Hola boys and girls, with the most recent promotions and position changes I want to take this moment to encourage all of you to update your Wikis. Sounds easy right? Well if you have been keeping it up to date it should be.
Any (active) Navy members whose Wiki pages I deem 'updated' by Monday March 17th will receive 10,000 ICs out of my pocket.What do I consider updated? They must meet the following requirements.
- This
TEMPLATE must be used and filled out to the best of your ability. Adding extra sections is also acceptable.
- Rank, position, etc. must be updated to your current status.
For those who have no wiki page to speak of, please following the following steps:
- Register your callsign on the Wiki in order to gain editing privleges.
- Type your callsign (or character's name, whichever you want your page name to be) into the search box and press enter.
- Click the red link, "create an article with this title"
- Open the above template in another window, select "Edit" (at the top) and copy the code.
- Paste it into your page's editor and make edits where needed.
For those of you who already have a Wiki page, but it does not fit the template.:
- Copy the code of the template page and paste it in front of the old code in the editor.
- Use the info from your old page to make the changes you need to.
- When you finish with a piece of info from your old page, delete that old section. Repeat until none of your old page exists.
The main reasons I am running this is to firstly, make the Navy's Wiki look better overall; secondly, give member profiles a uniform appearance; and lastly, I plan (with some help) to update member's post counts and placing them all in their respective members Wiki pages. This will be much easier if all members actually have Wiki pages as well as the Post Count template.
Please post here when you have updated your Wiki and I will go check it/reward you.You may also post any questions you have.
