BACKGROUND HISTORY:
I was born and raised on Naboo. My mother died while giving birth to my little sister and my sister died shortly after birth. My father was a politician and was also very abusive. When things didn't go his way he took it out on me and my brother. One day my father came through the door as me and my brother were eating lunch. He immediatly went to his bedroom and came back with the leather bullwhip he used to beat us with. He began lashing about at both of us. I cowered in the corner of the living room and watched as he beat my brother to his death.I remember that he kept screaming at me to help him but I couldn't move. My father kept beating him long after my brother's life had expired. When my father realized this he only became more enraged. He began to slowly inch his way toward me. I remember that his face looked so inhumanly cruel. His eyes were blood shot and his face looked like plaster. I watched petrified as he raised the whip and brought it down hard on my left eye. I howled like mad and before I knew what I was doing I ran towards the table and picked up the knife that my brother and I had used to slice fruit only minutes before. My grip tightened around the knife as I lunged at my father and stabbed him in the side of the neck. He didn't even make a sound. His body hit the ground and his bloodshot eyes fixed themselves on the ceiling. All this happened when I was only 19. I hid on different planets terrified that someone would recognize me and turn me in. I finally knew that the only way to be safe was to join the Vast Empire and here I am.

3) Fluently speaking/understanding 95 languages is a bit unreasonable. Try 4 at most.

4) We're currently in the Thrawn Era, which is approximately 10-15 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. The Empire was destroyed in RotJ, so you could not have joined the Empire "a year ago". The "Empire" was practically destroyed, and split into factions. The Vast Empire is one such faction.

With this in mind, the Emperor is dead, there are no more Jedi, and no more Empire.
