Sitting alone at the bar, LCRW Riel Fury looked around at the patrons of the establishment.  A few of them he recognized: Zed, High Councilor Trigit, and his Squadron Commander Bear.  The rest of the people he didn’t recognize.  He didn’t care.  After his recent defeat in a barracks fight against Trig, all he cared about was drinking.  So he did.  Without making a sound, Tycho slid onto the stool next to Riel. “What’s up, Fury,” he said. Riel didn’t say a word.  After his infection with those weird beetles and his butt kicking, he suddenly thought that the glamorous life of the Imperial Navy wasn’t quite so glamorous.  “Ah, I’m sorry Tych, I just haven’t been having a good stay so far.” When Riel finally left the bar in the early morning, he went straight to his barracks.  When he walked into his room, a figure from his past appeared…

He ran down the halls searching for Piett.  He passed Jedi, but Jedi didn't seem to know where Piett was.  So he went to the mess(Piett was always eating).  "Hey, this @trus guy came to me and talked to me,"he told them quietly.  "I have been clean for about two weeks, so I wasn't hallucinating.  Who was this guy, and what wisdom do you have to pass on to me?"

Piett said absolutely nothing offensive about @trus. In fact, he used his name honourably and in an unoffensive way. @trus may be gone, but the memories are still here. He was the head of the Navy, and possibly the best ever. Every single Navy member, past present and future, will remember him for that. His memories will not fade. We, as Navy Personell, owe him that privilage. We will remember him, and use him in our stories, to keep his memory alive. If you do not want us to remember @trus, you might as well throw away all your American coins, because they have George Washington on them.

I didn't mean that you had used Atrus in an unappropriate way. In fact, I think you did great by bringing Atrus into the story, but, I mention what I did so that IF the story gets a little "over-the-top", that Atrus's reputation wouldn't be risked of humiliation.  I know that we all know Atrus was a very great person, but I requested the permission by Anakin, Talon, or Threeof4, is that so Atrus's name doesn't accidentally be used as a little dishonorable.

AAS-4/SL/1LT Cosmic/3SQD/1PLT/1COMP/1BAT/1RGT/VEA/VE [OPE][OTH][OPA][IH][CDS][IOC]

They searched for other dark jedi to help them get to the bottom of this, but by the will of the force or some other reason, none seemed to be around.  After reporting to their respective superiors, they each took an assault shuttle and went on a blind voyage to find what was so important. They traveled to the dead emperor's homeworld of Byss, yet all they could find was imperial soldiers going about their business.  On a whim, Riel decided to go to where his own trip began, so they set the coordinates for Kessel.

After alerting high command, Riel returned in his own TIE Fighter to the scene.  "Piett, you there?" "Yeah," a strained voice returned.  "It's pretty hot over here.  Any help would be appreciated." The two TIE's took their toll on the Rebel X-wings when the equalizer arrived.  Out of hyperspace came a Mon Cal Cruiser, a Corvette, and a Gunship. "Piett, we've got new ships in the area!!!"Riel told Piett. "I see that," he replied.  "Let's get out of here."  Just as he said that, out of hyperspace came two Imperial Star Destroyers, two Lancers, and a Victory Star Destroyer with an Interdictor Cruiser. "WOOHOO!!! The calvary has arrived!!" Riel said.  With the rebel fighters on their tail, they joined the other squadrons coming out of the Imperial ships and cleaned up the Rebels.

Late in the night, with Piett snoring loudly beside him, Riel rose from the bed.  Stretching, he looked at his new friend.  "He's not in this, this is my own quest," he said. He went to the hangar day and after getting clearance, left the hangar bay.  He set course for Nal Hutta.  If any info was to be found, the Hutts would have it. He landed on the Smugglers Moon, and after forking over a hundred credits, he found some info on the Rebellion.  He stepped into an empty Warehouse when he saw him.  The man was tall, a few inches taller than Riel, but his features were eerily similar to Riel's.  "Well, Gabe, long time no see," the man said. "Mikel, what are you doing here?" Riel replied. "I'm a smuggler, it seemed like the logical place for me to be.  What about you? Last I heard, you were an assassin for hire," he said with a sardonic grin. "Well, things have changed," Riel said.  "I'm on a different mission, and I'm no longer for hire." "What would the Empire think if they found out that 'Riel Fury' was an imposter?" Riel just glared at Mikel.  "I knew they wouldn't let me in if they looked at my records, so I got new ones," he told Mikel. "Through all the legal channels, of course." "What do you want.  Are you trying to bribe me or what." "Well, I do need a favor..."

