The sky was an inky color, in between deep purple and black. In his bunk, SX-301 awoke, drenched in sweat. He had been recalling his days in training camp. He had been the leader of his training squad, which had been comprised of LK-284 a tall, muscular trooper, usually the one assigned to plant or disable bombs, or control larger guns; DK-069, the brains of the squad, excelling in technology; HK-748, the generally jack-of-all-trades trooper, able to do many things to help the group, but not really specializing in anything, and himself. SX-301 was slightly shorter than the average clone, with a slim build. He was an expert in field tactics and rifles, able to shoot a mynock's eye from 700 feet.
This particular dream revolved around the first real mission they undertook, to seek out and return, dead or alive, a rebel fugitive who had escaped from the Imperials. His name was Garran Vyron, and he had been arrested for the murder of a Stormtrooper. They had tracked him down to a base on Coruscant, and were closing in on his hiding spot. They formed a semi-circle around the door of the building he was believed to be in. After getting the ok from SX-301, LK-284 kicked the door in and went inside, closely followed by the others. The room was dark and dank, filled with the odor of mold. "I think I saw movement over there," HK-748 whispered over the comlink, pointing towards a couch.
"Roger that," replied SX-301, holding his gun up, ready to shoot to stun Garran. As he rounded the couch, there was a rapid beeping noise. As the speed increased, SX-301 yelled "Grenade!" and as one, his squad dove for cover behind the fallen door, which DK-069 and LK-284 were pushing up on it's side, to form a barrier from the explosive. After the blast, SX-301 issued orders for HK-748 to stay downstairs and guard the exit, while the rest went upstairs.
Once past the stairs, SX-301 sent DK-069 up a second flight of stairs, leaving just LK-284 and himself to search the second floor. Around a table& there was nothing. Behind a refrigerating unit& there was nothing. As the two made a pincer movement around a large, metallic pillar, there was a shout over the comlink. "Hurry upstairs, he's jumping out the window!"
"HK-748, you go outside and make sure he doesn't get away if he makes it over the window ledge!"
"Rodger, Rodger."
By the time SX-301 and LK-284 had reached the room containing Garran Vyron and DK-069, DK-069's gun was sliding towards the door, and Vyron was pinning him down, repeatedly punching his helmet, and apparently attempting to break it. SX-301 nodded at LK-284, and they raised their guns simultaneously. With a soft thudding noise, Garran fell to the floor, in a state of shock from the stun lasers out of two guns. Wordlessly, the three picked him up and carried him downstairs, meeting HK-748 at the doorway. SX-301 changed the channel on his comlink and said just two words: "Got him."
