But the fact of the matter is that the HALO series, and the COD series are two INDIVIDUAL series.

Sure they are both under the same genre of FPS but both run on separate engines and have very different and distinct styles of game play, Only a fool would try and compare both series saying one was better then the other.

BUT, since the COD series is almost purely a PC based series.. and seeing that the HALO series is almost purely a Console based series.. one thing is clear


CONSOLE FPS'S SUCK EPICLY...

Because everyone knows Halo should of been a PC game first and a Console game Second.

COD a PC based FPS? Tell that to the eighty thousand or so that play CoD4 on the 360 at any given moment in time.

I have to agree with Jeg on this one... CoD is most DEFINITELY a Console based game.

And PC shooters are harder to master, in my opinion. Too many keys... and my wrist can't move fast enough to catch up with the computer. (NO WRIST JOKES)

Where as double, if not triple play it over the "Normal" Internet at any given time.

When one takes into account that the first COD was released for the PC first, and then later versions (Knock off versions *Big red one, Cod3 *) were finally put onto consoles (Excluding cod4).

Take a look back at all the great FPS of this Era, COD 1, BF2, BF1942, the original Rainbow six games, Quake, Doom, Stalker, Wolfenstein, Counterstrike and the god of them all Half-Life, All of these were for the PC.. all of these were awesome. I admit, occasionally you get a console FPS game that is awesome (GOLDEN EYE for the N64, Killzone, Halo, Time splitters) But these are few and far between. I think without a doubt FPS games were made for the PC and are only ported to the consoles to make quick cash.

I for one would much rather pick up and play a game where shooting wasn't a challenge.. Hell if you play as much FPS games as i do shooting is never a challenge... Its shooting at other people who are as good if not better then you which makes it challenging. Working out game play tactics and methods that will get you to the top of the board is the challenge. Whats the point of playing a game where it requires months of practice to master shooting?


(Halo is possibly the only FPS game to transcend the Console/PC barrier, but... It was better on PC)

Thats only true for computer fps players who are used to the simplicity of putting the mouse cursor on somethings eye before shooting at it. But I'm not complaining. If consoles had a way to shoot whereby I could only miss 10% of my shots at the very most, I would probably use it everytime.
