Maneuvers
Offensive:
The Sandwich
The Sandwich is very useful, and probably one of the best tactics, for TIE pilots to use, considering that they fly in two man wings. If a lone fighter attacks one of the TIEs in a wing, that TIE pilot flies out to his left if he is on the left or vice versa.
Hopefully the bandit will pull after him.If he does, then the other TIE pilot comes in behind him and fires his cannon, hopefully destroying the enemy fighter.Missiles are no to be used,as they may lock on to your wingmate instead. And even if they don't,if the bandit is up close to your wingmate, the explosion may throw him of course or even destroy him.Max Fagron is an advocate of the Sandwich technique,as it favours his doctrine of a team of two, that he has picked up since he began training.Max is now a firm advocate of teamwork also.
Defensive:
The Split S
The split s is where,if you find yourself with an enemy on your tail, you make an inwards turn, then turn upside down, and then pull up on the stick to dive. This especially helps shake the enemy off. This can also be employed offensivley against an enemy coming towards you, below you.You merely turn over and dive onto his tail. This is also another of Max favourite moves,as it is useful if your squadate is killed, and therefore the sandwich technique is no longer viable.
