The VE Anniversary will be held Sunday, August 5 during our regular meeting time on IRC.  Make sure to come by as we'll have some events going on throughout the day.

Here are some possible events we'll be having:

• RPG
• Star Wars Trivia
• Gaming
• Imperial Lottery - 30,000,000 ICs (purchase tickets before meeting)
• Etc.

If you would like to run one of these events, post up a reply to this topic.  I will be compensating those members that run any type of event on the anniversary a sum of 1,000,000 ICs.

Also, if you have an idea for an event that isn't listed above, make your suggestions.

I know Counter Strike Source isn't on our normal list of Games but I can put together a gaming session for those interested. I have a few friends with servers and can set one of my own up if need be.

So far, I have the following members hosting activities.

• Trivia - Kairo
• RPG - Darr-Rann

As for gaming type activities, if anyone would like to host something like this, it would have to be some type of tournament.  Basically, you will need to get participants and setup a tournament ladder of sorts so that there will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.

I will be offering the prize money for the top 3 places in any activity (not sure how RPG would determine this; but if you can, do it) that is run.

Here is the prize money that will be distributed to the winners of the anniversary activities.

1. 500,000 ICs
2. 250,000 ICs
3. 100,000 ICs

If you are running an activity, make sure to keep track of the scores of each participant so I can send out the prize money.  Once I get that information, I will be sending out your money for hosting the activity.

I can host an EaW tournament (we can do one land and then one space).  I need at least five more people people , so Comnet message me with the times that you are available and whether you're interested in land, space, or both.  We'll workout the details if enough people sign up.

RPG will be marked on your roleplaying, attitude, and participation.

As for a JO RPG, dunno if Rizz could put one together quickly enough. They usually take some time to develop. Of course, he could just use an older set up that's been used previously... Still, a JO RPG takes even more people than a tourney.

It is a long weekend in Canada, so I'm not entirely sure what I'll be upto. I should be around Sunday, and if so I'm up for the JO tourney.

Alright, well I have enough if they all show, so I'll hold a JO tourney. Let me all know if you can do it after the meeting, since that's when Jaden can apparently do it. Don't do it here, no need to clutter. Just sent me a comnet message. As for what server we'll be using, I'll tell you all once we are all together on Sunday. The setup will be something like this...

              /  Winners fight each other once. Winner of two fights will move on with Winner of one Fight. Person who lost completely will be Third Place. *2 Other Option...

  The losers will have the option of competing against each other in the same format as the winners did above. If so, it would be for fourth, fifth, and sixth. If they do decide to stick around and compete for those places, I'll hand out some complimentary prizes.

  In the case that each person wins themselves at least one match, ending in a three way tie, the person with the most Duel Wins so far will go on to fight the person with the second most Duel Wins.

1v1 Setup. Each Fight will consist of 3 Matches of 5 Duels. Winner of Two Matches wins the Fight.

Now, all of this is subject to change if we get more people. This is the six person setup. I have ones for 8 and even 10 people. But this is the base one.
On a side note, Trivia will be held later in the day. If people have a problem sticking around... well.. too bad. There is the RPG if you aren't participating in the JO Tourney.

The irc.holonet.org server uses port 6667.  The JavaChat also has the irc.holonet.org server in the options list.

If you're still having troubles connecting to the irc.holonet.org server, you might want to try connecting from the holonet website.  They have an online chat client that anyone can use.

I'm not sure what happened to the VE irc server; but so far, it's not looking good.  Hopefully we'll be able to recover it sometime soon.

For whoever wasn't at trivia, I pity you. It was a fun time and I hope everyone enjoyed it. Here are the final scores.
