Bios are required for all Navy members. For those of you wondering what a bio is I shall define it in a minute. For now you need to know that you need one and that it is now part of the Navy training process. All incoming trainees will be required to write a bio before they can be placed on active duty. Everyone else should already have a bio, and if you don't you better get one.

A bio is short synposis or description of your character. It needs to include some things but a lot of it is entirely up to you. You can put anything you want in your Bio with few restrictions, which I shall post later on.

I will be going through the roster and checking peoples bios on a regular basis. If you lack a bio or your bio could use improvements you will be seeing an email from me asking you to improve upon it. I will only be going by the roster page for profile information, not the Story Comnet or any other place.

Restrictions:
You may not include any Force related material in your bio. I know everyone wants to be a Jedi or use the Force, but you have to realize the time period. Jedi were non existent and even if you were Force Sensitive you would not know it. If you have Force Sensitive content in your Bio I would consider rewriting it unless you are in the DJO.

Should you have Force related material I want you to email [email protected] and convince me that you should be allowed to keep it. For all new people that join you will not be allowed to use any hints of the Force or Jedi unless you convince me otherwise.

Required Items:
Your bio needs to have physical descriptions of your character. This is mainly for the story writing aspects. and frankly if you can't visualize your character how can your write about them. It should have some standard information but I am not making certain requirements. Use your own judgement on what you should include because after all it is YOUR character.

Some of the recommended physical attributes you should include would be height, hair color/style, eye color, skin color/shade, weight, race, and anything special about your character, like scars and such.

Formatting:
Your bio should be well formatted and grammatically correct. I have made a sample bio below for format purposes only. I recommend writing it in a word processor so you can have spell checking and grammar checking as well. Your bio reflects your writing so you want it to look good.

Here is an example of some good formatting for abio. You need to make it easily readable and make it look good and logical.

Content will be here. You should make sure it is logical and grammatically correct. It should also have a nice form. You do not need to have the same fields, only some required characteristics. You may add or delete whatever you wish to your bio.
