This post concerns all Army members:
Following the recent trend of 'casual leave' in most squads, both Storm and Wildcard Platoon will be implementing a new leave policy.
If
any active trooper, requires any form of leave at
any given time, you are now required to
post on the army leave boards a designated, or estimated period of time in which you believe you will be gone. If you fail to do this within a period of
two weeks you risk being
removed from your squad .
Note: The estimated period of time posted does not have to be exact, so don't stress. If the original leave bracket posted turns out to be not enough to sort out RL matters, you are able to reapply for another period of leave.
Note: If you successfully apply for a period of leave, and return within the designated time frame, you will receive a bonus reward of
10k (generously donated by Kairo). If you are required to apply for another period of leave, and do so again properly, the reward will increase by another
10k. It should however be noted that leave designed to abuse this gift, for example, leave posted every few days simply to gain access to this money, will result in a
20k fine .
Following removal from your squad, troopers will become
'Drifters' in which they will gain another two weeks to post leave, or contact their squad leaders or PC. If they do not do so within these two weeks, they will be considered
AWOL.
Note: Once troopers have been removed from their squad, there is no guarantee that they will be able to regain their place. If 'Drifters' come back within the two weeks following squad removal they may be placed in an entirely different squad.
Once a trooper has been classified as
AWOL another new policy will come into effect. Currently, AWOL members are able to return at a later date whilst maintaining their rank, medals and bank accounts. This
will not be the case from now on. If a trooper is marked as AWOL, their rank will revert to Private First Class, all medals and recognitions will become
void and bank account balances will be reset to 1000 IC's.
This is a necessarily harsh procedure. If troops follow the leave policy outlined above, there will be no risk of AWOL. If you have any questions about this new procedure, feel free to contact your SL's, PC's or myself.
