(srry, was in wrong section)
(Basically a thread for anyone -saph- in the squad to ask about Jersh’s past)

Jersh pushed away his data pad with a drawn out sigh quickly turned into a yawn. He rubbed his tired eyes with his palms and looked over to see a few other troops in a similar state of weariness. He had been studying for the past...... Jersh glanced at the watch he decided to wear lately.... six hours straight. Jersh kept his eyes closed and could feel them throbbing from the strain he had put on them. He made a mental note to drop off at the Imperial Store later on and buy something for the headache beginning to take root.

He opened his eyes to look around the room once more. It was similar to a large study, but was considered a break room as well to the personnel. The last few night-owls were shuffling towards the door, leaving Jersh almost alone. He looked at the multitude of tables and chair and laughed at the thought that they were hardly ever used. He closed his eyes again and leaned back in his chair, enjoying a moment of peace and quiet.

It was times like these however, that memories of his past came back to haunt him. He saw again different worlds he had been to in the past, different faces of the people he had known....the people who had betrayed him.... the people he had killed. The sight of the crowd jeering him on in the arena. The scent of blood, both old and freshly spilt, wafted from the pit that was their fighting zone. The screams of pain and anguish as he carved into a vital area, the feel of the spray of blood from a particularly accurate hit. A child...... himself... standing amongst a pile of bodies..... all those who stood before him would die..... He stared into his own eyes..... he stared into the abyss of his past.. Jersh sat upright in his chair with a jolt, struggling to clear the imagine of his own red-tainted eyes from his memory. They stayed though, forever burned into his memory of what he once was..... and what he had the potential to become again. A thin layer of sweat covered his body and his breathing was heavy, that was the only thing in all the galaxy that truly scared him.
