Name: Tar-Palantir
Callsign: ARC-1941 Palantir
Age: 19
Height: 6"2'
Weight: 155lbs
Species: Zabrak
Number of horns: 9
Eye Color: Blue
Place of Birth: Orrostar, Numenore
Tar-Palantir means far-seeing in the Andunic tongue spoken on my home island of Numenore. I was named as such because I was the Warden of Orrostar Tower for some time. I have the typical look for most of my species, although I am lighter then most. The tatoos I bear denote me as a native of Numenore, and as a member of the line of Silmarie. I joined the navy because I am a natural pilot, ever since I first used one of those BARC bikes back home. I'm also better at melee weapons when I'm on the ground, but I can fire a blaster with good enough accuracy if needed, but i prefer a good blade, or staff to a gun
History:
Tar-Palantir (far-sight) was born into the family of Zabraks living on the Isle of Numenore; the Wardens of Orrostar tower on the north side of the island. Numenore is famous for it's mariners and Palantir's parents were no exception. Although their position as Warden's of the Tower excused them from the obligatory neval service, Palantir's parents were active in the navy. They died in a naval battle near Pelargir At the time his parents died at sea, Palantir was still a youth, about 12. Pharazon his brother (name meaning the golden flight) was older, and ity was he who trained both Palantir and their sister Miriel in the art of flying some of the most famous starfighters ever used. It was he who had constructed a hanger in the cliff face near the tower.
Over the years of his rule in Orrostar, Pharazon collected a decent fleet of starfighters, includiong aethersprites, actis fighters, and ARC-170 snubfighters. Palantir had less of an intrest in piloting these craft, but he loved the Nimbus V-wing fighter because of its enhanced manueaverability compared to the other craft. Pharazon's favorite was an older ship, an N1 nubian with the design of the king in Armenelos on its front. When Pharazon did not return from his travels after one particularly long visit, Palantir took his V-wing and went in search of his brother, leaving his sister Miriel in control at Orrostar.
Pharazon had left one last message for his brother before his disappearance. "Boga. Utapau. Clone."
Palantir traveled far in search of his brother, first going to the Utapau system and looking for this Boga. Boga turned out to be the name of a Varactyl that met her death upon the issuance of Order 66. She was the mount of the Jedi Kenobi, and was killed by blaster fire from an AT-TE, fire that was meant to kill her rider. Palantir learned this from from an aged Pau-an there, an aristocrat by the name of Medon. He also learned that his brother had abandoned his beloved N1 fighter in lieu of a stealthier craft. Pharazon's motive behind this became clear to Palantir when he discovered that his brother was being shadowed by a bounty hunter working for the rebellion.
After confronting the hitman, Palantir discovered that he was assigned to recover a green crystal that Pharazon had acquired from a clone who had stayed on the planet following the execution of Order 66. Apparently this clone had stayed loyal to his Jedi, and had held a lightsaber crystal that was from the weapon of K'Kruhk, a jedi whose lightsaber was stolen and used by General Grievious. This information led him to Ilum, then to Kamino, and finally to Naboo. It was here that he found that his brother had joined the navy, and had been deployed to the Avatar Orbital Platform.
Palantir had heard of this place and was worried for his brother because he had heard of the skirmishes that were breaking out on the planet near where the platform where his brother was deployed; Kashyyyk. He set off for the platform immediately, in his v-wing, leaving his brother's fighter behind in the Theed hanger
He was to late. Pharazon had been killed by rebellion soldiers during a raid on the barracks on the Avatar platform. Unfortunetely the platform fell into rebel hands during the fight when Pharazon was killed. This put off Palantir's investigation for a while.
Palantir then journeyed to the only place he felt safe; the Imperial navy. He wanted to join for three reasons: out of service to the Empire; because of his skill in piloting; and in hopes of finding out more of his brothers story, and the crystal