...I want you to do a small assassing job for me!" Mikel said "WHAT? I've come clean since I joined the VE!" Riel said "I thought you did that's why I dug up these!" Mikel said as he pulled out a copy of Mikel's records. "You wouldn't!" "Not if you do what I ask you to..."Mikel said with a grin. "Okay, what do I have to do?!" "I knew you would see the light! GWAHAHAHAHAH!" Meanwhile, back at VE Home base Piett was in for a little suprise. His so-called companion was missing. Piett got into his uniform and even skipped eating, which was very unusual for Piett. He went to see Bear, Riel's Flight Commander. "Bear, have you seen Riel?" Piett asked. "He's missing!" "Yes, I know he's missing." Bear replied "He took a leave of absence" "Yea I know he did, we took one together, but I was supposed to help him out and he just took off." Piett said. "Let me check with the Hangar. T-765, has Riel_Fury taken off anywhere in his TIE Fighter?" Bear's voice came over the loudspeaker. "Yes, sir." T-765 said "He left after getting clearance for Nal Hutta." "That will be all!" Bear said as he closed the connection. "Bear, I'm going after him!" Piett said."Hold a second Piett, we don't know what sort of troouble he's in, Go get PJ, and Tarkin. That way if Riel is in deep trouble, we can get him out of it easily. After you get them, please meet me at Docking Bay 19." Bear told Piett. "Agreed, its as good as done!" Piett Replied. "See you at the Docking Bay!" Bear told Piett as he dashed out of the room. Piett made it to the Pilot's barracks rather quickly, considering that he hadn't ate yet. When he got there Tarking and PJ were talking, so he could get them both in one try. "Tarkin, PJ  I need you to come with me to the Docking Bay." Piett said "What for?" asked Tarkin. "Shouldn't you have left with Riel, Piett?" PJ asked. "That's why I need you to come with me, Riel took off on his own for Nal Hutta, and Bear and I are going to get him back and we need help." Piett replied. "Well okay." PJ said. "Tarkin get ready! We're going!" PJ ordered. When the two of them were ready Piett, PJ, and Tarkin all headed down for Docking Bay 18. "I got them Bear!" Piett said "Now let's go after Riel." "With pleasure!" Bear said as he gestured to four ships. "You three take the TIE Interceptors, while I take the Fighter!" Without any arguement, the three got into the TIE Interceptors while Bear got into his TIE FIghter. PJ got clearance for them and they were off. "Okay guys." PJ said "Set a course for Nal Hutta, but be careful when we get there. We don't know what kind of defense system the Hutts have." "Agreed!" said the others. With that said, the four set a course for Nal Hutta and blasted off into hyperspace.

