Well, I was all set to play Splinter Cell: Double Agent (for PC), and everything checked out during the system diagnostic tests... except for one thing: pixel shader. I had Pixel Shader 2.0, and the game required 3.0, so I needed to upgrade my ATI Radeon x700 Pro (PCIe) to something more... suitable.

Best Buy = awesome. I got this baby for about $250.00 (Approximately $500.00 at Fry's Electronics)

An X1950 series GPU?  Very nice.    Judging by the 48 Shader processors, I'd say it's an XT or XTX, but I could be wrong.

Either way, at if you got any x1950 series card for $250, you get a good deal.

Is your motherboard X-fire capable?

I'm not a big hardware buff. How would I check that? :P

It's an X1950 Pro.  I pulled up the properties of the image, and looked up the source page.

Good choice.

I'll check the box to be sure, and yeah, I'm pretty happy with the buy. It was either an X1600 or X1950, and the X1950 was just $50 bucks more.
