Not quite sure the next step in the processes for joining... continued on to basic training and did the first modual as propted from the earlier forum...

Name is Nymall Tiradez
Race: Trandoshan
Age: 28
Weight: 197 Lbs
Height: 6ft 5
Eye Color: blue

Physical Description: Nymall is a strong, well built trandoshan with startling, sea blue eyes. He has a upright, almost military posture, and seems very quiet and calculating, as though he thinks himself an observer. several scales on the right side of his neck seem to have been melted, as though he had a accident with a blaster at some point in his past, leaving a slightly disfiguring mark, which he wears almost as a badge of pride. As with his stance, his suit is the mirror of perfection, taking time to make sure everything is perfect with a obsession that borders insanity.

Emotional Description:  As a rule, he smiles rarely and laughs less, as he sees emotion as a tool, one that can easily be warped against him, leading into a cold, slightly confrontational manner. Nymall has a simple attitude, one that mirrors his behavior. He lives in the belief that the simplest route is often the most efficient, and rarely takes the time to be diplomatic or cautious, preferring to get to the heart of the conversation and get it over with rather then spend pointless hours beating around the bush. Nymall is a expert tactician, preferring to use logic then luck to solve a situations... however... this is also his weakness.  When presented with a abstract situation, he tends to take the logical route as the only route, which leads to some interesting if not at times dangerous consequences... If spoken to he will not be rude... just slightly blunt.

History: There is not a lot known about Nymall's past... from the little he will say it is evident that he was in some form of spaceship accident... truth be told, he's not even sure what happened. His first coherent memory was waking up on tatooine, in the remnants of a cargo freighter... since then, he has flitted from job to job, eventually deciding on a path with the Imperial Navy... however, there was something oddly familiar about all of this....

Further Notes: As stated above, Nymall has a almost fanatical obsession with order... most of that stems from the trauma of the accident. He is however prone to flashbacks... never enough to cause problems, but troublesome none the less...

Well... have not yet recieved a response... got bored, read through chapter 2 of Basic training and completed it... again, there is no mention of waiting, so... seeing as I have this done already I'll post it.

The Sandwich
Purpose: The sandwich is intended to “lure” a attacking enemy into a vulnerable position.

Procedure: The “quarry”  leads the attacking fighter into a straight turn or easy loop, taking care not to be caught in enemy gun fire. While easy loop or straight run is being performed, a wingman or friendly fighter falls in behind enemy aircraft and takes out the enemy aircraft while the enemy's attention is focused primarily on it's frontal target.

Notes: This is a high risk offensive maneuver and should be primarily used if a craft has already acquired “heat”.

The High-Speed Yo-Yo
Purpose: This tactic is primarily used to break a  lagging turn, or lag pursuit, where the target does not enter the target cone for extended periods of time.. It sacrifices distance for stability.

Procedure: When the enemy starts a lag pursuit, pull the nose of the plane up, rising up instead of turning. At the top of the climb, begin to sharply decent and aim your firing cone into his flight path.

Note: This is a very good tactic against unexperienced dog fighters, but more experienced pilots may recognize the tactic and pull out of the turn and sacrifice stability for defense... as well, this tactic is hard to modify once committed... be well advised.

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, but you errr...posted the first one at 3AM my time.

Anyways, welcome to the Navy. It seems you have a good grasp of the Wiki and what you're supposed to be doing. The first two stages look good and I will move you on to stage 3. In this you will write a mock report and post it here.

Terribly sorry... I run a home based buisness and this is my "free time"... I'll try and see if I can get on a bit latter for the next few weeks...

Here is the report you requested, sir.

Flight Member Reports

Nymalls' Report: December 12th, 2006

Activity: This week I used some time to do some Pay-Per-Click, trying to do at least one a day, as well as participated on various open topics on the Main Comnet Catagory, as well as continued familiarizing myself with the system.

Upcoming plans: Next week I plan on continuing to familiarize myself with the forums and the mechanics of the writing system, participate in squad and neutral stories as well as proceed with the Pay-Per-Click utility.

Questions/Suggestions: None

Nymall, welcome to the Vast Empire Navy.  I was just dropping by to congratulate you on a job well done thus far.  Your Biography is proving to be one of the best I've read recently, though it could use a little reform at certain points.

My main reason for intruding upon your topic though, was to inform you that you've come well within the qualifications of receiving the Star of the Academy [SoA].  More information can be found at the link I've put at the bottom of this thread, with just a scroll down the page through the list of Naval Awards.  This page contains all awards available for receiving at some point in your career here in the Vast Empire Navy.  Basic requirements for this award are completing your BT (Basic Training) in three days or less, with also getting a perfect "distinction" rating on your aviators exam, which you'll take once you are placed into a squadron.  Even though those requirements can be met rather easily, once you enter your named squadron, a level of commitment must be shown early on to prove that you are eligible for the reward.  Beyond exemplary attributes and such should be shown upon almost immediate placement in order to guarantee you the satisfaction of receiving this award.

Well, pilot, I hope you keep up the hard work.  You look to be a promising recruit, and your activity could end up moving you up the ranks faster than you think.  Most haven't accomplished those tasks you've done so far within even a week of joining this great Navy, and your skills have proven yourself worthy of acknowledgment from a higher standing viewpoint.

Have fun with what your doing!  This isn't a job or anything of the sort, so feel free to do what you want, as long as its within the barriers of the CoC (Code of Conduct).

And, one more thing.  You spelled Weasel wrong

He might've spelled it that way on purpose... I know a couple people who's last name is spelled that way...

Anyway. Welcome to the Navy Nymall. If you keep up what you've been doing, you could be a good addition. Keep it up.

Thank you very much, guys! Yeah, so far it seems to be pretty interesting, and I hope to have a lot of fun with you all here for the next while...

There's also a bit of a funny thing I should explain... The misspelling of weasle is intentional, and it's a bit of a long joke from some of my time on a gaming forum ages back... I've sort of adopted the Mispelled name as a identifier...

Well... just need admitance for the test... I'll probably pop on later to see if there's any updates...

I forwarded it along to the Training officer for you (I am part of the academy, but a little lower down the "chain").

He has been a bit busy in real life, but gets on at least once every day or two. At that point he will place you and hopefully grade your exam if he has time.

Congrats on completing training.
