Ladies and gentlemen, it's the moment you've all been waiting for! I promised a speech and by the Nine Divines, I am going to deliver a speech! If you think this is TL;DR I don't care. I'm posting anyway.

Many of you are wondering exactly why I'm doing a speech in the first place. Some of you are probably thinking that it has to do with the HSC, but that's only a part of it. It has been exactly one year since Eclipse was reopened and I was made the squad leader of the squad. The decision came as a complete surprise to me as I was handed a few noobs from the Academy, who are all sadly, not a part of Eclipse right now. I've seen a fair share of troopers come and go in the past year, but my thanks goes out to them. If not for them, the squad would not be open today.

Last year, Eclipse was opened during the HSC. Needless to say, we lost. It was a whole wealth of things that led to it. My inexperience at leading the squad, the squad's inexperience, and the fact that we were reopened halfway through the comp. Either way, we lost. While that did not matter to me at the time, I knew for sure that I wanted to win the next HSC. Well, Eclipse, we're a year old now and I would like to say that I believe we're kicking ass on the comp. Last, I checked we were in third place. But we are poised to take first, if only we buckle down.

We're missing some points in gaming and graphics. Even the miscellaneous category. Keep up the good work on the posting part of things. Our posts are practically golden, we're consistently scoring high with our posts, so keep up the high level of work. But just note that graphics and the misc. section can really help us. Eclipse, we lost last year. Do you want to lose this year?

Let's make our superior's proud, ladies and gentlemen. Let us rise up and seize this victory. We're Eclipse. We're goddamned awesome! We should win this! Let's kick some ass into gear!

Hey all!

While I'm not quite ready to return to active duty in the VE, I just read the speech, and it has inspired me to post here. As Eclipse has made it's first full year since reopening, so too does that mark my first full year as a member of the glorious VE. At first, I was fairly nervous about joining the VE, and originally did so as I was bored and started looking around for Star Wars role-playing sites, and I'm glad I did.

EDIT: I would also like to add that the materials we need to gather at the security office are such things like certain security footage and different files on the base itself and the operations occurring there. Essentially, Skarr wants to bring back as much information as he can along with the hostages themselves.
