It is a very good game. Single player is one of the best COD campaigns ever, it's not too long, but its epic, and filled with action. It puts the Halo 3 campaign to shame a bit i feel.
Online play is also a hell of a lot of fun. Similar to Halo 3 you, have ranks that you can earn, and as you go up the ranks you unlock weapons etc... that you can use. There are also challenges that you can complete, which are also pretty good.
Technically speaking, its a far better game then Halo 3, although my fanboyish nature refuses to acknowledge that.
But basically, if you can go online with it, get it, if not, maybe try and find it cheap somewhere, cause even though the single player is good, its really about the both online and single player. "I'm no Physician, but there appears to be a dagger through my chest."

But yeah the Campaign is great but the MP aspect is the big thing for me. I play it a hell of a lot more then Halo... and for me to admit that is blasphemy as a midnight buyer of it ;P "You think you can run this ship better?"

Do the CoD games have unique storylines, or are they linked somehow? I see several people talking about how some Captain Price (or someone) was in CoD1 and 2, and that he "can't die in CoD4".
Also, are there any expansions I'll have to worry about for online play? I bought BF2142, and now there's that first expansion which I didn't really want to buy. Cleric "Cosmic" Vor'soth

Cosmic, the thing about COD4 is that its Modern Warfare, not WW2 or WW1, so the main character is different, but it's still fun killing people through walls if you ask me. |