Cosmic and Jedi came out of hyperspace and headed for the Sumgglers' Moon. They landed on the opposite side of the city as the TIE Pilots. Jedi got the scanner out of the compartment and turned it on. "Hey we're in luck Cos! Riel is not far from here!" said Jedi. "And where are the rest of the TIE Pilots?"asked Cosmic."Well it seems that Piett and PJ are right near Riel. We should go after them first for backup." replied Jedi. "Where are they in relation to Riel?" asked Cosmic. "Well, Riel is on the ground floor and they are two floors up.--Corection one floor and still dropping. I'm going to try and tell them to meet us at the Warehouse." said Jedi. "Well good luck, I couldn't get them before!" said Cosmic. "No luck! Let's just hope they meet us there!" said Jedi dissapointedly. "Agreed!" said Cosmic. With that, the two stormtroopers headed off unaware of the danger that awaited them. When arriving at the factory, Cosmic and Jedi found themselves in a bit of a jam. "There's no door!" said Cosmic. "There will be!" said Jedi. "Huh?" "Just watch! I've been waiting to do this for a long time! OPEN SESAME!" Jedi cried out, but nothing happened. "Watch what?" asked Cosmic. "This..." Jedi took out the sequencer charges placed them on a wall and BOOOM! There was a hole in the wall. No one was in the room though, they were in the basement. Cosmic and Jedi found Riel and Mikel as soon as they came down the stairs. "Well Gabe what will it be Yes or No?" Mikel asked Riel. "Gabe?"Jedi and Cosmic asked each other. "We better keep hidden, keep your voice down, maybe we can learn something." Jedi told Cosmic. Outside the factory, Piett had arrived at the factory. With the hole that Jedi had made, he had no trouble getting in. When he got inside, he too noticed it was empty and went downstairs. When he laid eyes on Jedi and Cosmic he asked them "What are you doing here?" "SSSHHHHHH!" said the two. "What's goin' on?" Piett asked. "We picked up a signal from Riel on the scanner and couldn't get a hold of you so we decided to come get him, hoping that you would show up." they replied. "Well, I'm going in there!" Piett said. "NO WAIT!" they said. "Now what?" "We're trying to see what we can learn, then we're going in!" "Oh, good idea." "I'm going to ask you once more Gabe, what is it going to be YES or NO!" Mikel said. "NO!" said Riel. "I have been thinking of myself too much lately, but this time, I'm thinking of others. I WILL NOT kill Cosmic, no matter what you threaten to do!" Riel replied "Fine!" said Mikel with a grin. "If you will not kill Cosmic, I will just kill you!" Piett could not stand it any longer. "That's it, I'm going in!" he said. "Jedi, we better go cover him!" said Cosmic. With that the three "heroes" went off to save Riel. "Hold it right there Mikel!" Piett screamed. "Piett! What are you doing here?" Riel exclaimed. "Well that's a stupid question! 'What am I doing here?' That's a good one! I'm saving your lousy butt, that's what! We'll talk casualties later, and don't think I'm going to let this Gabe thing slide! Now for you Mikel!" Piett said. "What, you didn't bring Cosmic along?" Mikel asked hoping to distract Piett who was on a warpath. "Who says they didn't?" Cosmic's voice bellowed from the hall. Once, Piett is through with you, I'm going to slice you into little tiny pieces. "Well, I have a little surprise up my sleeve!" said Mikel. "Jedi, Piett get ready for anything!" said Cosmic. "Soldiers attack!" yelled Mikel. Just then the factory doors opened and Rebel soldiers came charging out. "Let's take care of them Jedi!" Cosmic said as he activated his red lightsaber with a WOOSH! "Understood!" said Jedi as he began blasting the Rebels. Cosmic deflected the incoming shots with his saber while Jedi blasted them. Mikel was going to use this time to escape, but Piett had other plans. "Not so fast!" Piett yelled as he tackled Mikel to the ground. Piett gave Mikel a good beating till he was black and blue all over. Cosmic and Jedi were still engaged in the fight. Riel, realizing that Mikel was still concious, demanded to know his connection with the Rebels. "I wanted to get Cosmic killed!" *gasp* said Mikel. "Piett stop choking him!" said Riel. Piett took his hands off Mikel's neck. "I told the Rebels I would tell them were you were as long as Cosmic and you were unharmed. That way, I could guilt you into killing Cosmic, but I had no idea that you were a skilled wingman or that Cosmic was a Jedi!" said Mikel "DarkJedi! Thank You!" Interrupted Cosmic, having cleaned up the mess with Jedi.  "One thing still remains a mystery, how did you know we would be at Kessel?" Riel demanded. "It's easy!" said Mikel. "I knew it would be a matter of time before you felt that you were going nowhere with your life, so I told the Rebels to have their fleet positioned at Kessel." Cosmic came over to Riel. "Shall I take care of him?" he asked. "Go ahead!" said Riel. "He took advantage of our past and almost cost us our lives. KILL HIM COSMIC!" Riel said. Cosmic then took his lightsaber and with a WWWHHHHIIIRRRR! Mikel was cut in half, and was dead. The four survivors then left the building. "Were you the only ones that came to rescue me?" asked Riel. "No, Bear, PJ, and Tarkin are still searching for you in the city." Jedi answered. "No they're not!" Piet contradicted. "When I found your TIE, I told PJ to get the rest of the crew while I went in to get you!" "Well, if that's settled we'll meet you back home!" said Cosmic. "Sure! Jedi, Cosmic, thanks for the help!" Piett said. "Don't mention it!" said Jedi. "Besides, things were getting boring around base anyways." With that, Jedi and Cosmic got in their shuttle, set the course and took off for home. Piett and Riel walked to their TIEs, then Riel stopped short. "Problem?" Piett asked. "Piett, why did you come today? I mean, I ditched you!" asked Riel. "Yea, but you don't think that after I found you missing that I would sit around like a mother and wait for you to come home did you?" Piett replied. "Well...no." said Riel. "Alright then! Let's get home, but this time STAY AT BASE!" Piett sternly told Riel. "Don't worry!" said Riel. "If there's one thing I learned today, it's never do something alone when you have backup available!" "Exactly!" said Piett. "I'll race ya home Piett!" Riel challenged. "Okay!" said Piett "Loser buys breakfast!" "Piett, don't you ever do anything besides eat?" Riel asked. "Well lemme think...oh yea! Now I remember! I save lives! Or have you forgotten already?" said Piett. "No, I haven't forgot!" said Riel. "I'll see you at home." "Ok!" said Piett. "You can be sure though, we're going to have a serious talk in the morning!" "Whatever..." Riel said as the 2 of them raced to their TIEs, set course, took off, and blasted into hyperspace "neck-and-neck".

"Uh, I have a splitting head ache," Riel said.  "That's it, I'll never drink again." "Hey Riel, congrats on your return to Kaph Squadron," Piett said.  Riel just pushed passed him.  "Where are you going?" Piett asked. "The bar, I need to get as good as Zed."
