weak armour, and killing the pilot instantly. Albino slowed down, to match the peed of the last Z-95. As the bandit caught up with him, Albino veered to his left and then cut a wide circle clockwise, catching the Headhunter in his turn. Just as albino was about to cut off his repulsors for hi favourite aerial flip, the Headhunter slipped into a shallow dive. Albino, sensing a basic flight manoeuvre, banked down and around, his nose pointing to the underbelly of the now-ascending bandit let loose a burst of fire, tearing through one of the wings, and cutting out the bandit's dive, causing it to split off to one side and allowing the incoming Bane to fire a few shots through the cockpit, killing the pilot.
"C'mon Albino, we've been re-routed to protect the bombers."
Albino muttered something along the lines of 'Affirmative' and they disengaged from the extremely one-way fight. As they met up with the bombers, Albino realised the true power of their 'Allies'. They were fighting off an invasion-fleet sized force of fighters, without even breaking a sweat. The assault squad neared the Mon cal cruiser as it opened fire on them. Its heavy turbolasers were too heavy to be any danger to fighters or bombers, but it was still a deterrent, and a last defiant act of whoever was piloting the cruiser. A group of Headhunters had obviously been informed of the incoming Bombers, as a group of seven broke off from the main battle and headed towards them. There were fighters in the assault force, escorting 5 bombers. The other fighter was a Tri Fighter, modified, but not as heavily as Bane. The bombers continued on, but Albino, Bane and the other Tri turned to engage the Hostiles. The Tri fired off two concussion missiles, which both hit the lead fighter of the opposing group. The two flights passed through each other. Bane, with his targeting systems, had hit and killed two. Albino and the tri both scored killing hits, but the Headhunters focused their fire on the Tri, destroying it. This released the Buzz droids on one of the Headhunters, which was hijacked, and kamikaze'd into the Mon cal. When Albino and Bane turned to face the enemy group, they were hot on the tails of the bombers, and only 2 were left. Albino and Bane quickly gave chase. They were so fast in comparison to the old Headhunters that they nearly overshot them. A pair of barrel roles let them gain a great position on the Headhunters, and a flurry of laser fire later, the bombers were clear, save the random fire of the Mon cal cruiser. By now, Albino and Bane were getting bored of this domination. Although they were perfectly contented with a landslide victory, the Mandalorian instinct in Albino, and Bane's programming meant they were always ready for a challenge. As they caught up with the bombers, they were wondering what was going on. Most Hutts were rich enough to afford decent starfighters, and they were not the type to use Mon Cal Cruisers.

The Bombers had successfully destroyed the engines and the majority of weapons on the Cruiser when the two Lucrehulks engaged it. Albino and Bane were mopping up the few remaining enemy fighters. They were almost untouched by the battle. The combined fire of a new couple of squadrons of bombers, and the two Lucrehulk cruisers easily disabled The Mon Cal, and boarding parties found that the ship had the most minimal of crew. Most of the crew consisted of droids, and the few living creatures on board were a combination of ugly Hutts, and various other depraved slaves. The Hutts were themselves on the verge of death. Once the Vast Empire had learned of the criminal activity of this cartel, information provided by Albino, they began an aggressive campaign against This Hutt cartel. In one final battle, the Hutts had enlisted the help of the New republic, whose aversion of the Vast Empire is well known. in a furious firefight, the Empire's fleet was forced into a retreat, and the New Republic had turned on the small Hutt fleet. The ensuing naval battle was short. The Hutts had managed to board a Republican cruiser, and jettisoned many of it's crew members. However, the Republic returned the favour, capturing almost all the other Hutt ships. The captured Mon Cal Cruiser had then fled the battle, with only a bare minimum of supplies, and all of the remaining free Hutts money, from this cartel. These Hutts were, however, very rich. They docked at a series of spaceports, recruiting mercenaries, and equipping them with basic equipment. Numbers was the name of the game in this case, and the Hutts bought as many Starfighters and pilots as they could for their meagre funds. They then began the process of tracking Albino down, attacking him as soon as they found him. Unfortunately for them, however, the droid operators took it personally. This was all admitted in the interrogation chamber of the command Lucrehulk.

Once the battle had ended, Albino took down the details of the Group that had helped him, so that he could put up a recommendation for a civilian commendation, and hopefully open trade negotiations with them. Finally, they also did what albino came for, and installed an extremely advanced uplink, giving Bane a small ability to hack other droid craft, and some simple starfighters. They also installed a powerful, constantly adaptive firewall. This group was a splinter faction of the CIS, called the Confederacy of Unified Engineers, or CUE.

As Albino and bane exited the Command Lucrehulk, Albino sat back, and said quietly
"Bane, you know that Hut said that there were still remnants of the cartel? Do you think they’re watching us too?"
Bane replied, in a dismissive tone
" Albino, if they were, would they not have joined in the attack on us? That was the last remnant of your former oppressors, the rest are in the New Republican prisons."
Albino sighed at this comment and plotted a course for Abrae, in the Vectra system, also currently known as home for Albino and Bane, but as they leapt into hyperspace, another small fighter followed suit. This small fighter was covered in sensors equipment, and also had a large laser cannon on the front of it. it was definitely keeping tabs on the modified TRI-Fighter.
