This is to be the new home of the revitalized Reaper unit.  Details of the reforms to this unit have started to come out and will be disseminated to everyone in the Navy Friday evening.  We will be opening up the 4-man unit for people to submit applications to fill the open slots (I am still confirming if there will be 1 or 2 open slots as former Reaper members have the option to remain within the unit as it starts).

In terms of an outline of where this unit is going, Reaper has been converted from privateer operations to covert operations within Vast Empire Intelligence.  Primarily this unit will be involved in operations that get people out of the cockpit, which I think will be exciting news to many.  The objective is both to provide a second-line of story writing and character development to our most active members and best writers, as well as an incentive for others to get into that elite group, and as a test for future possible secondary storyline options (such as a marines unit).

The key to this is that the core squadron base of the Navy will remain intact.  No one will be removed from a squadron in order to participate in Reaper.  It is very important for the navy that the best people remain in squadron positions to help bring the new recruits into the fold, and share their experiences and skill with others.

Friday the application process will begin.  When that happens, everyone who wishes to apply will have one week to submit the necessary requirements (sorry no hint until Friday ) to me via comnet pm.  The successful applicants will be announced Sunday November 30, and an initial story for the unit will begin within that week.

For stories, we will try a different planning concept.  I will not be designing every story on my own for the unit.  It is expected that, given the skill of the members in the unit, stories will be planned collaboratively to maximize both fun, and character development opportunities.  The point of Reaper is to provide an opportunity to experiment and learn collaboratively within a cohesive framework created by me.

I hope you all give this some thought during the week in preparation for the beginning of the application process.

If you can have it by about Wednesday that would be great (if you can't until week's end that will work, but then I really want to get started).  The same goes from Ibram.  In fact, I would appreciate it if Jolinar and Bacredi could also do this so that my first story post will accurately reflect your characters.

I call sniper

Due to his background, Ibram would probably be best at mechanic's stuff/explosives.

He also personally flew many types of vehicales before enlisting, so I dunno if that qualifies as a 'good' driver. He doesn't have any points on his license though :P

As a more 'secondary skill', he can blend into crowds because of his on/off reserved nature.

Physical capabilities Ibram?  I know from your wiki that your character isn't in the greatest shape, but if you can elaborate on some of the points I raised that would be great.

Whilst Ibram isn't in 'top physical form' as it were, he still works out a bit and his personal life involves a lot of ... 'activities' at the moment. He is natually a bit on the thin side anyway, but he's about average in the 'physical capabilites' department, but quite good.

He gets mild joint pains in the cold though :P

Zhar Bacredi is a tall human male, not necessarily muscular but can throw a good punch if needed.

Able to shadow people in good intent, Zhar Bacredi can fit into a crowd with ease.

Zhar Bacredi was born without intent, and can easily follow orders.

Bacredi is cocky, nothing but it. Due to his background he would be a good follower guy
