The world may seem unfair, but its not because you'll always have friends to be there for you, it may seem that way because some people chose not to have friends so they take it out on others, but friends will alwyas be there...

Ten pounds is a lot for one month unless you use dietary supplements, which are never healthy.  I weighed probably 240 after my last year of football and it took me over a three months to shave off all the excess weight I didn't need, approximately 10 pounds.

luckystar, I'm glad to have someone who understands me, because like you, the world doesn't understand or know me either, we're all kids to parents like Cosmic in VE, you know. Give your some good advice:

1.chase your dreams,even when they seem so far away, 2.don't do something you will regret for the rest of your life, 3. if you love a girl, and you've known her for some times,  like about a year, then tell her and let that girl be the support of your life, and 4. don't like money change your mind about anything, because even if you're poor, I think you would rather die with someone's greatest secret than to pour it out for money or women, like that damned freak in 300.

I hsve another problem. i'm being verbally abused. last night it was so bad, that i cried for a good part of the night. my brother and sister talk behind my back, and they laugh about the things they say, and with my keen hearing i can hear them.

It practically never cry, that really hurt.

I've tried that many times already. All that does is make them laugh even harder and longer.

Well, they were being morons.

You're better than they'll ever be.

There is basically three reasons why someone would pick on or harass another person.

1. Ignorance
2. They have low self confidence
3. It gives them power

Ignorance:
When someone doesn't understand something; they'll either want to learn more or become scared about what they don't understand.  The later will result in them lashing out against what they don't understand in order to defend themselves.

Low self confidence:
When someone has low self confidence, they will try to build themselves up by taking others down.  They basically don't want others to see them as weak, so they'll try to give the illusion that they are 'big' by hurting others.

Power:
Having the power to control what someone does or how they feel is quite the power.  It gives certain people great joy to see how what they do can really effect someone else.  The power to control someone else's emotions is probably the greatest power.  Though. people can't just take the power to control someone's emotions, they are given that power; and once they see they have that power, they will abuse it.

All these reasons can tie into each other one way or another.  The basic principle is that if someone is trying to hurt someone else, you can bet they have their own problems they are trying to run away from.

Once you realize how true this is, you might even feel sorry for the people trying to harass and/or hurt people.  When people continue to hurt others, they will never learn why they are hurting inside since they can't look past their own need to hurt others in order to feel a temporary high.  They'll just keep digging themselves deeper and deeper in their hole.

I'll put it another way.  Have you ever met anyone that was happy and had their life together, and still wanted to hurt other people?  I can bet you, the answer will always be no.

So how do you stop others from trying to hurt you and/or effect your emotions?  You basically can't.  There will always be someone out there that has some negative emotions that will try to bring you down.  Whether they are directing their negative feelings towards you or someone else; it's all the same.  When you see someone trying to hurt others or even you, just don't associate with them anymore.  Sometimes it might be harder than others to not associate with someone; but if you believe they don't exist in your world, then whatever they do shouldn't effect you (unless of course it's physical abuse...then it's criminal).

There is something you can do, however.  Keep the power to your own emotions.  No one else should be able to effect how you feel.  Unless they are your friends and you want them to effect your emotions, since they make you feel happy.  Once you give this power up, people will chew it up and throw it back in your face.

Now, I'm not saying that if you get hurt emotionally by someone that it's your fault.  What I am saying, is that if something does hurt, and things will, then you need to take a step back to learn why it hurt so much.  What is the root cause; did you think the person was close to you, is it something you're already struggling with, is it something you feel self confident about already, etc.  Once you find out why things hurt, then they won't hurt as bad the next time as you'll be learning from the pain to make yourself a stronger person.  Don't be afraid of the pain; face it, so you can learn more from it.

In summary, the easiest thing to change in life is yourself; the way you think, the way you perceive things, how you react to things, etc.  You can't change others unless they want to be changed; in which case, they will most likely ask for or seek out help.  The worst thing someone can do is want their life to change and not do anything to change it themselves.  Once you change yourself, your world will change around you.

Just know that everyone in this world has their own problems.  It's how we deal with the problems that set us apart.

Actually there are more then 3 reasons.  I cant stand it when people go after others that are weaker or less intelligent then them.  Usually when I meet an ass like that it's fun going after them and making them feel like the most pathetic thing to ever walk the face of the earth.  $.02

Kad. I have changed in a very big way.

When i was younger, I was shy, i would be put down very easily , and I LOVED to talk.

Now though, I'm very reserved, try to keep my emotions at bay, i can be violent if I am provoked to the extremes , and now my parents are forcing me to socialize.
