All right, here's the low down on this award. Sorry I haven't typed this post up any sooner, and don't blame either of my adjutants because the information on the academy site isn't up-to-date - that's my fault, too. Anyway, this very prestigious award will be given to the best pilot in the Navy based on performance in the six Navy games supported on the Battleboard: Rebellion, Galactic Battlegrounds, XWA Combat and Melle, XvT Combat and Furball. As is stated on the academy website, the winner of this award will be officially recognized as THE BEST PILOT in the Navy (multiplayer wise, anywhow). However, after a time period that has not yet been established, other pilots may challenge the winner in attempts to steal the award away from them. The number of challenges allowed by each pilot and overall each week/month will be determind at a later date as well - after we have our first winner. The first winner of the award will be able to keep the status a whole month without being challenged - and if possible, will be promoted as well. Now, this is how the competition will be run. To participate, you must be signed up on the Battleboard. Sunday, during the meeting, I copied down the scores of every pilot currently enlisted on the battleboard in all six categories and also wrote down the number of points they have. The two pilots who gain the most points over the next month will face-off in a best two out of three match to determine the winner of the UCPA. The game they play will be totally up to the two of them, though if they cannot decide, I will do it for them. So, all you have to do is keep doing what you're doing - participating in games on the Battleboard. Now, don't get mad at me for not letting you submit scores from the WoW or Zone play, but that's too many screenshots for me to deal with. This makes it easier to judge since there's already a working system and it's easier for me to monitor. If you have any major complaints, please e-mail me; there is a possibility I will change my mind about some things. Just get out there and play and four weeks from yesterday I will announce who the final two contestants are. No more out of me until then except through e-mail, or privately on IRC.
