Dante Devant Reporting for Duty! *salutes* (lol hi everyone...lol im not new to VE so I just need info on Navy)

Welcome to the Imperial Naval Academy (VENA), Devant.  I am the Officer of Training (TO) and I, along with the Training Executive Officer (TX), Tomas, our final Trainer, C-3PX2, and our only operator, Ibram Tyrol, will be taking you through our training system known as Basic Training (BT).  The four of us staff members make up what is known as the academy staff (VENA-S).  We like our abbreviations, no?  Don't give up yet!  The good part's just ahead!

You've actually already finished the first portion, known as Imperial Initiation (II)- you really just had to find your way here and make a thread to do that, though.  The second half is a bit more challenging and is known as Flight School (FS)- here you'll learn about the basics of flight, your equipment and what it takes to be an active member of one of our fighter groups.  If you'll visit Flight School and take a look at Chapter 1 entitled "Character Creation," you'll be well on your way to completing the first portion of FS.  Once you've got a bio written up, simply post it here and one of our trainers will be along to post their comments and further instructions.  In the meantime, if you're looking to get an idea of our club and its members, I highly encourage you to explore the rest of the ComNet and jump onto our IRC server, via either our free chat applet (jIRC) or the downloadable version known as mIRC.  Either way, I hope the best to ya in the future here, Devant; welcome to the Imperial Naval Academy.

Appearance: Dante is a tall white man who has a very rugged look to him. He sports short light brown hair, he would guess it to be about an inch long, and a 5 o'clock shadow beard. His eyes are frightful, being a pale ice piercing blue. He has almost perfect composure and wears a white tee-shirt with a came flak jacket, unzipped, over top with a baggy camo jeans and a came colored baseball cap. He has three scars on his chest that are at a diagonal from when he was jumped on Anbincer when he was a child by some local drunks. He lost his right arm when he was attacked by a venomous beast on his home world, resulting in him having to have them cut it off. He had it replaced with a metal robotic arm that went all the way up to his shoulder blade and covered his shoulder.


Personality: Dante, having grown up on a cruel and desolate world, is very cold person, but does have streaks of him being nice. He generally shows no obvious signs of pity or remorse no matter what he is doing. He loves to fly above all things and values it more then his own life. He has unquestionable loyalty to the Empire and his comrades, an oath from him is as strong as a wookie life debt. He will only bring out his nice side around those he loves or feels are his close friends, or if he is in a remarkably good mood.

History: (brief, full version will end up on my wiki when I create that) Dante was born on the midrim planet Anbincer. It was a metropolis world with a huge cityscape covering the majority of the planetside. His father left him and his twin sister when they were kids and he has no memories of who he was or what he looked like. His mother loved him dearly but was a single mom and working almost all the time so he had to pretty raise him and his sister by himself. Assuming the dominate male role in the family Dante had to fend off a number of people who would try to harm them. He always had a job to help support his family, even when he was a little kid he would go out and wash hover cars and run messages and other errands to get money. At school he was a good student learning very quickly and there he learned obediently and good posture. When he wouldn't use either he would be severely beaten until he did. He was exceptionally good at fighting, being in them frequently. He had a few good friends who ended up forming a gang-like group they called the Last Chancers. One day when he was about 14 he was walking home from a club when some of his rivals, the Moon Bards, jumped him in a alleyway. It was five against one, but Dante didn't give up and tried fighting back. He punched and kicked and wrestled with them but eventually they got him to the ground and one pulled out a vibro dagger. They ripped his shirt open and started slowly carving into his chest. It took them three minutes to make the first cut, it was very deep and bloody, extremely painful because they cut layer by layer of skin off him. The second one was done in haste as they were afraid they were gonna get caught. After that Dante couldn't take it any more and used all his strengtht to leap up and attack his assailants. He beat three off but the fourth grabbed him and the fifth cut him quickly across the chest, aiming to kill. When the police came they rushed off and Dante was carried away to a hospital. He spent a week in there recovering from the injuries that he had received. All but the cut healed up, the cuts scared him and would stay there for the rest of his life. When he was 16 his mom died during a rebel terrorist attack on an Imperial building she was working in, this was the sole event that caused Dante to join the Empire. After that he was in the volunteers that formed a militia to hunt down the rebels and was on the search party that found the lead base of them. Being to young to actually fight he was ordered to stay in the back and run messages. He saw most of the following fight though from his backward position. He saw for the first time that day a man die, and it brought nothing but pleasure to see if happen. He was glad to see rebel scum die, he wanted so badly to be apart of the fighting and kill on himself. He knew from that moment that the rage against the rebels he would harbor for the rest of his life. He spent the next two years as a spacer, working on a small freighter transporting common goods from planet to planet, send a lot of his money back home to his sister who was now married to his best friend, a Zarbark named Talfo. He had a couple of notable adventures with the cew, including one where he and the crew were captured by pirates and had to fight across their ship into their own and fly off with a dozen fighters chasing them(story will be in the wiki).At the age of 20 he decided he wanted to fly his own ship one day and fight many battles against the rebels who killed his mom. When they stopped on a core planet Dante spontaneously left the crew and went to sign up for the Empire's fine navy.

Main Pet Peeve:
Hates unloyalty, Dante can't stand the idea of people betraying those they swore oaths to

Dislikes: nonalcholic beverages, sour food, cocky rich bastards, and bullies (has a strong sense of justice)

Habits/triats: smokes cigars and drinks a lot, disregards authority when it goes against his morals, and strong sense of justice

Goal/Dreams: kill rebels, become an ace pilot, own a ship and pilot it into war

Heh, when I said expand on IRC ... I just adding a little bit more detail; but its a well done Bio, and i think we can move on.

There also is an assignment to be done, where you pick two manuvers from the Defensive and Offensive page; and in your own words expain what the manuver is, how you would use them, and why you would need to use it.

Well, Darkhawk is 6'3", so and he fits in his fighter just fine.
