I'm not exactly new but I was told to post a thread since I have been absent for a while. I also need information on what is needed to finish BT.

Welcome to the Imperial Naval Academy (VENA), Stormz. I am the Officer of Training (TO) and I, along with Training Executive Officer (TX), Tomas, our final Trainer, C-3PX2, and our only operator, Ibram Tyrol, will be taking you through our training system, known as Basic Training (BT). The four of us staff members make up what is known as the academy staff (VENA-S). We like our abbreviations, huh? Don't give up yet! The good part's just ahead! You've actually already finished the first portion, known as Imperial Initiation (II)- you really just had to find your way here and make a thread to do that, though. The second half is a bit more challenging and is known as Flight School (FS)- here you'll learn about the basic of flight, your equipment and what it takes to be an active member of one of our fighter groups. If you'll visit Flight School and take a look at Chapter 1 entitled "Character Creation," you'll be well on your way to completing the first portion of FS. Once you've got a bio written up, simply post it here and one of our trainers will be along to post their comments and further instructions. In the meantime, if you're looking to get idea of our club and its members, I highly encourage you to explore the rest of the ComNet and jump onto our IRC server, via either our free chat applet (jIRC) or the downloadable version known as mIRC. Either way, I hope the best to ya in the future here, Stormz; welcome to the Imperial Naval Academy.

Hey Stormz,
Welcome back. It's unfortunate to have to put you through this again, but it'll make the whole thing easier in the long run.
Shazam has already given the basics to you in his first post, but I'm going to amend it slightly, since you are a special case:
Basically, just go through Chapters I II and III and post them up as soon as you can, and we'll mark them all at once, if you pass, you can take the exam and we'll get you into a squadron.
So, first things first - Bio
Then post up some flight manouvres, and your report.

Physical Description:
Full Name: Ph'rranix Krazanr
Species: Wookie
Homeworld: Kashyyyk
Native Language: Wookie, but with a speech impediment that makes it
easier for other species to understand
Height: 7'9"
Weight: 586 lbs
Age: 27
Eye color: Red
Hair color: Dirty Blonde
Gender: Male
Markings/scars: 3 medium-large ovoid shaped scars on lower right torso.
Previous occupation(s): Bounty Hunter
Skills/Talents: Repairing and flying a wide variety of ships,
marksmanship, melée
Personality:
Ph'rranix has the look of a cold blooded killer to him with a personality to match that expression. He rarely speaks, but when he does it is short and to the point with little regard to how his comrades view his opinion. Ph'rranix is a perfectionist who won't leave a single stone unturned if it may help his assignment. Once he recieves an order/assignment he carries it out with perfect precision and will exert extra energy if he feels his comrades are falling behind.
On the other hand,Ph'rranix is very easy going and approachable once you have gained his trust. You will fond him light-hearted when not on duty, as he like spending time at the local cantina of whatever planet his assignment takes him to.
History:
Ph'rranix grew up on Kashyyyk, a volatile world for a species who does not have claws to climb with. As a child he showed amazing skill in marksmanship by hunt the prized 'Kroyies' bird, an extravagant meal that only the most wealthy wookies on Kashyyyk could afford at that time. During his teenage years he got a job working for a local mechanic a became skilled at repairing and flying spacecraft also. When he turned 20 Ph'rranix decided to leave his homeworld and become a bounty hunter so as to put his marksmanship and flying skills to proper use. During his career as a bounty hunter, he carded many highly profittable bounties and yet maintained a fairly low profile so as to keep unwanted and unneccasary attention of his back. As Ph'rranix approached his 27th birthday he began contemplating whether he should retire from his current career and become a pilot for the Vast Empire. After much thought however he marched down to the naval headquarters and enlisted so he may recieve vengeance on those rebel and their slaves
allies who enslaved so many of his friends.

Chapter II:
The first manuever I will describe is the offensive split. During this move the man Nearest the bandit(s) flys in combat spread trying to attract the bandits attention while his wingman flys around the back either above or below the bandits depending on the altitude at the start of the battle. He will then climb hard to gain a good attack angle and fire after his wingman is in a safe area.
The second manuever is the 'sandwich'
During this move the first fighter is attacked from behind and his wingman neatly slides behind the attacker for a rear quarter shot while taking caution so as not to hit his wingman with a stray shot.

Alrighty, Stormz- let me your bio first and then we'll get to your other two assignments. First, let me point out that you've chosen to make your character a wookie: that's an interesting choice, and you must know it, lol, because you aptly pointed out that Imperials usually enslave your character's kind. So, where I would usually say "maybe you should re-think how angry your character is," yours actually makes sense. Why? Since your character is a wookiee, any and every place he's gone to reach active duty will have been tough: xenophobes exist everywhere and the only way to really ward off some of the threatening words and actions is to reel back and do the same. If that weren't the case, your character wouldn't make a lot of sense: happy once second, angry brute the next? Stormz- if you can stay true to this character (fun and loving when people you know are around, and yet still kind of bossy), your character could be a lot of fun. Furthermore, he speaks a different language- though the fighters can add in a translator or something, it's going to be interesting seeing how people react when you're out of the fighter. You might wanna see if someone in the group understands wookiee. Developing the explanation as to why you joined the Navy is going to be a good place to look for character development as well- why join the group that enslaved your friends? And I liked the speech impediment touch- you've read the Thrawn series then?
As for the maneuvers: they weren't actually maneuvers, lol, but tactics. However: since they're on the same page, I'll allow 'em and: they work. Just keep in mind that some of these maneuvers won't necessarily work the same way in space; when you lose that atmosphere, you also lose drag, lift and the factors that make certain maneuvers work the way they do.
Your report was short, sweet and to the point, lol. You don't have to pretty them up or anything, but there are actually templates for reports if you'd like to use 'em: they just look better and tend to help you remember everything you need to report. You can find those here.
Otherwise: I think you've completed training, Stormz. If you'll give me just a little bit of time to hammer out where to place you, we'll have you in an active fighter group that can work best for, ya. In the meantime, if you'd like to get to work on your Aviator's Exam or a wiki character profile (walkthrough here), that'd be awesome: those'll really catch you up to the standards of our current VEN practices. Thanks for being patient with the training process, btw- you've done well, Stormz.

Lol yes I have read those I'm actually in the middle of the last one in that particular series and that's where I got my inspiration for a wookie. And thank for taking your time to look at my posts so fast I really appreciate it

Alrighty, Stormz- I've decided we're going to place you in Viper Squadron as Viper 8; I know it's not Nazgul, but seeings how that group is currently full, I won't be placing anyone in there until we're totally out of room again. So, as you might have noticed, we'll be sending you to the "Nazgul: New folks waiting on the old" story topic. The challenge here is to actually write, lol- we haven't been seeing that out of our new recruits, and I'd really prefer to see some guts from somebody for once, so Stormz- show us what ya got, man. And, moreover, get some of the other new recruits involved in your posts if they haven't posted already, namely DanteDevant and Jaron. Otherwise, I fear we may lose our members once again. Thanks for your infinite patience with the training and placing process, Stormz- for your troubles you've been promoted to the rank of Leading Crewman, lol- like I said, it has benefits. And don't forget to get a wiki profile going if you don't already have one- ask question if ya don't! I really hope the best for ya, Stormz; make us proud, son! GIDDY UP!
