And it looks like I forgot to say this. Unfortunately, as of three days ago, I requested a transfer to the reserves. An excerpt from my Letter of Reserve Transfer: Quote:Due to real life constraints (exams etc.) of which a foreseeable end is not in immediate sight, I am stepping down as Eclipse Squad Assistant Squad Leader and requesting a transfer to the reserves. As much as I would like to keep the position and be active in the army, it is not possible at this time, and it isn't fair to the others. It isn't fair the I, in my barely active state, should be occupying a command role, when there are many troopers out there who are much more deserving of the promotion. And so, I take my leave, to give others a chance to advance. To not continue to drag down Eclipse Squad with my inactivity. I hope that you understand.

Writing up a response post now. I'm trying to brainstorm for how exactly the NR will attack. I wouldn't think they'd be stupid enough to scream frontal assault and get slaughtered on the walls. More likely they'd send in an infiltration team to see if they couldn't get a few things done. If my post isn't okay in that regard let me know and I'll edit it out. After all, I'm just the newbie. They've already sent an infiltration team in for Raiders's story.
The emplacement weapons are all down so they're likely going to send riflemen to try and pick you off from afar and occasionally test them out by sending some light speeders foreward. ah, okay.
I'm mainly confused about the shield covering the fortress. Does it extend past the walls? Is it an upward umbrella?
Since you're saying rifleman can pick people off the walls and lightspeeders can run in I'm a bit confused as to where the shield is placed and how it functions.

It surrounds the fortress a few hundred metres out
