While this is nice, and its one of those things that I won't try to write myself, but there are a couple of things that I would like to change about it.

One, when you change the font size, the drop down does not revert back to normal.  This means that to select another font, or to select the same font, you have to select something that you don't want, it puts the size into message area and then you get to select the font size that you really want.

I know that the reason that the ComNet was written from scratch was, well, because it was a challenge.  But there are many libraries that are available now.  I would recommend using the YUI library http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/.  It currently allows you to create form fields that have HTML in them, not bbcode, but it shouldn't be too hard to strip out all of the tags that you don't want to be in there (JavaScript).  I'm sure you're already doing it. 

Font color -

After I select a font color, the boxes should disappear.

Imperial Image Gallery -

I would be nice to get rid of this unless I want it to be there.  It would be nice to only have those show up on the screen if I want to add those values.  The can be brought in the HTML, but should be display: none unless I select drop down or insert an image.

Options -

Message Icon -

Since Drop down menus can now contain icons (or at least the JavaScript versions can) we should replace the radio button with a nice drop down.  Decreases the amount of screen real estate.

Check Spelling & Preview -

This really only seams to check the spelling, not preview.

Message Center New Message Count-

When I only have one message in the message center.  I click to view it, the list of messages in my inbox still says that I have one unread message.  This should say 0 (i.e. no number in parenthesis next to the Inbox value).

Message Center Reply-

When replying to a message, it places an Re: in front of the subject.

When replying to a reply of a message, it still places an Re: in front of the subject.

The Re: should only be there once.  Otherwise I will end up with a subject titled:

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:  My Message here.

Enhancements -

Would be nice to:
  be able to use images from Picasa Web.
  be able to have header tags instead of having to do this all by hand
  be able to collapse the preview at the top of the page.
